More people!

My step-brother Sarge has been getting Daddy up early for food. I don't know why he's so hungry. He can stand to loose a few pounds. But this is my diary and not his. Two groups of Daddy's friends came over twice this week. I knew most of them. I got to go outside on Wednesday, but I hid because these were the people I didn't know well and I like to hide in the bushes. So I got to go back inside. After that I kept to myself except for playing with some of the new people. They left a new toy for me! It's a pole with feathers on the end of a line. When Daddy swings the pole the feathers spin! I love to watch it.

Daddy showed pictures of Sarge and I to the people who fostered us. They said we look very happy. Pets are honest. We don't pretend to be happy. When we're happy you know about it just like when we're upset. Daddy knows I'm happy living here. I sleep on him at night sometimes and those times I'm not on him, I'm on the bed. We're one happy family!

Update

It's been an interesting few weeks for me. Daddy got a grill which is nice because when he grills I can go out a little. Sarge abuses the privilege and I think he's going to loose it. I ate some grass and hid in some bushes. Daddy doesn't like that the hiding bit. Best part about the grill was the packaging. I got a playset out of it! Grills are round and the box is square so I got something like a skateboard ramp with finger holes that look like mouse holes! It's my favorite spot apart from sleeping on Daddy!

Daddy went away this weekend. The neighbors with their dog came over and played with me. I don't like their dog but I liked the attention. When Daddy came home I was mad at first, but soon forgave him and slept on his back when he took a rest.

Bad trip to the Petsmart

Yesterday after Daddy took Sarge to the vet. He took both of us to the Petsmart where he adopted us from. I thought we'd never have to go back again. Is Daddy going to return me like my original people? I saw the people who run the kitty adoption agency. They were happy to see me. Then Daddy took me to the vet in the store and Sarge and me got injected with ID chips. So if we ever got outside, we can go home again faster. It was good to be home. I spent a lot of time on Daddy this morning in his bed. It was nice to confirm I'm staying here.

Today my diary was chosen by Catster Daily Diary Pick! I got 40 treats . I feel so special. I'm still trailing Sarge in views unfortunately. I also got an invite from the grey tabby group called "Hey! You Look Like Me!!". I thought I was a brown tabby. Well I do sort of look like the cat who invited me. Except I am prettier.

I've been very active lately. I want to play a lot. But Sarge gets tired quickly of wrestling and I run faster than Daddy so playing chase with him isn't much fun. I'll play with them more later.

Stupid Sarge, Stupid Cyst

Because Sarge got a cyst I had to go to the vet last week. I was scared. Normally I like to stay on the floor and I complain when I get picked up. But at this vet I found a nice hiding spot on a counter and hardly said anything when I was picked up and poked all over. I'm in good shape at least. Daddy brought his fluffy bath towel to wrap up Sarge in when he gets too rowdy. He didn't need to be wrapped up so Daddy put it on the examination table for me to sit on. It made things much easier. I decided I don't like car rides. It was a short trip but I hated it. I was so happy to be home again. On the plus side I am actually starting to jump up on furniture to be with Daddy instead of demanding he come down to the floor to play with me.

Daddy's Home

Hooray! Daddy came back today. He gave me a few toys and started cleaning. I got a hug, but I hated it. I'm just glad he's home.

I hate Christmas

Some of my kitty friends won't like that, but I do. Daddy's been gone a long time because of Christmas. The nice people looking in on us say Daddy will be back tomorrow. I hope so. It's been me and Sarge for a few days now. I hope Daddy brings me something. I remember Daddy talking his human family lives a long way away. I only rode in the car with him once when he first brought me home. I didn't like it. Maybe it's better to stay here instead of riding in the car all that time. But I can't wait to see him. Please Daddy, hurry home.

Where's Daddy?

Friday Daddy got home from work early and put a whole bunch of things in his car. He put out extra food and water then played with me and Sarge. Then he left. The nice people who came over last time Daddy was gone came over again. But they didn't stay. I miss Daddy. Sarge says humans do that sometimes and said Daddy will come home soon. Sarge is being brave, but he misses Daddy too. He said that after the snow comes human families gather for a few days. There is something called 'Thanksgiving' and something afterwards called 'Christmas'. Since he already went to 'Thanksgiving' Daddy must have gone with his human family for 'Christmas'. They smelled like they have three other cats. Maybe we can go with him some day.
