Picture Happy!

I noticed that HQ gave us lots more room to add pictures. Mawmee was really happy about the extra 100 we can add because she had reached the limit on most of us. She sure didn't like deleting pictures in order to add new ones.

So, I'm sure a bunch of you have noticed that I got a lot more pictures added to my page today. Thank you so much for all the comments you are leaving on the pictures.

It made Mawmee happy, but of course, she was also crying when she saw some of the pictures because it reminded her how much she misses me.

Thanks, Top Cat, for giving us more photo space. I've gotta run - we're having a meeting tonight regarding the big Easter egg hunt and egg decorating party.

Talk to you later . . . . .

Busy Getting Ready

We got an early notice that my pal, Hazel Lucy, is making her journey to the bridge today.

All her angel pals have been busy getting ready for her arrival. Rocky Ann shined up the pink Welcome sign. Dude Kitty said he would make sure her heart basket is ready at the gate when she arrives.

Sugar is getting her signed up for orientation, and Spunky has been crocheting a nice tranquility blanket for her to chillax on in the Catster Club tonight.

What can a cat say about Hazel Lucy? She is a Catster LEGEND! Is there anycat that doesn't know Hazel Lucy? She started the Purr thread, and if we didn't have that purr thread that Boxie Brown now takes care of, we wouldn't have had so many miracles around here.

Is there anycat that doesn't have a tranquility blanket? If we didn't have those tranquility blankets, this place would be all untranquil!

Is there anycat that hasn't appreciated all the notices about recalls and bad stuff we should avoid? HL has kept us informed, and that is going to be her major job when she becomes an angel. All the cats on earth will still need to know about stuff like this, so she is going to be busy up here at the bridge!

And who told us all about Calming Collars, and how to officiate at a wedding, and how to have the first Catster wedding, and being in love, and taking trips, and giving me opportunities to roll my eyes?

It is Hazel Lucy . . . . . and we are going to be so sad for her Mom when she makes her journey. She has given Hazel Lucy such a great life, and we are proud to have her as a friend.

Please keep her Mom in your purrs all day and for a long time because she is going to miss Hazel Lucy so much. I know Buddie is very excited to be reunited with HL, and I'm going to let him hold the Welcome sign to greet her.

May your journey be peaceful . . . . . we love you, HL!

Sixth Sponsored Cat!

I wanted to let you cats know that I'm so happy you are still purchasing Calvin Collars because we were able to sponsor another kitty at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary!

For every collar that is purchased, Mawmee sets aside $1.00. When 25 are sold, we sponsor a cat. In 2009, we sponsored Cheeze and Sebastian. In 2010, we sponsored three cats - Homer, Sunny, and Yellowstone!

And our first cat sponsored in 2011 is Saigon! You can read about Saigon over at The Cat in the Clover blog!

For those of you that are really good in math, that means we've sold a butt load of collars - 150! Thank you so much for keeping my spirit alive by wearing the collars. It makes me so happy every time I see a pal wearing a new collar.

And please, don't forget to tag those photos:

Calvin Collar

so that you can be in the stroll, and I can get you featured over at the blog!

I am so tired from the big bowling tournament we had this past weekend. It lasted for days because we had so many birthdays to celebrate! It's time for a catnap, and the napping is good up here at the bridge!

My Pal Journeys ~

I was both happy and sad this morning when I saw my pal, Arnold P., coming in on a cloud to the bridge. I was happy to finally be able to meet him, but I was also sad because I know how much his Mom is going to miss him.

His sister, Boomer, got a heads up last night, so we all had a meeting and got everything organized so we could be ready for Arn this morning. I did a big MOL when I saw him carrying a brusselball through the gate! We can't wait for him to start a league up here, and as soon as he gets finished with orientation, we're all going to play a game of brusselball!

Arnold P. was quite a world traveller - the boy has lived in a gazillion states, and rode in a car unlike any other cat! I can't wait to sit with him at dinner tonight and hear about his travels.

He was quite the ladies man too - he knew how to flirt with the pretty girls. I'm sure that won't change now that he is up here!

