MOMMY WAS BUSY ADDING CATSTER PLUS CAPTIONS

Well, we have gone to Catster Plus! How about that! Mommy was having a great deal of fun adding captions and frames to our pictures, time was slipping away, and she didn't get to our diaries until now.

I came in the computer room and greeted Mommy with a rub and a purr and jumped onto the lazy Susan CD holder below the window. Sampy was in the window, hogging it. He just jumped down . . . good I want to sit in that window for a few minutes.

It just finished storming and the air is a little cooler . . . it feels kind of nice on my fur. I love sitting in windows. My favorite is my watchtower; the cat tree and the cat perch windows are nice too.

Well, it's a quite night and I don't know if Mommy will get to everybody. If she does, they'll be shorter than mine. I guess I'm selected as the spokes purrson.

Well, BREEP TO ALL MY CATSTER FRIENDS!

P.S. Merl is doing great!

I'M GLAD MERL IS BACK HOME

I really missed Merl when he went to the vet and when he got back home, I also greeted him with my distinguished "breep". Merl was walking around and sniffing everything when he was let out of the carrier.

And then he was given some food and boy did he eat! He really packed it in! I never seen that guy eat so much. Poor guy had to fast yesterday and he really made up for it today. As he and Sampy mentioned, we did have a salmon party.

I was naughty when Mommy handed me some salmon. I got kind of anxious about it and grabbed too hard on one of her fingers. I bit her enough to make her say "Ouch, Bail, you bite, that's naughty."

Anyway, there's not much going on now except Sampy is sound asleep, Merl is relaxing in the open window in the computer room and I am thinking of some serious nappy time.

Got to go now . . . Breep to all my Catster Buddies!

MY BEST TO MERL

Merl, I wish you the best tomorrow. It'll be over in no time. We'll see you tomorrow night and will be gentle with you . . . I know you will feel a little "under the weather" then, but the next day you should be okay.

It's a drag to have your food pulled from you starting at 9:00 p.m. today, but that's what the doctor ordered. You can drink water though and Mommy has left out two coolers and one big dish.

For a change of subject, not much else happening tonight. I think the flies and moths are avoiding this house lately. I guess the word is out that Merl the "Fly Swatter" lives here . . . hee-hee!

I must go now. Sampy is eating again and I think Mommy is going to have me eat something too before she goes to bed.

Later and BREEP TO ALL MY CATSTER BUDDIES.

SUNDAY PHOTO SHOOT

Mommy went wild with the camera again today. She got Merl, Sampy and I in various shots, scanned them in, removed some old ones and uploaded the new ones. You will see below how handsome I've been looking lately. Minus the big ruff, I still look okay. BUT REMEMBER, IT'LL BE COMING BACK IN LATE SEPTEMBER! WOOOOHOOOO!!!

Next, Mommy (if she still has any energy left) will scan and upload the Bridge Angel's sites and put some poetry in them. Also, she wanted to do a photo shoot of Cammie, but she was hiding somewhere (probably in Daria's yard because the sun shines more there and our yard is very shady as we have more trees). Mommy did find some older pictures of Cammie when she was younger . . . but those have yet to be scanned in.

Well, I must go now and get some more beauty sleep . . . .

BREEP TO ALL MY CATSTER BUDDIES!

BLUEJAY FOR BREAKFAST (DREAM ON BAIL)

This morning I saw a big fat bluejay sitting in the same tree the raccoon was in yesterday. The jay was on a branch and just enjoying the wind rocking him back and forth. Boy, (drool, drool, drool) did I wish I could eat him for breakfast. But no such luck. You see, I was inside and the bird was outside in a tree.

Now for a total change of subject:

Mommy wanted me to share with everybody the top five tearjerker movies (in her opinion):

1. Sophie's Choice (the ultimate tearjerker of all times staring Meryl Streep);
2. Exodus (classic with Charlton Heston and Eva Marie Saint);
3. Deeply (nicely interwoven tale of past and present sad lives of two girls);
4. Breakfast at Tiffiny's (the last half hour - of course there's a cat in this one so you cat lovers have to feel sorry for the cat - but it all turns out okay)
5. Big Fish (you really feel a bond with the old man who told tales and it is sad in parts).

So there you go. If you feel like you're stuffing some sad feelings or grief and can't get them out, watch these. Sophie's Choice has the most sad parts in it.
Mommy was told by one of the vet techs when she lost Bentley to watch a tearjerker movie to help aid her get out the stuffed grief because stuffing grief is not good for anybody.

Well, that's about it. Me, the Bail, occasionally gives reports on music (or parodies music) or movies (though Sampy did twice). I got to go now. Mommy is going to Daddy Rob's in a little bit.

