Three nipheads in the house
Camille rose, Sampy and me
We love the nip and sing with glee
Bail and Landy sniff and walk away
But that's okay is what I say
I love my nip any old day!

This weekend us three nipheads had two catnip pawties! All Mommy had to do was bring out the baggie of that green stuff and we came a runnin'

Samp and Cam got into a little spat after they got buzzed. I heard Cam call Sampy a "buzzkill". She was crouched and growling and hissing at the same time. Of course, Mommy told them to break it up and offered them no more nip. They were "cut off" just like two drunks in a human bar.

Anyway, I hope to get more nip tonight . . . I just can't say no to it . . .

Lastly, my photos were uploaded to FB for their Black Cat Appreciation Day. I got a lot of compliments on how handsome I was! That makes me feel good! Black cats are beautiful and nobody should shun them!

Sorry I've been slacking in the diary writing. It's been so hot and now it's raining. We had a nasty LOUD T-storm (thunderstorm) Thursday night and it cooled it off a tad. Now today, it's way cool and wet. It's only supposed to rise to the upper 70's. I'll take that as that heat wave was wearing out its welcome.

Also, I'm doing okay and making sure I give Mommy lots of licks and headbutts and purrs. Her arthritis is acting up because of this weather and she can't wait until she sees the doctor next week to get back on the meds that'll help her feel better.

Lastly, she's one her way to Auntie Mary's house to see her new granddaughter, Suszannah.

Well, that's it. The rest of us will more than likely write something tomorrow.

Have a purrfect and safe 4th of July, my friends! We're all relaxing after a nice salmon breakfast. Mommy has this day off from work and she and us kitties are glad. We miss her when she's at work!

Also, a lot of fallen trees from Friday's evil T-storm have been removed in our neighborhood. Two roads which Mommy takes to get home where roped off with caution tape so she had to enter her street (which is a one way type) by going the wrong way. Oh well, if the policeman saw her do this, she would have had a good explanation.

Our house has been cleared of the two large red bud tree limbs by our kind neighbor and his friend. Still this debris hasn't been picked up by the Department of Public Works. Mommy says they are removing the larger trees that blocked roads first. Eventually, they'll get to our pile.

No moreT-storms have reared their ugly heads since Friday night's 60-80 mph an hour disaster. Everyone in this area prays this never happens again. This thing was like a 20 minute hurricane.

Well, that's about it. I'm tired.

We had the most nastiest t-storm around 11:30 p.m. Friday night. It started with a few rumbles of thunder and a few flashes of lightning. And then the sky broke loose with torrents of rain and a nasty howling wind that banged at the side of our house. I head a thump and a creaking noise and ran downstairs. My brothers did the same. Mommy then came downstairs and laid on the living room couch waiting for the storm to stop. The rain and wind part didn't last too long but it was powerful enough to do a lot of damage in our area which we found out the next day. It was like a mini hurricane.

When Mommy opened the front door on Saturday morning, there was a giant limb or two from the red bud tree blocking the doorway and porch. Luckily, it didn't come through the door. These pics are on FB for all to see.

Mommy called her neighbor and he and his friend came over with a chainsaw and bow saw to remove these red bud limbs. They did so and also removed another limb which was partially snapped off on the other side of the tree which was more toward the neighbor's yard. Mommy took several videos of them working hard with her Iphone.

When the job was done, they dragged the limbs across the street for the storm debris removal crew.

Lastly, Mommy went to the store. On her way there, she discovered there were many other trees and power lines down. Several college dorms had been hit by trees on College Avenue. They had that street caution taped off. There were many others she saw and had a hard time getting to the store as many traffic lights were also out.

When she finally made it home, there was a recorded message on our home phone from Pepco saying those who lost power may be without same for about a week. Yikes! Are we ever thankful we live on the block that didn't lose power! Sure, we lost a lot of the beautiful red bud tree but that's okay as it didn't crash through our door to cause damage. Ours tree damage was nothing compared to others in our town and the next ones to it.

Anyway, I'll be on my way. I hope everycat didn't have to deal with this nasty storm.

Mommy told me that she saw a cool bumper sticker on the car in front of her when she was on her way to work yesterday. It was like this:

A white circle decorated with black colored cat paw prints around it. In the middle it said: "More purrs and less hisses!"

Isn't that cool! Mommy would like to find one like that.

Anyway, I had a nice brushing again this morning. Yep, I'm still shedding big time!

