I gotta go - my pal, Dude K., reminded me that tonight is Whitefish Wednesday over at the buffet!

No Rest For Angels!

Dang, don't any of you get any ideas that being an angel is all rest, play, and no work. The head dude up here has us running ragged, but it's a good thing we are healthy forever so we can keep up the pace!

In addition to my Welcome Committee duties which has been giving me some overtime pay - yeah, we get paid up here - bet you didn't know that - I've got some other duties too.

We are all on call for Angel Dust Sprinkling. We sprinkle for different reasons - when there is a new kitty in a family, when somecat is sick, when a cat joins Catster - there are a lot of reasons you get sprinkled from the angels.

Whenever a cat is having surgery, there is a big turnout for sprinkling. Here is another secret from me, but remember, act like you don't know this when you eventually get up here.

In our welcome packet is a rainbow pawwatch. We have to wear it at all times. Whenever the pawwatch starts playing, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, we know it is time to sprinkle angel dust. The Angel Dust Committee fills us in on the 411 (that's angel talk for the WWWW's). In case you don't know what that means, it is the who, what, where, and why of angel dust sprinkling.

We've already been given a heads up that tomorrow will be surgery angel dust sprinkling for Joey. He is having a big, fat, nasty tumor removed from his neck.

So, while all the angels are sprinkling him with angel dust, the rest of you need to get your purr motor revved up and send him some purrs. The tumor is a mystery tumor, so be sure to purr that it isn't cancer.

I gotta go - there is a brusselball game this afternoon, and I don't want to miss it!

A Secret from the Bridge!

November 25th 2009 9:04 pm

Well, I just have to tell you that there are no errors at the bridge. We don't have anything like Error 6 or Log In problems! So, don't worry about us when we go to the Internet Cafe'. We have the best techno cat around, and we never run into problems!

The only problem I'm gonna have tomorrow is who to sit next to at the big Thanksgiving dinner. Lola has been hanging all over me, and keeps telling me to sit next to her cause she is a good girl.

And then I got my pals Skinner, Whatnot, Yeti, Smokey, and Merlin the Cat Wizard who have only been here since the beginning of the month. They need help figuring out where to go and what to do.

Dang, I've only been here a month myself, so I'm still learning the ropes. Even though it is only the first Thanksgiving for my pals Scooter, Sammie, Tyler, Jack, Kashmere, Alaidh, Susie, Boots, Icebox, Patrick, Lucky, Ginger, Jake, Queenie, Yngvar, Shadow, Shep, Zack, Duncan, Burbank, Charlie, Emma, Mojo, Tooney, Simon, Missy, Cookie, Simi, Bibi Anne, Cinder and a few more pals, we all decided to find the biggest, roundest table and sit together as group. I've also asked my eye twin, Buddy, and our other great pal, Buddie to join our table since they both have bridge dates close to Thanksgiving.

We're gonna call it the 2009 table. We've got a lot to talk about, so it will be an all day feast! I think we've even saved some room at the table for a few doggies - I've asked Rocky to join us, and he is bringing Sadie Boo and Stormy B. along with him.

Happy Thanksgiving to all those back on earth. We're sure going to miss you, and we know you'll miss us too.

Busy Time!

Wowza, there is little time for rest up here at the bridge. Since I got on the Welcome Committee, that rainbow has been blinking a lot!

I had to grab my Catster sign and hightail it to the gate tonight when Skinner journeyed to the bridge.

After getting his heart basket, and running over to meet me, we sat down and got to know each other. Skinner is one handsome dude, and he sure had a rough time in his life - first as a stray, and then with different illnesses.

But, now he is done with being sick and can play and run free at the bridge - and chillax at the Catster Club tonight!

Skinner told me that he has to watch over Chelsea Louise because that is his sweetheart. I told him I would help him do that because CL is a pawsome friend girl of mine.

So, if you have a minute, stop by Skinner's page and send his family some love because I know they are going to miss him.

Committee Secrets!

When you've been at the bridge for three weeks like I have, the Committee Manager comes and asks if you want to be on a committee.

I decided that the Welcome Committee sounded like fun. Today was my first day on the job. I was given a big sign that had Catster written on it.

