Yikes! I didn't know I had Diary Pick until 2:00 p.m. today! HQ never sent me one of those email notices announcing a Diary Pick that comes in 3:03 a.m. MD time. Anyway, thank you Diary Gal for the honor today!

I also thank my friends as follows for their concats and gifts:

1. BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
2. EDDY & Family - cool lemon drink;
3. SMILEY CASSANOVA - pawsome pawmail;
4. BEEPERS - cool comment;
5. JASPER - cool comment;
6. SQUIRREL - cool comment.

Lastly, we're in our third day of HHH! That's Hazy Hot and Humid. It's been in the upper 90's for these three days and relief comes later on today when nasty T-storms hit our area. We'll then get lower temps with less haze and humidity! Yeah! Maybe Mommy can open those windows again!!

Lastly, I'm still in love with Sampy's special food! It's yummy stuff. I suck it right up all the time!!

It's been almost a week since I started taking an interest in Sampy's special wet food (duck and pea). Yep, I'm still lovin' it! I meow, breep and eagerly pursue this stuff! I nom-nom-nom it like crazy! I could have enjoyed this yummy stuff earlier, but my yucky syndrome toward all wet food was in full force when Sampy was put on this diet. Now, it's a different story. I've reached the point wherein I got tired of eating dry food with an occasional salmon or chicken pawty. At 7 years old, I changed my mind and decided to push past my aversion toward wet food and give Sampy's stuff a try.

Now I'm on a special diet not because the vet prescribed it but because I don't like any other wet food. That's special enough for me. Mommy doesn't mind either. The stuff won't hurt me as a while back, she mentioned to the vet that Landy was stealing it,and she was told it wouldn't hurt him.

Anyway, we've got a cool, sunny morning. It's supposed to reach the lower 80's with lower humidity too! This is perfect window sitting weather! In fact, I spent the whole night sleeping in the window perch in Mommy's room. I also like cool nights.

Have a pawsome weekend, everycat!

As everycat knows, I'm very finicky toward all wet food in this household. Every time, I'm offered it, I sniff it, try to bury it, and walk away. This has been going on for a very long time. I used to eat Iams turkey or catfish and now they only have the pate which doesn't appeal to me. Mommy tried Blue Buffalo Turkey/Chicken and I was "sometimesy" with this (sometimes I'd like it and other times I wouldn't).

Well, I shocked Mommy last night by eating Sampy's special duck and pea wet food. Because of this, she gave me some more this morning and I ate that too. Likewise, I ate some tonight. It looks like this duck and pea which I used to try to bury has become good stuff! Mommy, stock up, because I like it too!

Anyway, we had rain off and on today (mostly in the morning). Tomorrow and the rest of the week is supposed to be sunny and in the lower 80's! Love it! Windows open days!!

Well, that's it from me.

We just noticed today that our music player isn't available anymore on our pages and you can only play the music on their site! Hisss! So today, those codes will be removed and purrhaps, Mommy will put up a nice slide show or more graphics in its place. So, from now on, our pages won't rock with music, they'll rock with pictures of our lovely faces and cool backgrounds. If us kitties want to rock, we can always hang out in Mommy's bedroom where the IPod player is playing a lot of songs(425 of them, in fact).

As to this weekend, it was hot yesterday and it didn't feel that hot as the humidity was low. We have the fans blowing, and during the afternoon the shades are drawn on the windows that the sun blares in. Today, will be humid and up to 90 degrees. I believe that calls for Mommy to turn on the AC. I don't like that as I don't get to sleep in an open window then and Mommy doesn't like running the AC unless it's absolutely necessary as she wants to keep the electric expenses down.

Anyway, it's not that bad out now so I'm going to take advantage of the windowsill perch in Mommy's bedroom while it's not hot yet.

Lastly, Mommy completed four days of work last week and one P.T. session. She's been quite achy all week week as new muscles are being moved during the P.T., and the low back, thigh and hip pains are still there because her body's still getting used to having her new knee. She can't wait until the pain goes away.

I hope everycat is having a pawsome weekend!

I'm the spokescat for everycat to concat Merl on his DDP today! As a kind gesture, I gave him a couple of licks on the top of his head and he returned one. That's saying a lot for him. He usually doesn't like to be licked and won't return licks.

Anyway, Mommy has to get up early tomorrow for her first outpatient physical therapy session which is at 7:30 a.m. That means us kitties will have an early breakfast as she has to leave here around 7:00 a.m.

