Christmas and other stuff

I thought I would get mum to help me write a Christmas diary as it three days until the man red comes to visit.

I want to thank all my mates that have sent Christmas rosettes so far mum has kept up with sending them back. It was nice to be thought of.

My family were given a huge early Christmas present last week. My Grandma has a skin cancer on leg that is being treated with a cream. She went to the doctors for a check up and it seems to working. If it continues to work Grandma won't need an operation to remove it.

If you could can you please spare some purrs for my Grandpa. My Grandpa went to see the neurologist last week to try and get some answers for his sudden and tempary loss of vision a few months ago. The doctor can't tell him what or why it happened so she sent him for an MRI today and we should get the results not long after Christmas.

I hope all my mates and their families have a safe and Merry Christmas. I hope Santa paws bring you everything you could wish for and more.

I continue to purr for those doing it tough.

Power of the paw and the purr rocks

My Grandma got her biopsy results today and she has a highly treatable skin cancer. The doctor decided the best course of action for now is treat it with a cream that will hopefully get rid of it.

If that doesn't work Grandma will have to have an operation to remove it. But as mum said it far better than the alternatives.

I want to thank all my mates that purred for my Grandma and rosettes of support. I know all your purrs and support did make a huge difference in the outcome.

Again it great to have great mates that will stand by you in times of need. I can't put into words how much this means to me.

Purrs and hugs your very grateful Aussie mate.

Another call to purrs

They say bad news comes in threes and with my family that's the case. First Grandpa, then me, now my Grandma is in need of your purrs.

My Grandma went to have biopsy on a growth on her leg that's been there for while and the doctor thinks it may be melanoma cancer. We won't get the result until Sunday.

I would appreciate it if all my mates can join me in purring for my Grandma that is something less evil. I love my Grandma like the rest of my family.

While bad news comes in threes. I hope the power of the paw and the purr works in threes too.

I'm a diary pick and other stuff

Mum got home from work not long ago. She told me she was going to be gone for four hours or so and then it turned into 8 hours and I thought she was never coming home.

When mum did get home on the computer she got an email telling us that I am a dairy pick. I thought the diary chick had forgotten all about me.

I would like to thank the diary chick for picking. While I've had this honor a lot it never gets old. I love that someone is reading my diary and enjoying it.

Now to the other stuff. I want to thank all my mates for the purrs and the support when I was sick. Mum was really worried about me when I wouldn't eat.

We didn't have the time to reply to all the messages on here and on mum's facebook account but let me tell you all one thing every message was read and really appreciated.

I also want to thank my mates who sent rosettes too. It was comforting to know in times of need I have great mates that are there for me and mum.

I am still taking anti biotics for the next few days but I feel like a new cat. I am doing everything that I used to. I'm eating like a horse again. Mum reckons at the moment it might be cheaper to feed a horse and I even gave mum catitude the other day.

I hope this finds my mates and their families happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.

I'm home from the vet

I know that is one place I don't want to spend the day again any time soon. I got poked and prodded all day even had some blood stolen and my sore toe had a needle stuck in it and that really hurt too.

The up shot of everything is that the blood work came back all clear and my swollen toe was an infected abscess and the vet seems to think that my infected toe made me feel sick.

I must have been sick to not eat for a day and bit. I never miss a meal and let my humans know it about when they forget to feed me.

I have to have anti biotics twice a day for week. Not something I enjoy but it makes feel better than so be it. One of the great upsides was mum feed me roast chicken when I got home and I ate it all up. I know that won't happen every day but it sure was nice.

Thanks to all my mates that purred for me and sent me rosettes it's great to know that I have so many mates that care about me. Mum and I both appreciated your support.

Ka - zar's mum here. Ka - zar was doing a little better this morning and ate a little bit of roast chicken and went to his food bowl to sniff the food. He looked more alert and more interested with what was going on around him.

Ka - zar is at the vet hospital having some blood work done and x ray on a swollen toe on his back paw. We are both knocked out at how many kitties are purring for him and we both really appreciate it. Will update you all with another entry in
Ka - zar's diary when we know more. Should be later this afternoon.

Purrs and hugs from Ka - zar and Vicki (Ka - zar's mum)

I need purrs

I don't like to do this but I need all mates to purr for me. I'm not feeling very well at all. I'm not eating and I love my food. I'm being very distant from my people and also pooped outside the box which I never do.

I sat outside in the sun and that didn't even make me feel better. Mum is really worried about me.

Mum feels bad because she had to work this afternoon and couldn't take me to the vet this today. She said if I'm no better tomorrow she'll get the first available appointment she can.

What I'm thankful for.

My American mates celebrate thanksgiving on 24th November every year. While I am an Aussie moggie it does hurt to remember what I am thankful for in my life as we should all take time to count the blessings in our lives.

Here are the things I am thankful for.

For my mum adopting me all those years ago when I was a week away from going to the bridge. Also never giving up on me despite moving four times in my life.

For my health. Being older kitty and only needing to go to the vet once a year and being in good health is something I really cherish.

For the food I get to eat everyday.

For a warm place to sleep and a place to call my furever home.

For the love I get from all my humans not just Mum. My Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Grant too.

Last but my no means the least I am thankful to my catster mates for making catster a wonderful place to come and visit and know that through the good and bad times there are kitties that care about me.

I hope this finds my mates and their famiies happy and healthy and I send my purrs those doing it tough. Have a happy and safe thanksgiving.

Not much to tell

As the title says there isn't much to tell at the moment but I thought I would write a quick diary entry to let everyone know how I'm going.

Everything with me going well. We've had plenty of sun lately so I've been spending most of my days outside in the sun or finding a sun puddle in the house. Managed to almost trip mum over this morning she doesn't know if I'm there she meant to walk around me.

With 5 weeks until Christmas I may be a mate at large. Mum's work is starting to pick up again. Since mum works in a supermarket and people do generally buy food to eat over Christmas I may not be around much.

I hope I don't miss out on too much but you are all in thoughts.

I hope this finds my mates and their families happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.

My Grandpa got his test results today and he is going to be ok. He has slight narrowing of the arteries in his neck and is being put on stronger tablet to prevent this episode happening a again.

I want to give huge thank you to all my mates that purred for my Grandpa. There is great power in a group of cats purring for someone in need.

I think my next entry might be on Friday. I'll tell you all about mum's birthday.