CROWS AND RACCOON, OH MY!!!

Early this morning Mommy awoke to screeching and cawing crows. She ran to the bathroom window to check out what was happening. Sampy jumped into the cat tree below the window in the hallway landing and looked out. Merl tried to jump into the window and couldn't quite make it; he dangled by his front feet on the ledge. He looked like that famous "hang in there kitty" posters or greeting cards we all see occassionally. He then slid down. He missed all the action out the window. So did I, as I ran downstairs. I guess I was scared of all the noise the crows were making.

Mommy and Sampy are the only ones who saw what all the commotion was about.

Sampy told me later: Apparently the crows were after a raccoon that came head first down the ivy covered oak tree in the backyard. When the raccoon reached the ground, the crows chased (divebombed) it out of the yard. The raccoon was all hunkered down and running fast as all get out!

Mommy thinks the raccoon robbed a crow's nest.

Later, Mommy's friend Mary (Aunt Mary to us) came over to visit. I let her pet me. It's late now and I'm going to let Merl and Sampy say something if they have anything to say. Merl and I didn't yesterday because of the website problems.

Everything seems to be going all right now. My pictures are back!

Anyway, BREEP TO ALL MY CATSTER BUDDIES AND HAVE A HAPPY WEEKEND!

MY FAVORITE NIGHTTIME SLEEPING SPOT

Mommy found me all stretched out and almost asleep on the long throw rug in front of the living room door. I like it because it's cooler downstairs even if the windows are shut . . . you know, hot air rises.

This is the same rug that Merl and I wrestle on and tunnel under. It's a multi-purpose rug.

It's a very lazy day . . . I dictated this to Mommy before I fell asleep on the rug above.

MOMMY'S NOTE: I'm going to sign off for Bail, poor guy. He's so tired. It's 10:00 p.m. Through the open window, I heard the college campus chapel bell chime the hour. I'm tired too. I just mustered up enough strength to do my boys' diaries.

I'll say Breep to all you Catsters and Catster friends.

PHOTO SHOOT OF THE BAIL

I fell asleep on Sampy's blue blankie for about an hour and while I was out like a light Mommy took five or six pictures of me sawing wood! OMG. Can't a guy sleep in peace?

I'm up now and there is some flying object in the house. I believe it is a baby moth. BORING . . . because it's not big enough. I want one of those mega moths that Max and Isis caught in Florida!

Last, night there was a kind of large one bumping against the window screen except there was one problem . . . it was on the opposite side of the screen from me!

Not good at all!

Well, I must go now. It's nearing Mommy's bedtime.

SOME WORDS OF WISDOM

June 5th 2006 6:16 pm

"PETS are companions and healers of human beings and they give us a better life on earth. They are the spiritual connection between people and nature".

Mommy bought two wooden picture frames at a dollar store with these words of wisdom on them. In each one , she put a photo of Merl and I (one of them is also currently on Merl's website here). She has to get another one for Sampy and Cammie. Of course, they won't be together like us.

Just think, words of wisdom on picture frames bought at a dollar store! Mommy loves these frames . . . so do Merl and I.

Today, of course, Mommy was home all day. She didn't go anywhere, but she did do some housecleaning as Merl mentioned. That vacuum cleaner has got to go. It's just too noisey. It hurts our sensitive ears.

Nothing else going on right now, I think I'll take a nap so I can carouse around 2:00 a.m.

BREEP TO ALL YOU CATSTERS AND MY CATSTER FRIENDS!!

MOMMY'S FUN DAY . . .PARTY, PARTY . . SHRIMP AND SALMON, OH- MY!!

June 4th 2006 7:27 pm

Mommy went to her family party today instead of taking me to the cat show. The party took place in Ellicott City, MD and was for her step-brother's son and daughter (step niece and nephew). The son graduated from high school and the daughter had her church confirmation. Everything went well. The food, I was told, was out of this world. Mommy told me that the seafood (drool, drool) was salmon and shrimp and crab. The shrimp were huge! The salmon was smoked and EXCELLENT The only thing I'm not happy about is Mommy didn't bring us back any. The stuff was so good that everybody ate it all up!

Yes, Mommy came home and fed us BORING cat food! Gee wiz, Mommy you could have at least pocketed some of that salmon and shrimp for us!

It would have been better had she told us she ate dog food at the party. I would have liked that better and so would have Sampy and Bail.

Well, it's time to sign off. I got two brothers telling me to hurry up.

BREEP TO ALL YOU CATSTERS AND MY CATSTER FRIENDS!!
