My weekly rant for the week ending 10th October 2009

My rant is getting written early for change. Mum is home and it doing while she has the time and remembers. I don't know who has furt brain more lately me or Mum.

I want to send a thank you and shout out to Jazzi for doing the great graphic on my page for my being the paws group featured member of the month. Mum wanted to put a graphic on my page to commemorate the achievement.

Mum started a new volunteer job this week. Working three a days a week a local primary school as a class room assistant / integration aide. If everything works out for her she may get paid work out of it. I miss Mum when she not home with me too. But when Mum's not home uncle Grant takes great care of me and I've never lonely.

Mum come home really sore as everything is made for little people and mum being 5"10 has had to bend down all day to the kids. Mum has come home and said she's enjoying it and how everyone is making her feel welcome.

The weather here is still really cold. It been raining most of the week and we even had a hail storm earlier in the week. It was that bad Grandpa had to go and get mum from school as she walks four blocks to the bus stop and she would've been doing it in the rain. If any kitty can spare some heat could they please send it my way.

This is going to be short rant as there isn't much for me to write about. My week has been pretty boring. I hope all my mates and their families are happy and healthy. Thanks for reading.

My weekly rant for the week ending October 3rd 2009

I seem to have very little to write in my diary for my rant or I have lots and this week I seem to have a quite a bit don't know if I'd go as far to say it's lots.

Earlier this week as most of you who read my diary regularly would know I was made the PAWS group featured member of the month. It's truly a great honour as I love being a part of the PAWS group as I love everything the group stands for.

I've been blessed with good health and a loving home all my life and it just seems right to give to those kitties and pups that aren't as fortunate as me and this honour was made even better because I got to share it with so many of my mates.

I want to thank everyone that sent me pawmail and rosettes with message of congrats as they all meant a lot to me. I also as I've said before dedicate my month in the spotlight to my mate Calvin.

I am happy to say after not eating for a few days Calvin gave as all quite a scare but he seems to be doing better. I am purring like crazy for Calvin's continued improvement and mate keeping eating so you can put back on the weight you've lost.

I am doing a happy dance as the weather is starting to get warmer and when that happens it means I can go out for longer. I even have mum totally convinced I have a secret girlfriend somewhere in a neighbourhood.

There are some things I don't even tell my mum. All she needs to know is that I don't go near the road and I will come back as I love her too much. I'll just keep mum guessing for now.

Well that's the end of rant for this week. Hope everyone that reads this is happy and healthy. Thanks for reading too.

What a truly great honour this is. Mum checked her emails before going to bed last night and she got an email that said I've been made PAWS angels featured member of the month. I'm so honoured to be chosen for this honour as I love everything that the PAWS group stand for. This is what on the top of the group page.

We strive to spread Love and Kindness
We spread love and kindness to pups and kitties who are sick, missing, or recently left for the bridge. We spread kindness by giving rosettes, treats, pal requests, and sending pmails.

I just do this as I've been blessed with great health and a loving home all my life. It just seems natural to help those in need and I will continue to do so as long as I can.

I want to dedicate my month in spotlight to my mate Calvin who doing it tough at the moment.

My weekly rant for the week ending 26th September 2009

Seems my last rant was all about my mate Calvin. I have a bit to write about to catch everyone up on what I've been up to the last week and a bit.

I would like to start by thanking some mates for the rosettes for talk like a pirate day and my DDP. It nice to share things like being DDP with mates as it makes the honour that more special.

Firstly I would like to thank the following kitties for the rosettes for talk like a pirate day.

Ra, Alexander, Utu and family and Calvin

Also I would like to thank the following kitties for Rosette for my DDP

Miss Muppet
Calvin
Tate and Tonka
Reebok
Ra, Alexander, Utu and family

Also I would like to thank the great Angel Buddie and his family for sending a pawmail from the bridge for DDP.

Sorry these thank yous are but late the human help has been very slack this week. May I add this has a lot to with the weather being cold here in the last week and Mum hands have been very stiff.

There hasn't been that much going on with me other than being pick as a daily diary pick again this is the third time this year and it nice to know that someone is reading my diary and the diary chick digs it.

I must write my rant with an Aussie accent or something if anyone can tell me why this keeps happening please share it with me as it a secret I would love to know the answer to. curiosity kills the cat as mum says it murders me sometimes.

It grand final week here in Victoria at the moment. Aussie rules football is huge in Australia at this time of the year. The season is played over 22 weeks and then 4 weeks of finals if you team is good and lucky enough to make it to the grand final like my team the Geelong cats have the last three years in row.

we're one win and one loss on grand final day so I'm keeping all my paws crossed we win tomorrow. They call the grand final that one day in September.

Well that's all I have to write about at the moment. I hope this rant finds all my mates and their families happy and healthy.

I just got home from the vet. It was only for my annual shots and check up and I was given another clean bill of health. The vet said for my age I'm still pretty fit. I also had my claws clipped and Grandma has put some clippers on order so I can have it done more regularly.

Mum is doing a happy dance and so I am I.

