Happy birthdayyyyy To Youuuuuuuuuuuuu....

Yeah yeah yeah I know that I shouldn't be up this late....so sue me. :p

I just wanted to give a big shout out for a very happy birthday to Boo and PeeWee!!!!!!!!!! (even tho Boo hates me with a passion). They are 14 today!!!! Dutch turned 10 months old yesterday....he doesn't care. All he wants to do is play CONSTANTLY.

In other news: I have been feeling TONS better for the last few days. I've been quite naughty like I usually am. ( gee...how was I supposed to know that pulling all of the kleenex out of it's box would get cute lil ol me into trouble??!! )hahahahahahhahahahahahaha

Mom has finished a very long 10 days of I.V. therapy. She's feeling somewhat better,but isn't anywhere close to normal. I guess Dr. Pat changed some very important medicines and Mom has to go see a specialist AGAIN next month. (Personally...I think that Mom should just go back to the Mayo Clinic again and let those fine folks work their magic.)

Uh-oh! I just got caught messing with the 'puter....

Oh snap....

So I see that Ethan pulled a funny. Color me unamused. However,it was her birthday the other day so I shall not really complain too much. About that eye thing tho...in MY defense Ethan punched me in the head first. Ya see...Ethan does not share Mom's lap with ANYBODY and if any of us dare to try she will smack ya senseless. She smacked me and I smacked back and hitting her in the eye was a complete accident I SWEAR.

In other news...Boo and Wee turn 14 on the 30th. They're both getting rather touchy,but I guess that happens as we age. I'm almost 4 and trust me,I have my cranky days too.

I'm not feeling well these days. I have COPD. I did really well all winter. Hardly needed any meds at all and I was a pretty normal,happy,frisky guy. And then Spring arrived. I love Spring!...but along with Spring comes open windows for fresh air and all of that wonderful basking in the sun and just hanging out watching birds and stuff...ALL very good things...but also with allergens. The fruit trees are all starting to bloom and oh boy the misery. Mom and I are both sick. I'm sneezing,coughing,and it's hard to breathe so I am back on all of my meds. again. Mom just went out to the clinic this morning and got everything refilled for me so we're going thru that whole routine again. I'm a lil better,but we just started the stuff so it'll take a few days to really get on top of it again.

Mom,however,now has to go to the DR. every day this week to have IV medicine. You should see what they did to her! OMG both of her arms have bruises all over them from the nurses trying to get the IV in and she has the actual IV thingy on top of her left hand...it's all wrapped up and stuff,but it concerns me because it just doesn't smell right. Even Dutch has issues with it.

Oh and then there's Dutch's "issues." He IS a pest...but...don't tell him this...I love that goofy pooch. He had to go to the vet. on Saturday to have his heartworm test done and it stressed him out BIG TIME. Normally he doesn't have a problem with that place,but I guess there were LOTS of other dogs there and they were all barking and whatnot and Dutch was all scared. He came home and just stuck to Mom like glue and he slept most of the day. I genuinely felt bad for the guy. Even tho Dutch torments me( and I torment him) I really believe that he would give his life for any of us. You should see how protective he is when strangers come around. He just instictively knows who the bad guys are and he doesn't let them out of his sight for a second...and if someone strange gets too close to Mom or one of us cats,Dutch steps in between us and allows no contact without permission from Mom. Oh boy you should hear his big mean serious watch dog voice! I know that he's only 9 months old,but he's a big guy with an even bigger voice.

Well...ok....I'm just sorta rambling....
So I think that since Mom's lap is empty right now, I'm gonna get in some loves and snuggle time. I'm tired.

Hello friends! Today's diary entry is being provided by me,Ethan...and NOT Jack. Why? Because today is MY15th birthday and Mom and I thought that it would be funny if I got my revenge on Jack by invading his "sacred" diary.

Anybody that has ever read Jack's diary has some idea of what a lil brat he is. Last week he poked me in the eye and made it really red,sore,and I had some pretty nasty green goop coming out of it. So Mom got me some medicine for it. The drops work really well,but I absolutely despise taking medicine.

