Weighty issues

Dang, I haven't lost an ounce! I'm supposed to trim down just a bit. I have been sticking to my diet, but no luck. Treadmill here I come?

Well, turns out I am getting the benefit of my "sister's" RAW diet - She doesn't really like it yet - but, it's YUMMY to me! So, the extra that is defrosted comes my way!!! It will be interesting to see if it makes my coat even more soft and fluffy. It has been suggested it will assist in my weight loss goal - we'll see.

Tastes great, either way!

We're already in our furever home! We didn't have to move - our foster family decided we should STAY!

We love the heated beds, sunny windows with birds to watch and especially the catnip toys! This is the best Valentine & early birthday pawresent, too! (My birthday is in March!)

Home Sweet Foster Home

We're back...actually, we just spent one night with our prospective new human...turns out, we are more active than she bargained for! Not in a bad way, just explorers and climbers. She had something else in mind. Our foster mom came right away and brought us back to our familiar surroundings. We have been laying low for a couple of weeks - it was very emotional for our foster humans and us. Sometimes it helps to take a DEEP breath and stretch.

OMC! We just learned that we are moving! Not far away, but to a human who is so excited to love us. It is all happening so fast.....but, that's just how it is - one day you win the love lottery.

Mary is taking a nap. I can't wait to tell her! We love it here, but we will have our own family to cover with cat hair. Our foster family already has 3 contributors of that commodity.

Bye for now, I've got to get packed. I get to take my favorite things!

Is it possible?

I went nose to nose today with Muffin and she didn't hiss at me! OMC! Could this mean my foster sister is tolerating me, at last? I hope so. I'm big, but I'm friendly....really. Tara and Biscuit seem to have gotten the message that I am just curious. Up until this afternoon, Muffin would have none of it. Here's hoping we are off to a fresh start in this new year.

May the truce last. I am the most gentle kitty my foster humans have ever known - and the BIGGEST!

Just trying to have fun!

I have lived all of my life with just one other kitty, Mary. We really need each other to be happy. Right now, we live with a foster family of 3 female felines! MOL, they all hiss at me!! Honestly, I just want to play chase & wrestle - I am not mean.

Those girl kitties HISS at me & I drop my head and walk away. They won't even give me a chance. I know I'm big - but I am SWEET! Really.

Mary and I like to chase the laser dot up and down the darkened hallway in the evening. Sort of a post dinner - pre bedtime exercise. Mary likes to run in circles on the carpet - I'm more of a distance kind of guy. Give me the length of the house for a good run.

Midday is best for chasing Da'Bird. I can leap and jump - but then I get lazy & roll over on my back. My foster mom still swings the birdy by & I get to swat at it.

Mary and I are still in search of that special forever home. We have a sweet deal here, though! It will be a lucky & very special adoptor who gets us!

More to love!

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE???? That vet lady said I have GAINED weight! MOL. I told her it is FUR. Remember??? You shaved it off when I first arrived at my foster home. It was matted and awful - now, it is soft and fluffy. That's where the half pound comes from. FUR! And big bones!

Foster Mom has kept me on a managed amount of food - which I have told her time and again is not enough! We'll see how the new blended diet goes.......I suppose a treadmill is next? Or, I could just chase Tara! She's always hissing at me.

I see those footballs.......that looks like fun!

The importance of human companionship

MOL, MOL! My foster mom was away on business for a couple of days - so, I only got morning and evening human attention. She's back now and I am all over her desk and computer.

I meowed so loud, she took my temperature! EEUUWW! But, then I got treats and more hugs. She's taking me to the vet, just in case. She's such a worrier! I'm fine, I just missed her.

SPORTS!

Wow, football and baseball on TV today. This place is great. My housemates are all girls & could care less - but, fortunately there is a male foster human here. We kick back and watch the games together.

During commercial breaks, I take a stroll through the house - just to stretch my legs and see if there are any snacks around. Dang! I knew something was missing. Oh well, dinner will have to do. Or, I could MOL really loud & see if that works? No results. Okay, I'll have to find one of the girls to annoy. That little Tara hisses at me. Then, she just scampers off and scratches at MY scratching post!

Okay, back to the game. Texas A&M vs Kansas in College Station! This is going wrong - let's check out the World Series.......MOL, it looks cold in Denver.

Dinner time - sports will have to wait.........don't change the channel......
