Mom had a little operation on her knee today.
She left the house this morning like she always does to go to work.
But came home around 1 o’clock. She was using these metal stick things that helped
Dad said to all of us kitties to stay away from them. They can really hurt.
Mom was sleeping for most of the day and we have been keeping her company. We are purring a lot to help her get better fast.
Buddy got in trouble because he wanted to sleep on her hurt leg. Stripey and I have been sleeping at the bottom of the bed. Pinkie was sleeping next to her on her pillow.
Fluffy got bored after a while and left. Biggles and Xena have no clue she is even laying in bed.
Mom says although we are helping her feel better, we are not good at sharing the bed.
Wonder where Dad will sleep tonight so that we can all fit and take care of her???

It is finally summer in New England which means it is hot and humid.
Mom did all her cleaning and house work on Saturday morning so that she could enjoy the long weekend doing some fun stuff.
Well, it is to warm today to really do anything.
She came up with an idea of walking around the yard and taking a photo of a flower that reminds her of each of us.
She started with my page with a cool photo of a geranium that is in focus. But the background isn't. She said it is a beautiful flower just like her Nonny.
Keep in mind, my Mom takes pictures. She is not a photographer by any means so the little things excite her.
She is going to upload some more photos as they day goes on.
She is looking at some day lillies right now (yellow...wonder who those remind her of???)

I was honored to be the first to make a purchase at
my friend Tigger's Etsy shop.
The Cat Fun Attic
Everyone should check out the store. Our family highly recommends the sock toys which has super duper cat nip(not sure if that is the official type..MOL).
Buddy may have a new friend in the muskrat toy.
I can't wait to see my figurine.
So gets a shoppin.
Your getting some fun stuff for your kitty and helping out a great Catster family.

I guess it is only fitting to have this story the same weekend as The Kentucky Derby.
At the Cemetary where Dad's Father is laid to rest, there is a field where 3 horses live. Two of the horses are really Shetland ponies. One is all white and one is brown and white.
The brown larger horse and brown and white pony one seem to be friends. They are always together in the field.
Mom and Dad bring carrots for them to eat when they go visit. Today when they were done eating the carrots, the little brown and white pony was kicking its' leg back. A piece of wire from the fence was tangled arounds its' hoof.
Mom screeched that they had to do something. Both of our Grandmas were watching as Mom and Dad jumped into action.
Neither of them have any experience around horses. But knew they couldn't leave without helping.
Dad tried to pull it off. Only made it tighter. Now big horse is getting nervous because Dad is touching his friend. They were more afraid of getting kicked by him. Although, little pony still has a lot of strength. Little white pony just stood and watched. Mom tried to distract big brown horse and held onto the harness of the pony.
There is a house at back of the field. So, Mom said go get someone. Dad ran down the road. He came back just as fast. It is abandoned. Dad said "Friday the 13th" like.
I guess it still had electricity because there is a light shining from the porch. Maybe a way to keep kids from messing around in the field.
So now they knew they had to be the ones. Mom petted little pony's nose and Dad grabbed his leg. Little pony was calm most of the time. They all knew they were trying to help.
Dad finally could see what to do and was able to loosen the wire and set little pony free.
Mom's Mommy wouldn't look and kept asking is he free and Dad isn't getting kicked right?
Dad's Mommy kept telling her how things were coming along.
After he was free, all 3 just trotted away to the middle of the field and just started eating grass. No worse for wear...
The funny part is that Dad's nickname from a friend is Dr. Doolittle. He certainly lived up to that name today.
Stay golden pony boy!!

We have a new family member
joined our family on December 29th. That is the day
we trapped her.
We hope she learns to love our family and appreciate
Right now she is still pretty nervous. But she is letting Mom sit closer to her then the first few days.
She has double paws that are pretty cool.

Our good friends Tigger, Cali, and Dad are in a bad way.
Dad lost his job and did not get extended benefits and is now losing his home.
Tigger and Cali most likely will need to find foster care while Dad can get back on his feet. If you live in Florida or near by states and can offer some assistance, please let Tigger or myself know. They live in the Orlando area.
Anything anyone can do or knows of someone that may be able to help....please please please...

Although I don't like to write very often..it interupts my sleep time..MOL
I had to write about what has been happening in my little state. TT and Tasha
can attest to the craziness we have been experiencing in little Rhody since Monday.
We thought we have seen rainy stretches before..well this time we got close to 10
inches of rain in less then 3 days. This caused all 3 of our major rivers to flood and destroy many homes and businesses. Roads have been closed and even Rt 95 was closed for almost 2 days because 3 feet of water spilled onto the highway. That is just crazy.
We even made the national news which we only seem to do when one of our elected officials sticks their hand into the kitty jar (no pun intended).
Where we live was safe because we live very high up on a bank. But below us, the Blackstone River over flowed its banks and flooded out a few companies with 5 and 6 feet of water. The photos Mom has are just incredible. It looks more like the Colorado River.
The good part is that Mommy's work gave her the day off tomorrow to give people an opportunity to get things back to normal if they are affected and get ready for the Easter holiday. We will get some quality sleep time.
We are sending our thoughts and prayers to our neighbors and their furry family members in hoping that everyone is okay.
