My Birthday Presents!

Yesterday was my birthday! First I'd like to say I am so thankful to be alive. I recently lost another one of my 9 lives. In addition to that, I got a couple of presents: a pink boa toy, a new pink litter box (since I'm getting older so now I have two), and a brand new fresh bag of food, even though my old one wasn't finished! Whoo hoo! Dad didn't like that mom got me so much pink, but I was cool with it all!

My mom wanted to buy me a water fountain, but they all seem to be made out of plastic, and I'm allergic to plastic. Then she thought of getting me a wagon; so she can take me outside w/ the dogs while I'm in my kennel, but dad thought I'd be traumatized (and lose another 1 of my 9 lives). So I just had to settle with the smaller presents. I did have to take my meds yesterday even though it was my birthday. And of course, I did spit some out at my mom, but she survived. So overall I had a great birthday!

Also I'd like to say thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes and presents and get well wishes, too. You are all very nice. I'm glad to have so many thoughtful friends here on Catster.

Last but not least, I am SO GLAD Mr. D (Darwin), Raza's big baby boy, arrived home safely!!

I Hate My Medicine and My Meowmy!

My Meomy has been force feeding me my medicine, and I hate it. I hate my meomy, too! She gets a towel out. Then she wraps me in it. I mean do I look like something that belongs inside of a burrito??! After that she gets this mini plunger, and she shoves it into my mouth squeezing the gross medicine down my throat! I hate it I tell ya! If you think I look grumpy with my normal face, you should see what I look like after my medicine.

Now, whenever my meowmy walks by me to pet me, I always look at her hands to see if she is holding the dreaded towel or plunger! Can you blame me for being paranoid? If she thinks I am going to forgive her for this, she is fooling herself! By the way, do they have classified ads here on Catster? I'm going to put out an ad looking for a new meowmy!!

I Went to the Vet!

I went to the vet, twice, once yesterday and once today! UGH! Now I am hiding under the table (yes, I stole mom's laptop and have it here with me). I have tiny crystals & a urinary infection! Now I am on a special food that my mom has to buy from the vet. He said I dont need surgery as they are very tiny, but I have to stay on this food for the rest of my life. Hopefully I won't have any more problems.

Oh, the way my mom found out I had a problem was by using this special litter. It is called "Health Meter Early Detection System Cat Litter." My mom didn't fill my whole litter box with it, just spread it on top. It changes color after you pee on it, if it detects a possible problem. I used it a few months ago, and it stayed the same color, an off yellow/white. This time when my mom used it. It turned a distinct blue. So mama took me to the vet. The vet thought the litter might not work too well, but sure enough, when my lab results came back from my urinalysis, it showed I had tiny crystals and a urinary infection.

I've Been Tagged....

My Birthday is Tomorrow!

Even though my birthday is tomorrow, I received my presents yesterday! My mom bought me a new food bowl and some new feather toys! I love my new bowl; it looks like an orange cat w/a face & tail! Guess who it looks like? That's right....me!!! She bought it at Target for all you kitties out there who want one, and the bowls come in different colored kitties!!

I am not much of a party animal, despite tthe fact hat I look like one. So tomorrow I will most likely sleep & then hang out on the couch w/Halo Kitty (my chihuahua). Have you ever read the book "Harry Cat's Pet Puppy?" Well, that is kind of what the deal is here. Only my book would be called "Apollo Cream's Pet Chihuahua."

I've Been Furminated!!!

Today I was Furminated by my mommy!! She bought me the new "Furminator deshedding tool!" First she gave me a comb through with my regular comb to make sure I had no tangles. Then she used the Furminator! She was very gentle & careful, since the directions said not to apply too much pressure. Oh, my excess fur was coming off like crazy. Using the Furminator & my regular comb gave me the best grooming I've ever had in my life! I looked quite handsome afterwards!Although I didn't get as much hair on the floor as the animals on the Furminator website, my human brother said it looked like mommy shrank me! I like this Furminator!!

One Chihuahua Too Many!

Ever live in a house where you don't like someone? Well, welcome to my world. I live in a house with not one, but two chihuahuas,. One is a little black energizer puppy, Halo Kitty, and the other is a primadonna, brown chihuahua named Tinker Bell Forever.

The little one, I don't mind. She thinks I am in love with her, but the truth is I just love the couch, and well, that happens to be where she is. The other chihuahua, Tinker Bell, I don't care for her. As I type, she is sitting next to me on the couch, staring at me, wagging her tail, and trying to give me kisses! How I put up with this I'll never know. I'm leaving!!
