Grandpa's surgery went well.

It has been a long and stressful day at our house today but I'm happy to say that my Grandpa's surgery went well.

He in the ICU for observation tonight but all went and he has no bag. He was awake and trying to crack jokes with the nurses went Grandma and uncle Grant left. He was still groggy but in good sprits.

Mum I stayed home and did phone patrol all day. It's not what happens that the killer it's not knowing at all. We got a call from Grandma at 5:30pm have you heard from the hospital Grandpa isn't back in ICU yet.

Mad panic set in when mum said no and then not much longer after that call uncle Grant called us back and told us that Grandpa was ok. Turns out he was in recovery longer than expected since they had trouble waking him up and mum reckons that figures for a lot.

Can you please continue the purrs the lesion they removed will now be biopsyed and we will get the results in the next couple days.

I want to thank all my mates for their support through all of this. It mates like you that make catster a great place.

Purrs and hugs your very grateful Aussie mate

We got great news yesterday that Grandpa's surgery for his bowel cancer will be done on 14th August. It has to be delayed for two weeks as my Grandpa is on really strong blood thinners and he has to be off them for two weeks before they can operate.

Can you please join me in purring for him. He has gone on low dose aspirin so the operation can be done safely.

I want to thank my mates that have been asking about my Grandpa and purring for him.

I hope this finds my mate happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.

It nice to have something positive to write in my diary after all the stuff that's been going on with my Grandpa lately.

I firstly want to thank all my mates that purred and continue to purr for my Grandpa knowing you are all out there and that you care about me and my family means the world to me. There are too many to list here but you all know who you are and you are all really appreciated.

Mum checked her emails before and catster sent a email to tell us I'm a diary pick. I want to thank the diary chick for the honour. It nice to be picked as I don't write in my diary that often any more and the only things I've been writing about lately is my Grandpa and the big c.

I hope all my mates and their families are happy and healthy and I send purrs to those doing it tough.

Grandpa's test results are back

My Grandpa went to see the surgeon today to get his test results. The good news is that the cancer hasn't spread. The lesion is a big bugger that is inside Grandpa's bowel they can cut it out that's not the worry it how they are going to cut it out that concern.

It is easier due to Grandpa other health problems if they can do keyhole surgery. Other wise it will be a full operation and either way they are going to remove some of Grandpa's bowel but that's not an issue because a human has 7 meters of bowel and the surgeon said he won't miss what they are going to cut out.

The surgery will be done in the next month. A date is yet to be set.

I want to thank everyone who purred for my Grandpa your love and support mean the world to me.

My Grandpa had his colonsopy and he has bowel cancer. Don't know any more at the moment as they are doing more test to determine the extend of the cancer. It's in his upper bowel and now they are doing test to find out if it has spread to other organs and what kind of cancer it is.

Please can you keep my Grandpa in your purrs. We will find out next Wednesday if the cancer has spread and when they will do the surgery that's required to remove it.

A another call to purrs

I know all I seem to writing about in my diary is asking for my mates to purr for my Grandpa lately but I need you to join me in purring for him once again.

My Grandpa as most of my mates know has been losing a pint of blood for quiet a while now. On Tuesday of next week he is going to have colonsopy done. They could find anything from something very minor to bowel cancer. Even if they find bowel cancer the doctor think it will be caught early.

We are all worried about him as the unknown is more worrying than knowing.

Can you please spare some purrs for my Grandpa. I hope my mates aren't sick of this request but we all love him dearly and the power of the paw has helped in the past.

I hope this find my mates and their families happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.

As most of my mates know yesterday was my 14th birthday and I just wanted to write a diary entry to thank all my mates that made the day great.

I didn't do all that much but it did warm up enough for me to go for a walk outside and that was special in itself as I haven't been out of the house for the last week or so since it been so cold.

Having mum home for most of the day was another great birthday present. She only went out for a little while to go out and buy me my birthday feast of roast chicken. Mum asked me what I wanted for my birthday and that was the top of my list. My humans don't eat roast chicken that much anymore so it really is a treat.

I also want to thank my mates that send rosettes and pawmails.

Cupcakes were sent by Pie, Sprirt and the cupcake king Tate.

American cheese - Hobo and Phantom thanks guys it was really tasty never had it before.

Shrimps that I threw on the barbie and they really went down a treat were sent by Gump, Macy and Big Harry and his family.

two beatuiful blue birds that made the most beautiful sound were sent by my two great lady friends Samoa and Monida

A birthday hat was sent by my great mates Angel Henry, Toby and the beautiful Josie

My great Candian mates, Jobe, Jillian and Jasper send me a nice trophy that will take pride and place on the mantle piece.

Jasper my wonderful mate send me a daffodil as nice remind of spring and why I love to go out doors.

Last but by no means least I want to thank Blade and Moppie and the Tabbies of trout town for sending pawmail messages.

I would also like to thank Abby from catster kewlest kitties group for making the wonderful graphic that has been on my page for the last couple days,

I would also like to thank my mate Pie for putting on a wonderful birthday party for me at the BC last night. I had a great time catching up with my mates. Even if it kept mum and I up way beyond our normal bed time.

I think this all the thank yous I have.

I hope this finds my mates and their families happy healthy and I send purrs to though doing it tough.

I want to thank all my mates that purred for my Grandpa. Power of the paw and purr really works.

My Grandpa doesn't have bowel cancer he has a bleeding plop. He will have to go and have further investigations done but it something that can be fixed.

Luckily my Grandpa has three monthly blood tests as part of his routine treatment plan for his diabetes and this was picked up early as plops can turn into bowel cancer.

Again thanks for your purrs and what ever else you did. I have great mates here on catster. That's what makes catster great when time are tough I know I have great mates here to support me and that means the world to me.

I hope this finds my mates and their families happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.

Thanks diary gal for picking me. It always an honour to be picked.

For those mates that are purring for my Grandpa he will go to the doctors to get the test results on Tuesday and I want to thank everyone that purring for my Grandpa as I love him and hope he's going to be ok.
