I'M BORED TODAY

It's Friday and I'm bored. Bailey doesn't want to play with me. I don't know what his problem is. We had such fun early this morning running up and down the stairs. In fact, we did this every morning this week. I guess he's a morning type . . . he doesn't do nights. Mommy's worried about him and will check on him after my dictating is done.

Also, I was in the computer room exploring . . . Mommy has all kinds of stuff in here and nice places to climb onto (dressers,TV, bed, end tables). I stood on one end table and reached for a round thing holding many feathers! I never seen such a neat toy. I stood up on my haunches and started batting it a bunch of times. Mommy told me it was a dreamcatcher.

Twice I made it up on the dresser and this is a high one. It looks like a building to me . . . . towers way over my head. I got up there by jumping on the smaller one next to it.

Then I headed to the area behind the TV and that's when she told me I had to leave. She doesn't want me back there because it's dangerous and thinks I will chew on some of those long dangly black cords back there.

Well, I guess I'll try to find Bail and pick on him.

MOMMY GAVE ME A PIECE OF SHRIMP

I'm sitting in Mommy's lap at the moment dictating this (yes, I can do it pretty good now!) I'm purring up a storm because this is my way of thanking her for the piece of shrimp she gave me. It was a little strange to chew at first, but once I got it all chewed up, what a good taste! Yum-yum-yum!

She told me it was shrimp fried rice. I didn't go for the rice though.

Not much else going on except I'm growing bigger every day. My feet are huge. They look like I got a big cat's feet!

Bailey is a little bit envious, I think. Sampy congratulated me. I didn't really see Cammie, so there's no opinion there.

So that's about it. I just walked around sniffing things and am not really up to playing right now. Mommy has to clean my litterbox too.

HAPPINESS IS A FRESH, COOL DISH OF WATER; AND SUNDAY- PLAYTIME

Another thing that we cats and kittens like is fresh, clean water and when it is fresh from the "hose" it's the best. Mommy filled our "kitty water cooler" this morning as it was getting low. Bail and I ran to it and drank long (mostly me). I like this cooler the best . . . Mommy has another one and I don't use it at all. The dish portion isn't deep enough for us to dip our feet in! Bail is famous for sticking his feet in the dish everybody wants to drink out of.

Also, change of subject, Bail and I had an exercise session with the feather on a string toy. Bail stole the toy from Mommy and almost ran up the stairs with it. She finally caught him. She then swung the thing 'round and 'round to make it look like a flying bird. It was such fun! Boy can Bail leap . . . about 2 feet in the air and land back on his feet. I can't do that now as my baby legs aren't that agile. I can leap, but I land on my side instead of my legs. I'm really a clumsy little guy.

This is another reason why I want to be a big kitty. I want to leap like my brother. One thing I have really mastered is the cat tree. I can leap up it and swing on its platforms. This is the ultimate fun for a little guy like me.

Well, I got a little extra wordy today. Megaprose for a little guy!

HAPPINESS IS A CLEAN LITTERBOX

Yes, happiness is a clean litterbox and I make sure that Mommy cleans our boxes good. Each time I follow her from box to box and watch her every move.

Then when she's done . . . . ha! ha! I fill one back up. Just can't resist running my feet through that litter!

Happiness is definitely a clean litterbox!

I'M GROWING!

Yes, every day I get a little bigger! Only thing, I haven't been able to jump up on the kitchen counter like Sampy and Bail do. Oh, how I wish I could jump that high! I can't reach the windows either except for two of them . . . the one in Mommy's room where I can leap from her bed to the cat window seat and the other one in the spare bedroom from a basket of dirty laundry to a filing cabinet and then from the cabinet to the window.

I can't wait until I'm old enough to actually jump that high without some stuff serving as steps for me.

Also, my coat is getting a little bit longer. I have shaggy britches and tummy. My back toe tufts are a bit longer too. Time will tell. I still talk like a Maine Coon, Mommy tells me.

Not much else going on. It's raining and I'm tired.

MOMMY GAVE ME SOME CATNIP TONIGHT

When Sampy came in from his evening stroll around the house, Mommy gave us both some catnip. This is the second time I had it and, WOW!!! I LIKE IT!!! Sampy really goes wild over it too. Bail didn't have any today, but he told me it doesn't do much for him. He'd rather play with his feather toys and chase me up and down the stairs.

Also, in the middle of the night, I purred in Mommy's face. I couldn't stop purring. I think I have Sampys purring disease!

Other than the above, tonight is a very lazy night. Sampy is sleeping and so is Bail. I'm sleepy too. I have no imagination tonight. I can't think of anymore scary movies to make up either.

ATTACK OF THE FIFTY FOOT LONG TAIL

Help! There's this long, long gray tail and it's after me. When it wasn't looking I got brave and snuck up on it and bopped it a couple of times. IT MOVED BACK AND FORTH! BOY WAS IT SCARY. Never had I seen such a scary, hairy thing in my life. What can it be???? Where did it come from . . . was it outer space?

Ha! Ha! This is Merlin's "B" movie staring me Merlin, and of course the owner of the tail is the BIG BAD BAIL WITH THE FLUFFY TAIL!!

HAPPY EASTER, EVEN THOUGH IT'S KIND OF LATE. I slept some today and played with Mommy and Sampy and Bail and my toys. The usual stuff.

I also got to eat a little piece of chicken. Boy was that tastey!

MY VET VISIT AND MY TEMPORARY PLUME TAIL

I went to the vet today and I did pretty good. I didn't like the needle part nor did I like my temperature taken. That was not fun! The vet told Mommy that I looked good and that I now weigh 3 lbs. 6 oz. That's a weight gain for me. Two weeks ago I was 2 lbs 14 oz. She said I definately had some longhair in me. Good!

I did get a temporary big plume tail today to. That's because there were two big dogs (that's what Sampy told me they were and how scary they are) in the vet's waiting room. I don't like dogs! I made like a Haloween kitty and had a big temporary plume tail.

Well, that's all for now. I'm a little bit sleepy.

MY NEW GAME AND I HAVE A VET VISIT TOMORROW

I have a new game I tried out today. I got my big pom-pom ball and threw it in the air and down the stairs. I then ran after it and rolled it across the living room floor! I also like attacking the ties on the dining room chair cushions. Mommy keeps tying them and I keep untying them. I also like to play with the dining room window blind. I close it and then Mommy opens it. This happened several times yesterday morning.

Bail is tired right now and so is Sampy. I guess I'm getting a little sleepy too. I'll try to sleep. I got a big day tomorrow. I go to the vet for a booster shot. Thrills upon thrills. I can't wait until it's over.
