Oh my oh my oh my. Mother was exceptionally cruel to me today. I was having a nice nap on the cat tree after breakfast when she suddenly grabbed me and shoved me in the carrier. Horror! I knew I was doomed. Yes! She took me to the V-E-T!!! She said I only cried a little bit on the way there. Usually I howl she says. Nonsense. I NEVER cry or howl. I'm a lady.
I had to go to that awful place for my annual checkup, rabies shot and blood work. And to be weighed. Oh my.
On the bright side, I got a clean bill of health but I'm supposed to go back soon to have my teeth cleaned. Ooooo, I don't want that! No no no!!!
I'm very pleased to report that I have lost another pound and a bit. I'm down to 12 pounds. Oh my. I'm so beautiful and svelte. Take note all you handsome boys. Two years ago when I was (allegedly) pushing 19 pounds the vet said I had to get down to 11. Today he says I should get down to 10. What????? Mother says I could get there much more quickly if she fed me the special diet food that I had in the very beginning but she figures she'll just keep doing what she's been doing this past year since I'm not obese anymore. What???? I never was!!!! What a terrible fibber she is.
Well, I need another nap. I'm still recovering from today's trauma.

Oh my oh my oh my. First there was the anonymous rosie. Next, there was a notice on our door on Friday from the Post Office notifying us that there was a package there waiting for us to be picked up. Then, the mystery package was picked up yesterday afternoon. This morning the package was opened. Do you know what was inside? There were YEOWWW PUMPKINS inside, that's what, along with a little package of treats! OMC!!! Our pawsome pals, *MISS ZOEY* and *MASTER ZACK* sent them to us!!!
Holy catnip! We love YEOWWW toys. These beautiful, fragrant pumpkins are purrfect for both Thanksgiving and Halloween. Oh my yes!!! And the box they came in? I LOVE it! It's mine. ALL MINE!
Thanks soooo much, Zoey and Zack!
Later kitties! Gotta go post some pics. EEEEEeeeee!!!

Oh my oh my oh my. I'm a DDP today! Thanks HQ!! Such a nice way to cap off Pirate Month on Catster. Oh my yes.
*EVIL Boogers* and *that Show Girl* must be sooo jealous. They haven't been DDPs in ages. Well, maybe since a day or three, but that seems like ages, don't you agree kitties?
It's been a lovely weekend. Sunny and warm. Mmmmmm, perfect napping weather. It was dark and cool and rainy all Friday long so this beautiful sunshine is very welcomed. Another good thing is, because of the rain and because it's the weekend, there hasn't been any construction noise next door. Three whole days of peace and quiet! Oh my, building a house is such a noisy affair. They're taking forever to add the brick and stonework. Once they get that done there's just the interior work to finish so things should eventually get quieter. Paws crossed.
THANK YOU to:
Boogers, for the watermelon slice
Buddy & the gang, for the congratulatory pmail
Ashlynne, for the baseball. OUCH!
Zoey & Zack, for the heart
Big Harry, for the Olde Furt Group DDP pic
Bliss ILM, Minuette & Penelope, for the trophy
Oh-So-Handsome Beepers, for the pink ribbon. *SWOON*
Murray & family, for the crown. Arrrrgh!

Oh my oh my oh my. It's my favourite day within my favourite month. It's Talk Like a Pirate Day! EEEEEEeeee!!!!
Thanks HQ for the freebie in the Gift Shop. Those Jolly Rogers do come in handy. Arrrrgh!
I also would like to say concats to *Cap'n BoogPot* for his DDP honour today. Well done, EVIL ONE!
It's been an excellent month of piratin'. I've foiled the wicked
*Cap'n Chubbers* at every turn. Of course she never had a chance against such a wily pirate as me. She's been cryin' in her grog all month with frustration. Yo Ho Ho!
Well, time to set sail again. Lots more plunderin' to do. Arrrgh!

Oh my oh my oh my. I want to take a break from plunderin' to wish Big Daddy B a very Happy Birthday! He turns 13 today. A pawsitively marvelous age indeed! I just happen to be 13 myself so I would know.
I still can't believe such a handsome, strong, wonderful mancat like Big Daddy is 50% responsible for bringing *Cap'n Chubbers*, (or whatever name she's trying to hide behind this year) into this world. Let me tell you kitties, the apple fell very, very, very far from the tree in that family. Oh my yes!
Have a wonderful birthday, Big Daddy! May all your birthday wishes come true!

Oh my oh my oh my. I'm a DDP today! Yes, that would be me, Pansy, the Dangerously Divine Pirate! Thanks so much for the honour, HQ. Very pawsome of you to select such a beautiful, brilliant and humble kitty.
Oh my. It's the Labour Day holiday here so this little pirate got her special breakfast treat of Wellness Chicken and Herring. Good thing mother remembered. I won't have to harm her now. Mwahaahaa!!!
Ooooo, it's chilly and cloudy here today. Not very nice at all but the perfect day for napping. Oh my yes!
Before I nod off I'd like to say THANK YOU to:
Buddy & the gang for the DDP congratulatory pmail
Big Harry from the Olde Furts Group for the pawsome DDP pic
The rascally pirates, Zoey and Zack, for the beautiful heart

Get yer pirate on, kitties!
I'm gonna get my trusty ship out of dry dock and set sail to do battle with all the rascally pirates out there. Did you hear that, EVIL *Cap'n Boogers*? Are you ready to cross swords you scoundrel, *Cap'n Chubbers*?
Yo Ho Ho!!!

Oh my oh my oh my. It is hot here! Tomorrow it's supposed to be the hottest ever: 50C/122F!!! It's so hot that even I don't want to sit in the window these past few days.
There hasn't been any rain in ages so everything is crispy outside. There aren't many squirrels frolicking about in the heat so I guess I'm not really missing anything. Mother says me and the boys should be grateful that we have A/C, otherwise we'd all be crispy too. Oh my!
Mother got another surprise when she came home today. Mr. Bobcat had his construction foreman leave a ginormous Guzmania plant on our porch for her. An apology/peace offering? I did have my dear friend, Princess, pay him a visit last night.

Oh my oh my oh my. Mother was as mad as a hornet yesterday. I was afraid she was gonna forget to give us dinner. *GASP*
When she came home yesterday she found that the guy who's building the house next door had pulled down our fence, the part that closed off the backyard between our house and the property line fence. He also had ripped up our Virginia Creepers, crushed all our Lily of the Valley and hacked off a large limb from our crab apple tree. There wasn't enough room on his property for him to get his bobcat through so he just decided to plow through our backyard to get to the back of his property.
Mother had words with the man. Told him about respecting other people's property and asking permission before doing things. That his wants and needs are no more and no less important than other people's. And the coup de grace? What would he do if someone did that to his mother? This morning he dropped off a letter itemizing the damage and promising to make all repairs. We shall see. There is documentation and lots of pics for court if need be. Mwahaahaa!!!
No sooner had mother settled things with Mr. Bobcat then the phone rang. Some guy claiming to be from "Windows Services". He told mother that she had visited some website that had put a bad virus on her computer. Told her she should log on right away and he'd walk her through the steps to remove it. Right!
Mother told the guy: "Let's see. The only way you would know it was my computer would be from the IP addy. The only way to relate the IP to me would be through my ISP. The only legal way the ISP would give out my info would be via a court order. So Microsoft went through all the trouble to get a warrant so they could tell me that I have a virus? I think not. GET LOST YOU SCAMMER!" And she slammed down the phone.
And then mother got us dinner.
