OMC, I'm a DDP! *flaps wings excitedly*
Mom was very surprised when she checked her email this morning and read that I'm one of today's diary picks. Mom can no longer pick me up and kiss and congratulate me like she did when I was on earth but she whispered the news to me in her heart. When I heard mommy, I came immediately to thank the Diary Lady for choosing me and to thank my friends for their congratulations, with a special thanks to Alfie for the picture memento!
Toonces is happy here at the Bridge but he misses his family very much. They miss him as much as he misses them. They're having a very tough time. His sister Ashley is grieving hard. Please keep Toonces' family in your purrs and purrayers!
Love & hugs,
Miss Mittens

My sweetheart Toonces made his journey yesterday. My beautiful big eyed Angel boycat is now with me at the Rainbow, where we will never have to say goodbye or part again.
I taught Tooncie how to use his wings and he flies free. One of the first things we did was check on his parents. They are hurting and crying and sister Ashley is upset and crying too. We sprinkled angel healing dust on his mommy and daddy and Ashley and Snooki and are purring and purraying they find peaceful hearts and comfort in knowing Toonces suffers no more.
Love,
Miss Mittens ~ a soft and gentle summer breeze ~
We send much love and lots of hugs to Toonces' parents on their sad loss along with our purrs and purrayers.
Godspeed and rest in peace, Toonces. We love you and always will!
Love & hugs,
Kaci & mommy Teri

We just received sad news. Toonces, my sweetheart, my beloved soulmate and dearest friend, needs your purrs. My beloved wrote to me this morning and gave me the shocking news that he may be joining me soon. Mommy and I are in shock and our hearts are hurting. Mommy is crying so hard and can’t stop. My family and I are purring for a miracle for my Tooncie.
Toonces wrote in his diary about what is happening. It all happened so suddenly! His mommy and daddy are in shock and frightened and need your purrs and purrayers too.
Calling all angels to form a Circle of Love around Toonces and calling all earth kitties to join in a purr chain!
Please purr for my Toonces and for his family!
Tooncie, your Mittsy is right by your side and will not leave you or let up on the purring. If a miracle is not to be, I'll be there to greet you and guide you on you way. Please don't be afraid! I'll be with you and you will meet your old friends -- Dude Kitty, Wally, Sir Alfie, Buddie, Rufus, Calvin, Arnold P. and many, many more -- who will be there at your side too.
*Sprinkling angel healing dust on her beloved and purring her heart out* xoxoxo your Mittsy

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms everywhere!
Happy Mother’s Day to my mommy and grandma! This is my first Mother’s Day at the Bridge. I miss my mommy and wish we were together today.
I keep watch over my family and today is a busy day.
I’m purring lots and lots of angel purrs and pouring angel healing dust on my grandma’s great-grandson who is in the hospital with spinal meningitis and very sick.
Purring for my sister Kaci too. She has good days and not-so-good days. So far, today is a not-so-good day. She didn’t eat this morning and is now curled up and sleeping in our cat tree cave. Mommy gave her Pepcid AC and hope it kicks in soon. And even purring for my mommy, who is sick today.
Love & hugs and Happy Mother's Day wishes from the Bridge,
Miss Mittens

Dear Friends,
A gentle reminder: Please remember Catster’s Community Guidelines when leaving comments in others’ diaries. Catster is supposed to be a family friendly site. Some members are more sensitive than others and easily offended and some members are very young. I've had friends on Catster who were in elementary school and not even in their teens yet.
I’m not trying to upset or offend anyone with my reminder or sound too prim and proper (which I am although I do try to be flexible) and the reminder applies to me too. Catster can be just as much fun when we all remember the guidelines.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Catster Community Guidelines, you can read them here:
Catster Community Guidelines.
Here’s a quote from the guidelines:
*Because people of all ages love animals, Catster is a family-friendly site. All content on Catster --text, images and video, including the content on the pages of posted external links--must be appropriate for all ages.
Content that contains profanity; is sexually explicit; depicts the torture and abuse of animals; or contains graphic, descriptive and lengthy portrayals of serious violence against animals; blood, injury, and/or death are not allowed on Catster.
Profanity should never be bowdlerized by replacing letters in the word with dashes, asterisks, or other symbols. Profane acronyms are not allowed on Catster.*
*No profane or obscene content, names or nicknames can be used on your page no matter how cute or apropos the name might be. Dogs and cats don't like having their mouths washed out with soap!*
Love & hugs to all!

