MOTH STORY

Hey, the Bail here. I got a story to tell. This is one of those stories that got passed down from way back.

Sampy told me this story that was told to him by Bentley who originally was told the tale by Max. Here goes:

"At one time Isis and I lived in Orlando, FL with Mommy. One night a very large moth got into our apartment. Isis and I had a good old time chasing the thing from room to room. The next morning Mommy found on the living room rug, the moth's head with two big nasty looking dead eyes looking up at her! She was grossed out!

To this day, she never found out who ate it's body and wings. Isis and I never told her. Perhaps we shared it."

Max never told Bentley who ate it either and so it remains a mystery that will never be solved . . . .

Last night I passed this story onto Merl. He was kind of amused since he likes strange stories and of course, moths.

Well, that's about it for now. Of course, I'm tired and . . . . the catnip is wearing off . . .

I GROWLED AT MOMMY TODAY

Please note that I am not a growler. I only growl when I am angry and I don't get angry unless I get my nails trimmed. I cannot stand this and when Mommy got about four of my nails trimmed, I let out a big GRRROWLLLLLL! She was startled by this because I never growled at her before now. The last times she trimmed my nails, I just wiggled a lot. This time I thought a nice loud GROWL would make her stop. It did, but she said we'll take this up later.

Mommy decided to trim our nails because Merl and I were peeking out the kitchen window and the hall window and trying to grab something flying on the other side and our nails got caught. Merl got a trim too and he was not too happy about it either.

Well I got to go it's getting near my nap time again.

HEY, IT'S THE BAIL!!

I'm still on my high about having the Diary Pick yesterday. I brought in a lot of viewers. That was sooo awesome! Mommy is so proud of me.

Anyway, because I was so full of energy, Merl and I got into the cat tunnel and racket sack about (I guess 3:00 or 4:00 a.m.), and had a good old time. We ran in and out of them and made a lot of noise. Mommy heard us I know it, but she didn't yell or anything. I like running into the cat tunnel and pouncing at the other end of it. When Mommy got up she found the tunnel all folded up from us pouncing and sitting on it instead of sitting in it.

Well, I got to go now. I'm a bit sleepy.

Also, I mastered my fear (False Evidence Appearing Real) of the cat tunnel. I was playing in it like crazy this morning. I kind of like it now. Thanks Mommy. Sorry, I didn't like it at first.

Not much going on at the moment. I just wanted to write a thank you note and talk about my conquered fear of the cat tunnel

A SUNNY SUNDAY, PHOTOSHOOT, AND CAT TUNNEL

Today, was my ideal day (besides yesterday). It was sunny and there was a breeze blowing all day long. Mommy took photos of the three of us taking turns sitting in the kitchen window. It was really fun. I have a feeling some of these photos are going to be on our websites . . . and old ones taken down.

Also, as to the cat tunnel, I'm kind of afraid of it for the following reasons:

1. It has only one entrance and one exit like a cat carrier;

2. It wobbles when you get inside;

3. This morning Mommy put me in it and I tried to turn around and the
thing rolled over with me still in it;

4. I got a little dizzy from that.

I don't think I'll be going inside it anymore for fear of it rolling with me inside. I don't understand it. When Merl and Sampy went in, it didn't roll with them inside. This tunnel is supposed to be like a safe haven type toy whereas a cat can sleep inside if they desire to.

NOT ME. Merl and Sampy can have it!

Well I got to go now, I'm going to lay down next to Merl and take a little nap on the pink blankie.

I AM A SUN WORSHIPPER LIKE A RINGTAILED LEMUR

Like a ringtailed lemur, I sun bathe. Oh, yes I do The sun is out today and Mommy opened FOUR windows. I tried them all out. I was just soaking up the rays. I love it. I love the way the sun feels on my face and my coat. I love listening to the birds chirping from open windows. I love smelling the air and feeling the breeze blowing on me.

After trying out two bedroom windows and the bathroom window, I tried the hall one in which my new cat tree is placed below. As I sat like a ringtailed lemur in my cat tree, I enjoyed every minute of the patch of sun that poured through.

Afterwards Mommy and I went upstairs to do my entry. I'm tired now and must take a little ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ time to myself. I understand Daddy Rob is coming over to mow the lawn and I don't want my sleep disturbed by that monster machine he'll be using to cut the lawn. Sampy calls this machine the grass vacuum cleaner that runs on gas and it's loud and stinky.

SAMPY WAS WRONG, I DO HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY!

Hi, Bail here. Mommy went into the closet and got out an old black top hat that had buttons glued to it and on the front of it there were words, "Cute as a Button". I understand she made this hat a long time ago for Bentley to wear in a cat show that had the theme "Cats in Their Hats". Bentley didn't win and Mommy thinks he should have won because it was one of the most original ones there.

Anyway, back to the present . . . GASP . . . SHE PUT THE HAT ON MY HEAD. She held me up and looked at me. "Awww, aren't you cute!" she said to me. I thought, but didn't say anything: "NO, NO, NO, TAKE IT OFF NOW. IT'S UNCOMFORTABLE AND I LOOK SILLY. I'M GOOD LOOKING ENOUGH WITHOUT A HAT AND YOU'RE MESSING UP MY EAR TUFTS!!!"

Whew. She finally took it off. The thing was too tight. I guess my head is way bigger than Bentley's was. I understand she put it on Merl's head yesterday and he didn't like it either as it was too big and uncomfortable.

I hope she doesn't make me wear any stupid stuff at cat shows in the future.

Well, I got to go now.

GOOD "CHILL" MUSIC

Hi, the Bail here. Mommy has been playing one of my favorite CD's. This one is good for cats as well as people who want to relax.

It's called CELTIC NIGHTS by Northsound. This CD has Celtic music with sounds of real birds chirping in the background and nature sounds like the surf, seagulls, wind blowing, sounds of marsh birds, water splashing, loons; anything that chirps and peeps is on here. I love it. I imagine the house filled with birds when I hear this one.

Just thought I'd share this.

I got to go. Mommy is getting tired and it's nearing her bedtime.

ANOTHER CAT SHOW COMING UP

Hi, the Bail here. Sorry about not saying anything yesterday.

I understand Mommy booked another cat show for me (June 4th) It'll be for just me and not Merl yet as his neuter is scheduled for one week after the show. Also, she doesn't know whether to classify him as a long hair or a short hair. In cat shows, it's either a long hair or a short hair. If the tail plumes, it's a long hair. Merl's tail hasn't plumed yet. It's fuller yes, but not feathery (plumy).

When he's six months old she'll probably know more and then she can show him. I truly think the guy will be a medium hair and she can classify him as a long hair if the tail plumes . . . we'll see. I'm kind of curious too.

Speaking of hair, I still miss my ruff. I can't wait until the fall to grow it back! When I'm showed in the cooler months, all the judges will oooh and ahhh over how beautiful I look!

Well, I must go and find Merl. It's his turn next.

FUN, FUN, FUN!

Hey, it's the Bail again and boy did Merl and I have fun this morning. We ran down the stairs, took flying leaps into the cat tree and ran back down the stairs. This was repeated several times. I always let out the loudest BREEEEEEEEPS, which means "LOOK OUT HERE COMES THE BAIL!"

When Mommy came home from work and before dinner, Merl and I had a wrestling match. He did the face-hugger stunt again and again. I kept nipping him in the feet and giving him the "kickies" on his head with my back feet. None of this hurt him. I'm a very gentle wrestler.

All this action tired me out and I'm getting ready to crash on the pink blankie. I let Sampy babysit today. Muhahahahahahah!!!!
