BAD KITTY LIST

May 24th 2006 6:50 pm

I was a bad kitty today and this is what I did:

1. Swung from dining room curtain. Weeeee, I'm Tarzan!

2. Climbed up the table cloth on the dining room table, swung from it
and almost had everything on top of that table come tumbling down to
the floor along with me. For act of destruction, Mommy says she's
going to remove the table cloth and use placemats instead.

3. Got my claws caught in the bathroom window screen. Oh, oh, I got a
nail trim for this one.

4. I kept trying to sneak out the back or front doors whenever
Mommy had to go outside. She's really careful to not let me sneak out.

Other than this, I was a pretty good boy. I just played with Bail, Sampy and my toys. The early morning and early evening is when I make my most mischief . . . I like Mommy to watch it, I guess.

Well, I have to go nappy time, Breep to everybody!

I'M GETTING BIGGER AND MORE HAIRY AND I CAN JUMP HIGHER

Yes, I'm growing. My legs have gotten longer so now I can leap up to the kitchen counter without falling back down. I was able to do this on Sunday. I'm really thrilled. I can also jump into the kitchen window without sliding back down.

My tummy hair is longer and my tail is a tad fuller. I've got britches! Not much toe tuft action, though. As to ear tufts, I have very slight lynx tips. My coat is still a funny texture which is not totally silky like that of a Maine Coon. My hair feels like velvet in some places with very course outer hairs (Mommy says they are water repellant guardhairs). I still talk and behave like a Maine Coon. I've got everybody fooled. I'm allegedly half Maine Coon on my mother's side. The other half is ????? who knows. Mommy is thinking maybe a Bombay. What would I be called then? A Bom Coon or a Bay Coon?

Also, note how big I look in my newest photo entry. I look like a big jungle cat! GRRRRR!!!

How about the cuddle-bunnies, me and Bail. This was taken in the new cat tree. Bail was sleeping in there and I decided to join him and he didn't object. Of course, Mommy got out the camera and took this shot.

Well, I got to go chase Bail.

Breep to all my Catster friends.

CONGRATS BAIL! ALSO, I'M A JEWEL THIEF!

Congrats Bail. I'm so happy for you getting Diary Pick of the Day. You're my hero! Also, you got some new friends too. That's really cool!

Mommy says I'm a jewel thief. I was a bad boy and hopped up on the dining room table (the big table) and started poking in a bowl up there that was filled with bills and whatnot. I was in search for something to chew on . . . you know paper, plastic, wood or something. I'm teething and I need to chew.

Well, anyway. I pulled out a beaded necklace and a watch and I started chewing on the necklace. Mommy took it away from me and said I was a jewel thief. Mommy had put them there and forgot they were there.

Well, that's about my adventure for the day. Earlier Bail and I were playing in the cat tunnel. Bail got brave and went all the way in and I bopped the outside of the tunnel when he was in there.

Got to go now, I'm very sleepy.

BREEP TO ALL YOU CATSTERS AND MY CATSTER BUDDIES!!

ATTACK OF THE GREEN STALKS PART II (Mommy The Stalk Slayer)

May 21st 2006 7:16 am

I saw Mommy outside this morning cutting up those Martian green stalks. It's been two weeks ago when I spotted the things in the backyard and more have sprouted up since then. She got out her stalk slaying tool and went to work. She then put them in a big pile and will bag them later for the yard refuse man who comes on Thursday.

These bamboo stalks are terrible and Mommy wishes the neighbor would get rid of his so they wouldn't take over her yard.

Anyway, Mommy has her yard work cut out for her because these stalks reappear every other week in the spring and summer.

Got to go now.

BREEP TO ALL YOU CATSTERS AND MY CATSTER FRIENDS!

I SPENT ALL NIGHT WITH MOMMY

May 20th 2006 5:09 am

I must have been cold last night. I slept on the big bed with Mommy, curled up in a ball at her shoulder. When she woke up I was all purrs and licks and kisses. FEED ME!! Our bowls of dry food are low. I think Bail was pigging out last night. The guy can really pack in that dry food! He loves it!

I think it's been too cold at night every day this month. Mommy shuts all the windows. I like it warm with an open window so I can take periodic watches at the night life (those big flappy tan flying things again).

I can't wait until it warms up. I like the early mornings because the birdies are all singing in the new day.

Not much else going on now. I ate and want to prowl around the house for a bit. I want to see what I can chew on because I believe I am teething. About a month from now (Sampy tells me) I will get my big boy teeth! I can't wait!

BREEP TO ALL MY CATSTER FRIENDS!!!

THERE WAS A STRANGE BIRD CHIRPING THIS MORNING

This bird I never did see, but wow, did he ever chirp loud! I kept looking out the window at the yard and in the trees to see where the stupid thing was. Mommy came to the bathroom window to check out who was making all the noise as she could hear it from her bedroom.

