I often like to sleep with the humans at night, and when I do, I usually take up more than half the bed. This means that mom and dad have to squeeze into the remaining space as best they can, to avoid disturbing me. It may not seem fair for me to take up so much space, but just think—I may have the smallest body, but I have the largest and most distinguished presence! So of course I need the most space.

That said, I am truly sorry that dad, having tried to squeeze himself as small as possible to make sure I had plenty of room, fell off the bed the other night. He tumbled right out onto the floor! Meow, well, at least he didn’t get hurt, because he fell on all fours, instead of falling on his head the way most humans would. (Perhaps my campaign to get them to always “think kitty” is working?) Sorry, dad!

i threw the person who now cares for ishtar half out of the bed several times... the stupid thing was too possessive - considered the pillow to be "hers". PAH!!!

i think it's a good thing you trained your dad in time!

My dad doesn't like to be touched at night by anyone and Petey and I both sleep on the bed. We drove him out and now he has his own room. Okay, other reasons too but I like to think its mainly because of us. Now, we have mom to ourselves.
