Dear Diary,
I never realized how much fun a crumpled up wad of paper could be! I've been chasing it around the apartment all day, wearing myself out. I sometimes get so tired that I just plop down wherever I am and take a nap.
My mommy thinks it's adorable and gives me lots of human kisses. Too bad she still insists on giving me my medicine... and not allowing me onto the dinner table. What's up with that?!

Dear Diary,
This morning, my human gave me the medicine that the shelter provided when I was released. Since being neutered, I've been required to take two medications orally: Metacam (a painkiller that makes me sleepy for a few hours) and Doxycycline (an antibiotic). I already know when she's getting ready to medicate me because she always acts nice and calls me onto her lap. Then, as soon as I get comfortable, she sticks her fingers in my mouth! I fight back but she always wins, sticking the syringe into my mouth that releases that horrible medicine.
She tells me she's sorry but I don't believe her. If she was really sorry, she would've stopped torturing me like this after she first saw how much I didn't like it. But she keeps doing it! She says there's one more week left of the antibiotics. Can you believe that?! Seven more days of that yellow oily liquid. Eugh.
The upside to this whole situation? She feels really badly afterwards and treats me extra nicely. She lets me have extra treats, plays with me a little bit longer than usual, and lets me sleep in her lap as long as I want (and, ooh, do I love napping!).
Purr,
Dixon