So, I'm keeping this one short as bedtime will be early also.

We had a nasty t-storm yesterday that started around 4:30 p.m. and lasted until 8:00 p.m. From 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. it stopped and that was enough time for Mommy to open the windows a bit. Then after 9:30 p.m. another batch of rain without thunder and lightning came along for a few minutes and then it was all over. Thank goodness! I wanted to sleep in my window perch again and believe me, I got to do that!

Today is the payoff as the temps only got into the mid 70's, but it was nice and sunny enough for me to again sleep on the window perch.

Also, Mommy's been combing me everyday (none of the hold down types wherein she tries to get rid of the mats). Luckily, she hasn't found any when she felt under my armpits and tummy.

Lastly, Mommy has finished her in-home physical therapy. Ms. Melanie says Mommy needs more p.t. but it will be out-patient kind and her ortho will give her a prescription for that. Mommy asked Ms. Melanie what percentage (not range of motion) was her recovery so far. She told her she's 85% which is pretty good. She needs treadmill and stationary bike workouts to help bend and strengthen her knee some more. Currently, she walks with a cane(most of time). Sometimes she uses nothing and always uses the walker when she first wakes up in the morning.

Anyway, that's it from me, the Bail. I hope everycat is enjoying their weekend.

Today,I've been a big love bunny to Mommy. In fact, while she was laying in bed, I jumped upon her tummy and sat there for a long time while I gave her a lot wet nose rubs on her hands. This is my way of showing Mommy that I love her and wish her a speedy recovery.

Also, the heat is on in our neck of the woods. It got up to the mid 80's. Mommy's got the fans running. If it gets any hotter, the AC gets turned on; I believe Saturday and Sunday are going into the upper 80's.

Lastly, Mommy's still home and her knee is getting less swollen and numb. She's not sure how long that will last. Her boss wants her back to work ASAP and she wants to go back too. The ortho still has to see her on June 4th and he cannot release her over the phone; and she also needs to finish her in home P.T. before he can release her anyway.

Well, that's it for now. We're ready for bed around here.

Hey, it's the Bail and I've been Mommy's constant companion today more than any day since she's been back from the hospital/rehab. Nice sun spots come in her bedroom every afternoon and spread onto the window perch and onto her bed. I've also given her lots of rubs with my wet nose (nose kissies).

She was feeling under the weather for some reason today and had one of those Bruno Mars type of days that lasted all morning and afternoon; "I don't feel like doing anything, nothing at all". She didn't shower until 5:00 p.m. as she was feeling dizzy and her hips hurt along with her knee. She did manage to have a small late lunch before the shower which consisted of a chicken dinner that Auntie Mary bought her. For the first time in a long time, we had a chicken pawty.

Yep, Mommy's alright! She managed to push past her pain and throw us kitties a chicken pawty! It was pawsome!

Also, I send my belated thanks to Dante for his pic of me being "Blue of the Week from April 29 to May 5th". Mommy just got around to loading it today.

Anyway, I'm off to bed as it's past my bedtime.

Mommy came home yesterday with Auntie Mary. Mommy and all of us give five paws to Auntie Mary and Ms. Peggy helping out during the knee surgery and rehab. Auntie Mary has turned the whole upstairs into another apartment so Mommy doesn't have to use the stairs for more than 1-2 times a day. Auntie Mary put in a small microwave, 'fridge, safety bar for the human litter box and shower. The 'fridge is also fully stocked!

All of us kitties are so glad to see Mommy back home. Last night, Sampy, Landy and Merl piled into bed with her. This afternoon, I jumped on her bed and gave her many headbonks and wet nose rubbies on her hands. I then fell asleep in a large sun patch at the foot of her bed. It's great to have Mommy back even though she has to roll around this strange looking device which she calls a "walker". She also uses "furniture assisted walking" and her cane in areas where the walker won't fit. She also walks up and down the stairs pretty good since the staples were taken out of her knee.

Anyway, I'm going to cut it short as dinner time fast approaches around here.

All is well here and at the P.T. rehab. I'm doing well and I've let Ms. Peggy, our sitter, touch and pet me! I also let Auntie Mary do the same! It's great to push past my fears and let Auntie Mary and Ms. Peggy touch and pet me! I've been talking to Merl about trusting Auntie Mary and he let her pet him yesterday. He's still scared of Ms. Peggy. Time will tell.

Purrs & Breeps,

Mommy's Note:

I'm glad all's well with my babies & of course, myself. PT starts soon. Send purrs.
