The Rules

1. I live in a retirement community with my folks and like to chase geckos on the windows.

2. I like to help my mama brush her teeth and make the bed.
3. I am the announcer of visitors (and storms) to our house.

4. I like high places and bedevil my folks constantly by climbing to the top of the cupboards and the sliding glass door.

5. I was named after my Papa. When he was in the Air Force the guys called him Sammy (for Balsamo).

6. I wait patiently until 6:00 am and then start playing with my toys and push them under the folks bedroom door to let them know it is time to start my day.
7. I like to hide and jump out at my folks and grab their legs and hear them squeal.

New week

Well, yesterday was exciting.
I got my parents all going by
climbing in the kitchen, -- again!

When I hear storms coming, I like
to climb. Don't know why but it
drives my folks nuts. I go from
the floor to the glass top range
to the hood to the cupboard
and start roaming. I then go
to the valance over the sliding
glass doors and they sway a bit
as I am 12 lbs of lovableness.

My Papa can reach me to get me down,
but my Mama yells at me as she is
afraid I might step on a turned off
burner that is still hot and hurt myself.
She has to put pots on them to save
me, whatever that means.

We have a newfridge and I like to go
to that side too and then I can reach
another cupboard and really look
out over my whole domain. I keep
really still when they can't find me and
just stare at them until they feel my
eyes on them and say, Oh Samm-u-el!!!!

Oh meow, it is time for a nap. I have had
all my needs taken care of for now.

More company ...

My human sister and her guy from J-ville came down
to visit me today. Sis actually wanted to go for a swim
in our community pool with Mom but, hey, that's ok.
The guys talked golf and watched some of it. They kept
changing rooms so much I got tired following them
around.

I got a condo type thing from the last bunch that was
here and they made me go through my tricks. Mom
took some pictures of cute me and they will be posted
soon.

Ho meow-hum! I must go relax now.

Wow, Friday the 13th

Now all you cats know, we aren't
superstitious, but my mom is a bit.
I best be extra careful today.

Yesterday I behaved like a cat and
helped with a jigsaw puzzle on the
dining room table. Boy, did THAT
cause a ruckus. I don't see what's
to get excited all that much about.
I was just trying to help.

What shall I do today. Hmmmm.
Guess I will help with the making of
the bed. That always goes over well
or maybe help brushing teeth.

The storms came through ...

Well, another hot one today in Florida. A nice thunderboomer just came through my world. I like them but I don't like the noise they make on the skylights or the carport. I alert my mom that they are coming, as I hear them way before she does! MOL. I am the same way with someone coming to the door.

Time to get the front door open so I can snooze. You see, even though we are airconditioned, spoiled me gets to have my door open because that's the way it works around here.

Company Leaves

Well, now we are back to ourselves.
I must say that I am missing the company
that has been here for a while.

I am going to check on my food bowl now.
You know that I don't like it empty.