I can wait for Arn to meet St. Francis of Assisi. We get to see the dude at church on Sundays. Arnold used to get blessed at church with holy water every year on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. He will freak out when he gets to meet him in person!

Arn's Mom is sure gonna miss him, and I know he is going to be the most pawsome guardian angel ever! Please stop by and if you can't send a rosette, at least send him a pmail to let him know how much you have enjoyed his friendship over the years!

I love you Arn . . . . .

Bridge Secret About Clouds

I just snuck over to the internet cafe to tell you about another secret! Did you ever wonder why when you look in the sky that some days you see clouds and some days you don't? Well, I'm gonna tell you all about it, but remember, you didn't hear it from me.

All us angels are required to take art class. We don't know from week to week when the art class is going to be held until we check on the calendar.

In art class we are all given white paper and lots of drawing utensils - markers, colored pencils, chalk, and crayons. We can draw whatever we want on the paper.

When the drawing is finished, we take it over to the special cloud machine. We put our drawing in the machine, and push the big red button. Our drawing gets whisked down this big tunnel, and it explodes into the sky!

When it explodes, it becomes a cloud! If you've ever seen what looks like an animal in the clouds . . . . . well, that is an animal that we drew in art class!

If the cloud is white, that is the part of the paper that didn't have any color on it. If the cloud has pinks, oranges, or gray in it, that is from the crayon or marker we used when we created our artpiece!

We never know where our drawing is going to land - it might end up in our hometown, or it could land in the Australian sky!

I gotta go . . . . today is Sammie's birthday, and we're gonna go bowling after we have cake!

Sugar Has Arrived and a Secret!

I got a heads up last night that my sister, Sugar, was going to be arriving at the bridge this afternoon. Spunky made a few extra signs for her arrival. We know she will see them because her eyesight is gonna be much better than it was on earth.

All her angel pals greeted her, and just like the vet said, I heard many of them comment about her soft fur! Sugar got her heart basket, and she was smiling to see so many hearts inside.

Now, I have a big bridge secret to tell you about. Spunky, Sugar, Rocky, and I all had another Mommy and Daddy. We're lucky because we've had two families to love us. Anyway, if you have a Mommy and Daddy that are already at the bridge then something special happens once you get up here.

I know you've all read the poem about being reunited with your Mommy and Daddy one day. It gets kind of complicated when you have a set of parents already at the bridge, and you still have parents on earth.

The Top Cat told me that you don't get fully reunited until everybody is up here. So, in order to be reunited with your first set of parents, they have a section of heaven where you get to chillax with your family that is already at the bridge. You have to sign up ahead of time so they can give you the key to the family cloud. Ooops, I think I just shared another secret - we all have a family cloud.

You're allowed to visit on the family cloud once a month. They don't want you seeing each other more than that because they tried that once, and a bunch of family fights started, and Dude K. knows more about it because he is in charge of the family cloud sign-up sheets.

So, once Sugar goes through orientation and finds out what job she is going to do at the bridge, then she can sign up to go visit her first Mommy and Daddy. I'm sure Spunky and Rocky will want to go with her.

Well, I gotta go - it's Boomer's birthday, and we've got a big bowling tournament tonight!

First Year is Done!

Wowza, can you believe it has already been a year since I made my journey to the bridge? It has been quite a year up here.

I've shared many secrets with you about the bridge - from my heart basket that I got when I arrived . . . . to the Internet Cafe, the Welcome Center, Orientation, the Catster Club, our bridge Diary Gal Dear Tabby, the flashing rainbow, our rainbow pawwatch, the ins and outs of angel dust sprinkling, the Christmas ornament workshop, secret colors of the rainbow, Cloud 9, the Heavenly Library, your bridge purr machine, pot 'o gold distribution, Rainbow Station and the Rainbow Ride, the Reunion Gate, the Mother's Day Cloud Train, the Concert Cloud, the Pink Welcome Sign, Dog Village, the Birthday Cloud, Alley Cat Bowling, and McDonald's at the Bridge. Don't forget - you promised not to say anything to the Top Cat when you get here about me sharing these secrets!