Right now Jack is laying in the window sunning himself and he's pretty oblivious to everything going on around him. Besides...he's pouting. He got into trouble earlier for tormenting Dutch. So while Jack was sitting on Mom's lap,she called Dutch over and told him to give the little Jack kitty some kisses. Dutch gave him this big old sloppy lick right across the top of Jack's head. Jack now has this hilarious spikey hair-do held together by dog spit. I'll be laughing at him all day!

Oooooh and when he logs into his diary again and sees this he won't be a happy camper and I'll get to laugh at him even more. hehhehehehehehehe Ahhhh Jack Jack Jack..you're almost 4 yrs old,but I have the wisdom of my 15 yrs working for me. You still have a lot to learn lil man. ^.^

Ok dog...it's ON!

Uggggggg. Dutch and I have "issues." He is no longer my friend.

He refuses to share his treats and rawhides with me like Honey used to...AND he barks at me!! Can you imagine???? Sooooooooo I am now on a mission to annoy him.

He left his rawhide laying in the middle of the bed...so I flung it and it is now between the bed and the wall. He can't get it out. :)

Moral of the story: DO NOT mess with THE Jack.

Ok so I haven't been posting hardly at all. Yes,I whacked out the 'puter again. Oops my bad.

Anyway...Dutch is no longer my best friend. He has become very annoying. He is now BEST FRIENDS with Abby. So for that he gets a Jack-slap upside his goofy puppy head.

Ummm...so what's new?? Well...Cole just had a birthday on Feb. 27th. She's 17 now....and she despises me just as much as she always has. Dutch is 8 months old now and coming up in April Ethan,Boo,and Wee all have birthdays. Ethan will be 15 and Boo & Wee will be 14. YIKES everybody is getting old around here.

I have been up to my usual naughtiness...cuz I'm JACK and that's how I roll.

Spring is almost here!! It's a whopping 41 degees outside....windows are open and we're loving all of that nice fresh Spring air.

We are all eating a new food now. For some unknown reason the food that we have always eaten(very popular brand that starts with the letter "P") was making us ALL sick. Soooooo our human found some really great stuff that is totally grain free and has lotsa meat,fruit,veggies,probiotics.and vitamins in it. We eat less cuz this new stuff is vastly more satisfying and we're not feeling ill. Even Dutch had problems with his puppy version of that food from "P." So he is on the puppy version of what us cats now eat. It got rid of his allergies and his tummy ache too. So all in all we're more active,feeling better,and doing pretty darn well. A good thing really since we don't have to spend more time at the vet. I have a HUGE issue with where they put the thermometer. ^.^ (ATTN VETERINARIANS: That is an EXIT ONLY and NOT an entrance for anything so don't act all surprised if somebody bites you. Seriously....can you NOT come up with a better way to take a temp.?????)

Ok...I really gotta go. Dutch is sleeping right now so I MUST grab his new rawhide and stash it someplace just so that I can laugh at him when he can't find it.

I'm THE Jack...and I'm a brat....deal with it. :)

Well.....

I have news my friends. We have a new puppy.

Our much beloved Honey crossed The Rainbow Bridge on 6-17-09 due to cancer at the age of 14. We all miss her sooooooooo much. Many really emotionally difficult things have happened since then....

Since Honey passed we got a call from the local shelter about a lil red pitbull that they thought would be a perfect match for our household...and he was. He was about 7 weeks old and we had him home for less than 24 hours before he became very ill due to a reaction to a vaccine....we named him Buddy. He was such an intelligent lil fella and was so sweet. Unfortunately,Buddy crossed the Rainbow Bridge 6 days after we adopted him. So very sad. He is greatly missed.

Then...we adopted another pup from the Humane Society in a different town on Dec. 1st. His name is Dutch and he is not quite 6 months old. Dutch is a German Shepard/Lab. mix and he is now my very best friend. He's pretty darn great!

So be on the lookout for a tribute page for Buddy and a page for Dutch. You'll all love them just as much as we do.

Hellooooooooooooooo everyone!!! Boy I sure have missed blogging. I've been sick so I've been away.

A HUGE thank you to my wonderful human for taking such great care of me and a big ol thanks to my doctors for my care. I feel sooooooo much better now.

