We somehow inherited an Ugly Kitty! AKA, Ethan, the... D-O-G!!!

Nahhhhhhhh he's not so bad, he's actually a GOOD dog and is a momma's boy like me!

He wrote a good diary (for a dog) about how he joined our family so you should go and read it. DO IT or I'll sick MY dog on you!!!!!!! :D

Chub Chub

Oh my cats! How cute is today's COTD?! I personally like his name too :) "Chub Chub". That's what Mittens is often called, especially when he trots/"semi-runs" around the house. He has this... Bounce to his step I suppose.

And mom and dad chant, "Chub Chub". How come I get called fat cat and not Chub Chub? :(

Mom's been cleaning and just finished spot-botting cat barfies. You know what this means... In the next 24 hours, SOMEONE will re-barfie on the carpet. Usually Tiskers due to the meds which can sometimes upset his belly but it's also often Fido fighting a hairball or me 'cause I ate too fast.

We shall see who barfies first!

Asking for purrrrs

So in a few days my lil' brother, Tiskers, will be getting another checkup at the Cardiologist. My family and I would appreciate if you could send some purrrs and keep him in your thoughts. His appointment is at 2pm!

Mom hates going here. The drive is an hour each way and you know how us cats hate rides! He does better on the way home. Plus mom will be an emotional wreck the day of and her eyes always leak...

Again, he'll be getting an Echiocardiogram and Ultra sound where his fur will get gooey. Mom is always afraid of a bad outcome and as far as she can tell, his breathing seems the same. Mayyyyyyyyybe a bit faster but not heart failure or anything.

His Cardiologist graduated from VA Tech and mom and dad found Tiskers a VA Tech t-shirt that he'll wear at his exam for his picture MOL! Actually, we're all, "Hookies" for Halloween this year.

But seriously, please purrr for him and keep him in your thoughts.

Wow! I'm a DDP again!!! I swear I'm not bribing the diary lady with catnip!

Speaking of... Mom just bought us some Petramalt as we just had our last bit just now. Mom saw the other brand, Laxatone, had a CATNIP flavor!! I said, "Mommmmmmm I WANT" but she said the Petramalt was cheaper so we're getting that.

I bet if she had known prior to hitting "buy" on amazon and me being a DDP she would have bought the Catnip stuff. Hmph.

Bunco!

Mom played her first game of Bunco tonight with 11 of neighbors in our area. 6 were on our street and the other 5 are in our development somewhere.

Mom had fun but didn't win. She did get Bunco once and got to have the fuzzy dice near her until someone else got Bunco.

I don't know why mom didn't bring me to the clubhouse to play. Surely I'm good luck! At the very least, I could have swam in the pool as mom knows how I love water! :(

The weather is cooling off finally and mom might have to break out her winter clothes! She's clearly becoming a baby.

In a month mom and dad leave us for FL. Hmph. What will I do while I wait home and rot? Don't see why she didn't invite us!

DDP!!

Arrrrrrrrrr I be a DDP today!!! Now that many have read my selected diary, I hope the scoundrels walk the plank for doing fraud on many of the residents in our community!

The word is, the movie theater is to blame and so far they're "cooperating" (not that they had an option). It makes sense and mom is so mad for tipping the person who "in return" stole mom's cc number and sold the card number.

My pirate matey's will be coming after them and they WILL walk the plank!!!

I mean, what IF we were out of food? I could have lost an ounce or two if mom couldn't buy food for us! Yeah I know, I could USE to loose a few ounces...

Like Colleen said, NO CAT would do such a thing!

Fraud :(

So mom and a few of our neighbors fell victim to fraud! I immediately INSISTED it was Pansy and her evil Pirate doing, but mom assured me this wasn't the case.

2 days ago mom woke up at 2pm and first thing she does is check the time on her cell. She saw she had a voicemail and a text from a credit card company asking if $195.06 was a legit charge, call us, etc.

So mom did and when she was on the phone w/ the lady, she was viewing her account online. Sure enough mom freaked and said, "NO!! those aren't possible!". One was from the redbox DVD which we've never used, another walgreens, and the other from a grocery store. The charges were out in CA. The person had an actual card and mom knows her cards aren't lost.

So mom posted on FB. Shortly later, our neighbor across the way had the same issue. And 2 doors down, another neighbor!

We've all brain stormed and word is, the "Alamo" (movie theater) is being investigated. Which makes sense as they bring you your food, and you pay about 30 minutes at the end of the movie. Mom never carries cash and hands them their cc. Never had issues!

Mom got a new card the next day and spent 2 hours updating her info w/ bills, etc., What a pain!

I wonder if Pirate Pansy knows the bad bad bad person...

Rain Rain!

We're getting MUCH needed rain finally! Now it would have been better if we had rain once a week and not once a month (if we're lucky) type of weather!

The rain always misses us :(

Mom and dad over seeded our lawn and fixed up a few dead spots. Me and Hondo just observed said activity from our storm door. I hate when Hondo gets his fur in a fluff and tries to HOG the storm door. It's COMMUNITY!

Not much is new. I'm a bit stuffy and mom is hoping it's just the weather change, so I've been getting daily sauna treatments (aka locked in the bathroom while mom showers). It helps!

Hurricane is gone!

Phew, I believe it's over for the US but now it's going into Canada!

We're all ok and thanks for the pawmails of concern! We got some MUCH needed rain, and there aren't really any trees to cause damage as we live in a new development.

As far as I know, my friends are ok!

We got about 2 inches of rain, lots of wind and no damage. Where we used to live got a TON of rain but thankfully no flooding for the most part in No. VA or Alexandria, VA where it was expected to have flooding!

First an earthquake and now a hurricane!! Hope my friends are doing well and thank you to the cat(s) who filled up my treat jar! It's tough to squirrel away treats in my family :)

Tiskers, Mittens and their litter mate Biscotti turn 4 today!! Oh my, that means cake and goodies no?

What? What'dya mean they're not for me?!?!

As you all know, Tiskers was diagnosed at 1 1/2 with HCM, Cardiomyopathy and wasn't expected to see his 3rd bday let alone his 4th. Mom is overly happy and cherishes each day!

I have to admit, when he's NOT sitting on me, Tiskers is a cool dude. Mittens is too but I gotta make sure he isn't the most muscular in the house--although he weighs more than me!