Many friends have asked me to write about what happened yesterday on Rainbow Bridge Day that made it so extra special for mommy. Other than dreams, mommy has never personally experienced first hand receiving messages or seeing or hearing things from loved ones who have crossed over. This is the first time and it means a lot to her.
I sent mommy a Rainbow!
Whenever possible, mommy loves to watch the sunset. Sunsets are so beautiful! After dinner last night, mommy looked at the sun setting and guess what? She saw a Rainbow! She saw the Rainbow I sent her! She was stunned and couldn’t figure out why there was a Rainbow in the sky when there shouldn’t have been one. Was it real? She isn’t certain but does know she DID see a Rainbow! She immediately thought of me and knew I had sent it. She was thrilled and thanked me for sending it!
An hour later, mommy was sitting at the computer in her bedroom answering her email. Kaci was in the room too but sound asleep in her bed on the other side of the room. It was the perfect time to greet mommy and let her know I was there with her. I always was a chatty cat with a loud mouth and known for coming into a room and announcing myself suddenly with big, loud meows, so I decided I’d greet mommy in my typical Miss Mittens’ style. That way she’d have no doubt it was me!
As mommy was typing, she suddenly heard a loud MEOW right next to her on her left side. That’s where the door and entrance to the room is. The meow was so loud and clear it made mommy jump up and look around. It scared the dickens out of her! (Sorry about that mommy!) The house was quiet, the windows were all closed, neither the television nor the radio was on and no sound was coming out of the speakers on her computer. She quickly checked around the room and walked over to look at Kaci. Kaci was sleeping (but did wake up and open her eyes when mommy looked at her and whispered her name). She immediately recognized that meow and knew who it was. Mommy knew it wasn’t Kaci who meowed ‘cause it didn’t sound like her. Besides which, Kaci was on the other side of the room and the sound would have come from the right and mommy would have heard it in her right ear, not right beside her in her left ear.
The other thing that happened was a matter of synchronicity. Yesterday, mommy received a sympathy card from my cardiologist. She wrote a personal note in the card and enclosed the lovely story of Rainbow Bridge. You see, I was supposed to see the cardiologist and have a follow up echocardiogram. Mommy had to call their office and explain why I couldn’t make the appointment. She started crying and could barely talk. Perhaps the nice woman who answered the phone thought I had recently come to the Bridge and that’s why the doc sent the card. No matter, the arrival of the card and Rainbow Bridge Story on Rainbow Bridge Day was perfect timing!
Today is mommy's birthday.
Happy Birthday mommy!
Love & hugs,
Miss Mittens

Tomorrow is Rainbow Bridge Day, a very special day in honor of furbabies who have journeyed to the Bridge. The tradition started over 20 years ago. Every year on April 1, a furbaby’s parent(s) write a letter or note to their furbaby and put it inside a helium balloon and release the balloon into the heavens where it flies straight to Rainbow Bridge.
If you can’t send your angel(s) a balloon, please honor them in whatever way is meaningful to you. Mommy will remember all of her angels tomorrow in her own special way.
Love,
Miss Mittens

Can you help? Can you give this beautiful girl a home? Or do you know someone who might be able to help find her a home?
SHELLY SUE is a beautiful kitty who lives in Franklin, Indiana. She needs a new home immediately. Shelly Sue has asthma and literally cannot breathe in the home where she’s now living. Her parents have no money and can’t afford the expensive treatments, medications and vet care she needs. The circumstances in her home won’t change and her life literally depends on finding a new home fast! Her mommy loves Shelly Sue so much that, even though it will break her heart to do so, she’s willing to give her up to save her life.
Please visit SHELLY SUE’s page and read her diary for more information.
Also, Shelly Sue's friends have started a Purr Circle and are asking everyone to join in with them.
Thank you TT for writing about Shelly Sue in your diary and telling us about her sad situation.
Purrs!

The Tigger’s Arcade group is so much fun! Throughout the year, the group has Tournaments. There are Tournaments for all kinds of sports like baseball, football, hockey, golf, fishing (hear that Dude Kitty?!), a very interesting event called Hairball Bowling and other fun games. And Trophies for the winners!
Three Tournament winners have journeyed to the Bridge since winning Tournament Trophies: the pretty MISS KITTY, who won the Mini-Golf Classic Trophy; adorable JAVA, who won the Hairball Bowling Trophy; and me. I won a Trophy for Most Home Runs at beginner’s level Cat Baseball.
Tigger, the Commissioner of Tigger’s Arcade, has created the Tigger’s Arcade Hall of Fame to honor the memories of Trophy winners who are now at the Bridge. He nominated me, Miss Kitty and Java as it’s first 3 members. My mommy was very touched by this gesture and had tears pouring out of her eyes.
I'm very honored and thrilled to be nominated and included in the Hall of Fame with such wonderfur and special kitties as Miss Kitty and Java! Thank you Tigger and Aracade friends!
Hugs,
Miss Mittens ~ Gentle Angel, soft as a summer breeze