The Diary chick must really dig me I'm DDP again

I'm really starting to wonder about the chick that does the DDP? Mum got an email telling her I'm a DDP for the third time this year. I don't think I write anything that interesting in my diary for my weekly rant so it must be my Aussie charm or is my diary written with an Aussie accent?

I don't what it is or why the diary chick keeps picking me but thanks for picking me what ever the reason as it's a great honour and it's nice to know someone is reading my diary.

My weekly rant for the week ending 19th September 2009 - (It's all about Calvin)

September 18th 2009 3:21 pm

I would like to dedicate this rant to my mate Calvin and make this rant a call to purrs. This week my good mate and everyone's good mate Calvin was taken to the vet because he wasn't eating and was listless.

Yesterday I found out that he may have the big C cancer. I want to ask every kitty that reads this to purr for Calvin. I want to make it all about him this week.

When I first joined catster he was one of the first kitties to extend the paw for friendship and now he needs all the mates he can get purring for him as the vet said he needs a miracle for not to be cancer.

I believe in the power of the purr and let's hope there is one more miracle out there for Calvin as he's a great guy. I want to spread the word as much as I can. As if there is any kitty that deserves a miracle it's Calvin.

I'm not going to write about anything else this week. Sorry for the gloom but as part of the title says it's all about Calvin and I want to keep it that way.

My weekly rant for the week ending 11 th September 2009

I haven't been up to much this week as it's still really cold here in Australia at the moment and Ballarat has been rather wet as it's rained for most of the last week.

It been great weather for staying inside and sleeping in front of heater and on weekend watching the Aussie rules footy on tv as the finals started last weekend.

Australians love their sport. At this time of the year it Aussie rules footy for most of us. My team the cats are still in it and won't play again until next week. Mum team the Carlton Blues made the finals and bowed out last week.

Mr sun I'm happy to say put in an extended appearance today. It was nice and sunny but it was windy too. Mum had to go and do something in town and the wind was that strong it was blowing her sideways on the foot path when she tried to walked anywhere. I hope it goes away soon as I don't like the wind through my fur.

I don't what it is I can't really put a paw on it but I've had a long of extra energy lately. Mum says I've got my mojo back. I've been eating senior cat food which is really agreeing with my tummy as I haven't barfed hardly at all lately. Mum been bring home different favours of the food and letting me try it. I even got roast chicken last night my all time favourite.

Well I've ranted enough for this week. Hope all my mates and their families are healthy and happy.

My weekly rant for the week ending September 5th 2009

September 5th 2009 6:27 am

It is 11:20pm so my rant has to be written in the next 40 minutes or it's a day a late. I'm writing it this late as Mum has been busy today and just remembered to help me write it.

Well more to the point it's late as footy finals have been on at my house all day. My team the Geelong cats played this afternoon and won and Mum team the Carlton blues played tonight and lost heart breaker. Mum did say at the end of the day it's only sport and she's right.

I'm happy to say the 1st September was the first day of spring and Mr Sun is putting in an appearance. He's a little bit warmer but not much but it's better than nothing. The wind is still around and I wish it would go away as I hate going outside and having the wind blow through my fur.

I want kitties to join me in purring for the wonderful Sissy who is having surgery on September 11th to remove a tumour from her leg. This is all I know as I read about it on the PAWS angles group page. I believe with the power of the purr Sissy can recover from this. So please join me purring for this pawsome catster kitty.

Well that's my news for the week. My furt brain can't remember if there is anything else to write about. Hope all my mates and their families are happy and healthy.

My weekly rant for the week ending August 29th 2009

August 28th 2009 5:27 am

Gee time flies when your on catster with a lot of great mates. It doesn't seems that long ago we were in a heat wave of extreme heat and now I'm talking about the cold.

I have had an adventure this week that is a touch embarrassing but I'm going to write about it anyway.

Grandma and uncle Grant (mum's brother) have been away for the week. Mum and Grandpa have been home to look after me and when Mum is home alone I follow her everywhere.

I went and sat under Mum's computer chair and she is always telling me off for doing it and says she will hurt me one day. Well yesterday that day came. I sat under her chair thinking she knew where I was. All of sudden she put the chair leg on my front paw and I let out an all might scream. I don't know who was more scared me or Mum.

I took off like bullet and mum came running after me to make sure I was alright. Mum caught up with and checked me over to make sure she hadn't done any serious damage and them came and gave me a cuddle and said I screamed louder than girl. Mum also tell me I meow like girl is trying to tell me something. How embarrassing.

When Mum adopted me she was told I was a girl. Being the runt of litter. I was a little guy as a kitten and I'm still a little guy now. Mum only found out about my manhood when I was desexed. Maybe I just like to show off my feminine side more than most other male cats.

I haven't done much this week as I have been home alone alot as my humans have been in and out all week. It great to spend time alone but it's been great to spend time with Mum too and have her all to myself.

It's been great snuggling weather here still. If any kitty could spare some sun it would be really appreciated. We've had a few nice sunnyish days this week but I know mUm's old bones would like some more.

If you read this far thanks for reading until the end. I hope all my mates and their families are healthy and happy.