Ok...let's update: Today ( 10-25-09 ) is Lily's birthday!!! She's 2 yrs old today!! WOOOT!!!! Soooo...on birthdays we all celebrate with Whisker Lickins treats and OMG Lily hates those!!! Can you imagine???!!! being the angelic guy that I am...I helped her with her treats and I ate them all on her behalf. HA!
In further birthday news: Tomorrow ( 10-26-09 ) we get to celebrate Toby's birthday!!!! He turns 16 yrs old tomorrow. ( DOUBLE WOOT WOOT!!!!) However....I am very concerned about my buddy Toby. He hasn't been feeling well either but, sadly,there isn't much that can be done for him. His renal issues are catching up with him and I'm so afraid that his days are growing very short.

Ohh mannnnnnnnnnn you guys 2009 has been such a tough year. On 3-17-09 we lost sweet Ashley to cancer at the age of 17 yrs. Then on 6-17-09 we lost our awesome canine friend Honey to cancer at the age of 14.....And then on 8-7-09 we lost our silly Slick to a massive stroke just 2 months before her 11th birthday....it's all so sad and just plain old NOT FAIR!!!!!!

In other news: Since the weather has changed and is getting colder,there have been tonsssssss of birds AND squirrels all over the place in the yard and it makes for exciting entertainment. Unfortunately we're not allowed to go outside and chase any of them darn it!! And,of course,since we've been having freezing temps. outside at night,all of our beautifulllllllll catnip plants froze.... :( Oh gee whiz. I'm about to tell you all something,but it's top secret....Toby isn't the only one having a birthday tomorrow...our human is ALSO having a birthday tomorrow. I don't dare tell ya'll what number of birthday it is cuz I'd be in more trouble than usual. hahahahahahaha

Well gang....rumor has it that there are even more birds out in the yard right now and I reallyyyyyyyy need to go sit in the window and watch them. It's my job. :p

Ummmmmm

Ummm...ok....so I had my birthday on May 31 st. We had treats and fresh picked catnip. It was nice.

I know that I was all excited about the whole birthday thing....but I just KNEW that things weren't going to stay happy around here. I could see it coming and now that it has happened...I'm devastated. Yesterday 6/17/09 at 4:25 PM....our sweet Honey dog passed away from cancer at the age of 13 yrs 10 months 17 days.

I guess that's all that I have to say right now...I'm feeling very very sad and lost. I just don't understand why all of my friends are being taken away....


I'm just Jack and I'm completely heartbroken.

Woohoo!!! I'm back on the 'puter! I got grounded for quite awhile. I sat on the keyboard and made the PC do very weird things. Next thing I hear...."Oh way to go moose-butt. Now look what ya did."
What??? Oh no you soooo did NOT just call me moose-butt! C'mon!! I'm a big guy,but I'm not hardly a moose butt. Have ya taken a look at Ernie lately? The guy is HUGE! Sure he's got some fat on him,but basically he's twice my size. Maybe even 3 times my size. He's really tall and muscular and probably the biggest cat that I have ever seen that isn't a lion or a tiger....AND look at Ben and Pete! Ben is bigger than I am and Pete is twice Ben's size. Pete may have been the runt of the litter,but he's massive!! So calling ME moose-butt isn't hardly fair now is it? *SHEESH*

And now for the news:

SAD NEWS: Our deeply loved sweet lil Ashley Mae passed away on March 17th at the age of 17 yrs 1 month 4 days. I miss her terribly. (hang on while I cry some...and I will continue writing.....)
ALSO...Honey is fading....oh man I love that dog and I'm so sad....

GOOD NEWS: Today, 5-17-09, is Misky's birthday!!! *does wild crazy happy birthday dance* AND...in exactly 2 weeks is my birthday!!!! (May 31st folks....write it on your calendars!)WOOT WOOT WOOT!!! I'll be 3. Just why it is that no one has declared my birthday as a national holiday is something that I will NEVER understand.

Hmmm let's see....what else is new?......

OMG OMG OMG!!!!! Just glanced out the window and there are birds and rabbits outside on the lawn!!!!!! I gotta go!!! I gotta stare at them and drool.