It has been one busy year with so many Catster pals making their journeys after I got here. When I look back at all the special pals who have come to the bridge, it makes me sad for their families because I know how special they are by the number of hearts in their baskets. We have a fun time together at the Catster Club each night!

There are a lot more secrets for me to share, so don't think that since I've been here for a year, you won't hear from me anymore. Guess what happens when your first bridge anniversary arrives?

This morning, a bunch of my pals who have been here for awhile stopped by to get me for breakfast. After breakfast, they blindfolded me and took me to a special cloud. When the blindfold came off, you'll never believe what I saw! I was at choir practice! Yep, you get to officially become part of the Choir of Angels after you've been here for a year! There is a choir director and a big 'ole piano. I know, I thought there would be an organ too, but Scooter told me that organs are so last year! The cat on the piano knew how to rock it! Dude K. and I sat together, and we really belted out some tunes. I heard the choir gets booked for special occasions up here. I get fitted for my choir robe later today.

I want to thank all my pals who have been so nice and remembered me today. We are all thankful to have such pawsome pals on Catster. I know you all are purring for Sugar and Gleek, and I sure appreciate it. I've been busy sprinkling angel dust on them, and when it is their time to journey, I'll be right there to greet them. I'm just thankful they didn't arrive up here today!

The Fork Dude and a Secret Too!

The rainbow was flashing this afternoon, and when we all ran to the gate, we saw our pal, Louis LeBeau riding in on his cloud carrying his fork!

We all cheered because we knew Louis was no longer in pain. His heart basket was waiting for him, and tonight he will be chillaxin with all his angel pals.

Louis is one of the Catster legends, and I can't wait to talk to him and find out all about Catster in the early days. I know he has a lot of stories to share with us.

And, yes, his eyes are really that green and beautiful! I almost thought I was looking in the mirror when I stared at him!

Okay, are you ready for the secret? Don't tell anycats, but there is a McDonald's up here at the bridge! When we saw Louis this afternoon, all of us started MOLing because we knew Louis would be so excited to see the golden arches over in the food court!

So, his family doesn't have to worry about him - he will have an endless supply of his favorite toy! I can't wait to hear him sing to his fork tonight!

Stop by and send some love to Louis' family . . . . .

More Angels Arrive ~

Dang, the gate at the bridge has been getting quite a workout lately! So many pals have been making their journeys, and I just wanted to make sure you knew about two more angels who have joined their pals.

Miss Mittens - she sure looked pretty when she got to the bridge. She was smiling and telling all of us how proud she was to be Cat of the Week! Miss Mittens was 14 years young.

Then I thought I was looking in the mirror when Tigger McGrumpypants rode in on his cloud! Tigger was 15, and he now starts his 10th life!

Be sure to stop by and send some love to both these angels as their families are hurting so much.

My Friend Girl, QT!

When the rainbow started flashing this morning, I grabbed my sign and started heading toward the gate. I noticed the sky was glowing pink, so I yelled to Rocky Ann to get the pink Welcome sign, and follow me!

We all got to the gate as Queen Tallulah floated in on her pink and white cloud! She blended in with the white part of the cloud, but her beautiful eyes were sparkling. I knew right away it was QT!

She got her heart basket - man, it was overflowing with tiny hearts, and then after we all hugged her, she went to orientation. They like to get you through orientation quickly, so you can go chillax with your pals.

QT sure inspired a lot of kitties - she was a breast cancer survivor, and she is going to be in a lot of Catster Moms' hearts this year as they walk in the Komen 3-Day for the Cure. She is the mascot of one team, and my Mawmee is going to have a ribbon with Queen Tallulah's name on it when she walks in November.

I was one of QT's guardian angels, but pretty soon she is going to learn how to be a guardian angel, and she will watch over all the other kitties who get that nasty breast cancer.

Her family is going to be very sad, and they will miss her so much, but she has angel work to do now. It's a very busy job being an angel. I'll bet QT will look so pawsome in her wings!

Tonight, I'm going to take her with me as we fly around and sprinkle down some angel dust. I think we'll stop at her house first. Be sure to stop by and leave her Mommy a note so that she doesn't get too sad.