Lastly, I'm going to enjoy this weekend as it'll be purrfect weather the whole time.

On Thursday, Auntie Mary came over to visit with Mommy and us kitties. Of course, I hid downstairs under the red couch when I heard her open the front door.

Later on, while they were in Mommy's room talking and looking at some funny stuff on their Iphones, I slinked up the stairs and peaked through the railing at them. They called me and of course, I went back downstairs to my hidey-hole.

This was my attempt at being a brave panther boy. Usually, I hide the whole time. Of course, later on Mommy asked me if I'll be more brave next time Auntie Mary comes over. I told her I didn't know yet.

Anyway, today is a quite day and I look forward to Mommy combing me some more. For a thick coated short hair, I shed as much as Bail who has the longest coat in the house. I average three combs full at each session (I think I mentioned this last time).

Have a pawsome Sunday, my Catster friends!

Today, my friend ZACK and I are in the Diary Spotlight. Yep, Panther Boys rule today! Thank you Diary Gal for this honor!

I also thank my pawsome friends for their gifts & concats as follows:

1. ZACK (a fellow Panther Boy) - cool Power of the Paw and comment;
2. BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
3. SMILEY CASSANOVA - pawsome pawmail;
4. MICHEAL - cool comment.

Also, Mommy's first day back to work was nice. There was a vase of flowers, a card and some balloons on her desk and later on in the afternoon they had a welcome back cake. Also, one of the girls in the office celebrated her 18th birthday. So that means two cakes were passed around. Ooops, all that weight will come back, Mommy!!!

Anyway, it was strange when Mommy was gone for eight hours. We have to get used to her being away that long on Monday through Friday again.

Well, I'm going to keep this one short as it's breakfast time! Yeah!!!

The doctor gave Mommy the go ahead to go back to work tomorrow with a prescription for three more weeks (3 x a week) outpatient P.T. She then stopped by her work briefly to get a referral from one of the attorneys for a good place to get the P.T. She then went there, filled out the paperwork, and her first session starts 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. This is very good as she won't miss anymore work. Hopefully, they'll have more early appointments available.

When Mommy came home to us kitties, we saw that she got a new hairdo and coloring for her first day back to work. Believe me, she needed it as she was starting to look like Bail with all that gray!! MOL!!!

Sure, we're going to miss her and at the same time, she needs to go back to work to keep the cash coming in. She doesn't want any of us to starve.

Also, I'm relieved as the traffic in the house may slow down now. I got tired of having to hide just about every day as there were knocks on the door by various people i.e. Auntie Mary, Rick, Ms. Peggy, and Ms. Melanie. I'm just that way. I only trust Mommy and have trusted Auntie Mary one time. I'm not at all like my sister, Kali, who jumps on strangers' laps and gives them purrs and kneads.

Lastly, I extend my concats to Cam for her Diary Pick today. Woo-Hoo!

Well, that's about it. Bedtime fast approaches around here.

Just thought I'd say "hi" and wish everycat a Happy Memorial Day.

It's been very hot this weekend, and Mommy's been combing my fur everyday as I'm really shedding. She gets several comb fulls each time.

Also, Mommy's anxious and wants to return to work and get on with things. Her knee still hurts, but nothing like it did before the surgery. Her thighs and low back hurt instead, she tells us kitties.

Not much going on except, this morning Cam wasn't in her corner (she was in another part of the bathroom)when I came in and sniffed around and then left. I don't think she ever saw me as I heard no growls nor hisses from her.

Well, that's it from me. Nothing else to report.

My wish came true! Mommy is back and I can't let her out of my sight for too long. I am one of the nurses who visit and stay with her most of the day and night. I also want to sit on her fixed knee to keep it warm, but she keeps shooing me off as she doesn't want my 17 lbs squashing it.

I still hide when Auntie Mary and Rick next door stop by to bring food or visit or to take out trash. All in all, I'm still a shy guy and don't trust anyone but Mommy.

The physical therapist, Melanie, stopped by twice this week, and I hid then. As soon as she left, I came out. Bail, Sampy and Landy watched Mommy as Melanie instructed her what exercises to do (conveyed by Mommy).

Also, the range of motion for Mommy's knee is 96 laying down and 97-98 sitting down. It's almost up to 100%! On Friday, she has another session wherein she and Melanie will take a walk outside. Mommy's looking forward to that.

Well, it's bedtime now. Goodnight everycat,

Purrs & Breeps,