When a cat is making their journey to the bridge, and they are about to approach the gate, the rainbow flashes on and off. That is the signal for the Welcome Committee and all the angels to get in place.

When I saw the rainbow flashing, I grabbed my Catster sign and went to the main gate. There were other committee members holding signs too . . . . . I Can Has Cheezeburger, LOL Cats, Strays.

It was really crowded today, and I was looking to see if any Catster pals were coming through the gate. And then I saw her . . . . . Lola was Kung Fu dancing through the gate and getting her heart basket.

I waved my Catster sign and she came running over to meet me. I told her I really didn't want to see her, but since she was here, we were going to have a pawsome time until we see our families again one day!

And then Scooter and SooLing came by, and I knew Lola was going to be just fine.

Dang, she has the biggest blue eyes!

Wowza, I think the Diary Gal likes me more as an angel because she has been picking me a lot lately!

It is a pretty cool view up here at the bridge, and the bestest part is being able to check on all my pals when I go to the Internet Cafe'. Since there are so many Catsters up here, we have to sign up for computer time. If you don't get a turn one day, then you find out all the scoop when you go to The Catster Club at night.

And you thought being at the rainbow was one big catnap! We do get in some major snooze time, but there is a lot to do with being a guardian angel and stuff like that.

So, today I want to tell you about some pals that you need to think about this week.

The first one is Scooter's sister, Lola. She is pulling a Calvin and not eating like she should. Her parents are very concerned about her, and we sure don't need her up here yet, so keep her in your purrs!

Then there is our pal, Louis LeBeau who is going to have surgery on the 24th to remove a bump that shouldn't be on his side. His Mommy is very worried, so I know he would appreciate some purrs.

Of course, I'm keeping a special watch over Gleek. I sure didn't teach him right on the art of pill taking. He has been taking his pills without much of a fuss. What is wrong with him? Doesn't he know you're supposed to hide the pill in your cheek and then spit it out? He won't know much about what condition his condition is in until he finishes up three weeks' worth of pills.

We're having a birthday party today for Jules Vern. I hear there is going to be a brusselball tournament, so I've got to get going!

Oh, and I wanted to let Mawmee know that the beautiful orange sky she has been seeing at night for the past week are courtesy of me!

A Calvin in a Calvin Collar!

I knew that the best cat to wear a Calvin Collar would be a cat named Calvin!

Check out my little namesake in his Christmas Calvin Collar that I sent him! Isn't he the most adorable kitty ever?

I wanted to remind all my pals who have Calvin Collars to be sure to tag the picture of you wearing it with the words Calvin Collar.

I think Diego was the pawsome pal who came up with that idea, and it makes it easy for me to see all my pals in one place. And, Mawmee can grab your picture and make you a star on her Cat in the Clover blog.

Be sure to stop over at the blog and check out all the cool pictures!

And if you go over there and look at today's entry, you'll see a pawsome painting that was done by Klancy and Kosmo, Kramer, and Tiny Krazy's Mommy! Wasn't that super duper nice of her to do? It made Mawmee cry.

Here a Calvin, There a Calvin!

Did you see the handsome Calvin that is Dog of the Day today? That is probably what I would look like if I were a dog. If you have doggie siblings, get them over to Calvin's page and ask him to be friends!

I think cats should be allowed to be friends with dogs. Well, maybe some dogs. Like a dog named Calvin. I would be friends with him. Maybe I should ask him to join the Cool Calvin Club!

More Secrets Revealed!

November 6th 2009 2:55 pm
[ View A Comments (12) ]

I got another bridge secret for you, so keep it on the downlow and don't tell anycat you heard it from me.

There is a weekly newspaper here at the bridge. We can submit articles if we want. There is a Diary Gal with a column called Dear Tabby.

A bunch of us new angels wrote to Dear Tabby this week and asked her if she had any connections to the Catster Diary Gal. It turns out that she is the fifth cousin of the Catster Diary Gal's third cat. It's kind of like that Six Degrees of Separation from Kevin Bacon.

She said she would see what she could do to get some of us new angels recognized as diary picks. She came through for us because Angel Smokey and I are both diary picks today!

Thanks to all my pals for the rosettes and pmails. I'm glad the Diary Gal saw the importance of making sure everycat knew about the new Calvin in town!