It was not a bird, but something in one of the neighbors yards. She thought it was either a window fan or an air conditioning unit that squeaked terribly. It sounded like one big bird or maybe several birds all at once. It was annoying to hear.

Eventually, the neighbors turned the thing off because the sound is no longer there.

In the evening, Bail and I had a chase and tumble after Mommy had her dinner. I'm tired now andready for bed.

Got to go,

BREEP TO ALL

KNOCKING ON DOORS AND NIGHT BUG WATCHING

May 17th 2006 6:54 pm

I am a skilled bathroom door knocker. I do this loud and clear when Mommy is ready to get out of the shower so I can come in and hop in the tub (water must be all gone too).

Also, this evening, Bail and I watched the night bugs from the bathroom window. I mean moths, those tan colored flappy things. I'd like to get hold of one of those. I heard from Sampy that they're good eating and more tastey than flies. Maybe one day one will get in the house and fly right into my mouth. yummmmmmyyy!

Now I am prowling around the computer room shouting dictation over my shoulder to Mommy. I'm telling her I Love her and she ought to chill on being so strict with my being in the computer room. There are so many neat things in here that I can play with . . . . and chew on . . . .

Oh, well, I did head toward the telephone cord and Mommy told me that's it, time to end your diary and stay away from cords.

Bye for now and breeep to all you Catsters and congrats Sampy on the Diary Pick of the Day and the beautiful rosette from Katy Jane.

THE BATH TUB

May 15th 2006 6:37 pm

I find the bath tub one of the most exciting places in the house. After Mommy takes her shower and all the water goes down, I jump in and get my feet wet on the moisture that is still in there. I like getting just the bottoms of my feet wet. I also am intrigued by the dripping faucet. Today Mommy was filling one of my water dishes and after she filled it, she left the faucet on a slow drip, drip, drip and I just couldn't resist it. I stuck one of my front paws under the drip. It was kind of neat!

That was my excitement for today. Part of the day was sunny and Bail and I had some fun wrestling and running. You know, the usual.

Got to go now. Breep to all you Catsters and my Catser friends.

I AM TROUBLE AND PROUD OF IT

May 14th 2006 2:27 pm

Yes, I like to go places where Mommy won't let me and I know she gets aggravated by it, but I do it anyway. This is a list of places where she doesn't want me to go and I am obscessed with attempting to enter whenever possible:

1. The cellar because of all the bugs and spiders that are occassionally
down there;

2. Mommy's closets because of the clothes in them that she doesn't want
me swinging from;

3. The computer room where there are cords I can munch on;

4. The refrigerator because it has food in it and it's cold in there.

5. Outside. She only lets me outside in her arms, that's it. My feet never
get to touch the ground.

Rules, rules, rules. I wish I could do what I want when I want it. I want what I want when I want it!!!!!!

Well, maybe when I'm bigger some of these rules will change, but I doubt it. These rules apply to Bail and Sampy too except Sampy and Bail get to go in the computer room more often because they are not cord chewers anymore. Sampy also gets to go out a couple of hours a day, but not while Mommy is at work or out shopping or whatever.

So, the computer room is the most likely place I will be allowed to go in the future. Mommy lets me go in there now, but she watches every move I make and if I head toward the cords she puts me out and closes the door. Oh how I hate closed doors.

Anyway I still love my Mommy and I will be good to her tonight as I always am at that time.

Breep to all, Merl

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY ALL YOU CATSTERS AND MY CATSTER FRIENDS!

MY VET VISIT TODAY

May 13th 2006 7:31 am

Mommy put me in the carrier and I instantly wanted out! I knew where I was bound . . . the vet. They weighed me. I'm now a strapping 4.8 lbs! Three weeks ago I was 3.6. GROWING, GROWING, GROWING! That's what I want.

They took my temperature. I'll tell you that was no fun. I hate it! Next, came the shot and that was no picknic either! Ouch! Ouch! She listened to my heart and said it was fine.

Mommy asked the vet a few questions as to whether she thought I would be a longhair . . . she said she doubted it . . . and said my hair is looking like a domestic medium hair. She ran her fingers through the hair on my back and said that's getting longer and the "kitten fluff" is gone, and the hair on the base of my tail is much longer than it was before and longer than the middle and tip. I still have my stripes and my neck, face, chest and tummy is black smoke. The vet said I'm going to have a very interesting pattern when all my coat grows in. I can't wait. Same with Mommy.

Mommy paid the bill and scheduled me for the "neuter" a month from now as the vet said my privates are still not "all the way down" whatever that means. This I'm not looking forward to.

I'm home now of course and had a window sitting session with Bail.

Later and breep to all
