First of all, we had a small salmon pawty! I managed to have a couple pieces.

Afterwards, I followed Mommy upstairs into the computer room. She sat down and I noticed she had a dish with something in it. I then surprised her and jumped into her lap. I never done this before in my entire six years. I wanted to see what she was eating, that's why. And then she told me I couldn't have any of her "Chuncky Monkey" as it had chocolate in it.

Oh well, I took her word for it and jumped off her lap and onto her bed.

She's now watching a movie called "The Fugative" and I'm ready to take a nappy. Goodnight, everycat!

The cold weather is back! We had Sunday and Monday wherein Mommy had TWO open windows upstairs for us kitties to enjoy the 70 degree temps. Today, it's only 40 degrees,so no more open windows for some time unless we have another heat wave.

Tomorrow is December 1st! That means Catmas is not too far away. Hint, hint, hint Mommy! That means our Thanksgiving decor has to be replaced by that of Catmas. More new pics too. She did photo three of us wearing the Calvin Collar and those were shown on FB so far. She told me those will be added to our Catster pages.

Also, one neighbor put up his Catmas decorations already. He won't be lighting them until a week before Catmas. That's the "hubcap" tree and bicycle wheel snowmen! One of us mentioned this last year. A few days ago, Mommy got a pretty good pic of said tree and posted it on FB! She didn't think the guy would put it up this year as some sorry-type kids vandalized it last year.

Anyway, I got to run and let Mommy get ready for work.

Okay, okay, it's my turn to talk about my Thanksgiving adventure. I'm another kitty who stayed upstairs when the original meal took place. I'm shy and I don't act like Landy and Sampy by sitting on Mommy's friends' or relatives' laps. I stay on the bed most of the time.

In fact, Mommy came upstairs with Mary and I was on top of the master bedroom bed. I didn't run and I let her pet me. For me, that's an accomplishment. Much better than Merl, I'll say.

As to getting any turkey on Thanksgiving, Landy scarfed up the pieces Mommy set aside for the rest of us. We got our share the next day and today. It was still yummy! I LOVE turkey! I hope Mommy has more on Christmas!!

Lastly, early on Thanksgiving day, Mommy did a lot of house cleaning and took out the trash. When she came back inside from taking out the trash, an autumn leaf stuck to her shoe, and fell off onto the kitchen floor. I found it and played with it as if it was the bestest toy mousie in the world. Landy heard me jumping around and came to investigate what was making me have the "cat crazies". He was captivated by my antics and at the same time, he looked at me as if I had lost my marbles. He sniffed a small piece of the leaf that I bit off and walked away mumbling, "leaves make lousy toys as they always rip"!

I don't care. I love to play with leaves and wish Mommy would let me outside so I could really have some fun!

Anyway, that's my Thanksgiving story. Enjoy! I hope everycat had a pawsome and safe Thanksgiving!

We got a cool present a couple of days ago from the "Secret Santa". It was a cute Catmas Calvin Collar! Geeeee- I wonder who the "Secret Santa" is! MOL! It's really nice and Mommy's going to take our photos soon sporting the festive collar! Purrhaps, tomorrow would be a good day for a photo shoot.

Also, Mommy's been feeling awful lately because she's been having RA flares. Whatever that is. I hope I never get that! What does RA mean? Raccoon Attitude? The way Mommy was acting this morning because of the pain she was in sounded like a screeching raccoon, and that got Landy meowing back at her. The rest of us ran and hid 'till she calmed down.

She managed to go grocery shopping, and when she came back, she took a two hour nap. She then got up and took more meds for the pains that were in her wrists, knee, neck and back. As of now, she feels a bit better.

Meanwhile, we're purring for our Mommy as she's the one who feeds us, changes our litterboxes, and gives love and a roof over our heads.

So, that's about it from me for tonight. Hopefully, we can write more in our diaries than we've been doing lately.

Our old sister, queen of the house, is DDP today! I say "Woo-Hoo" to her on behalf of all of us.

The other news around here: We had two chicken pawties; one on Thursday and one on Friday. I'll tell you, I tried my best to grab the most pieces of that yummy chicken!

Also, Mommy went to a CFA cat show today. It was held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 4H building in Gaithersburg, MD. This show hasn't been held there for four years. Angel Bentley used to rake in the rosettes at this show, and Merl, Sampy and I've done so too.

Also, Mommy spoke to a lady she knew from previous shows; her cats competed with us several times. She told Mommy this show will be held at the fairgrounds again next year. So it looks like Landy and I will be back in the show business! How about that!!

As to the cats at the show, there were purebreds and household pets (we're under this catagory). Mommy says there were a lot of beautiful cats, shorthairs and big floofy ones! One of the household pets was a Maine Coon mix and he was 18 lbs and gray like me. He wasn't a happy camper either. He didn't hiss nor growl, he just had this mean look on his face and kept sticking out his tongue and licking his top lip. I've seen kitties do this when they're not happy. I bet he was happy when the show was over.

Anyway, it's cold and I'm going back to bed in the master bedroom. I'm pretty sure Landy will want to cuddle with me.

First of all, I enjoyed Halloween from the master bedroom windowsill perch. I didn't hide under the bed this year either. Merl, I understand, hid under the living room couch, Cam stayed in her corner, Landy was put in the large cat carrier, and Sampy slept in front of the living room vent. Landy wanted to sneak out the door a lot of times so Mommy put him in the carrier instead of carrying him upstairs to the master bedroom.

Also, enjoy Mommy's pic she drew of me yesterday. This is her first try at drawing me. She did it with a charcoal pencil which is hard. She prefers #2 pencils for drawing anything.

Lastly, Willow (a/k/a Torbie Sue)was hanging out in our backyard early this afternoon, and she had a lot of admirers: Me, Merl, Landy and Sampy. Sampy sang to her: Yak, yak, yak. She didn't care for that at all and growled at him. When Merl peeked through the back storm door, and waved at her (I did the same thing) she looked at us funny and backed up a bit. She was ready to bolt.

Also, Willow is a very affectionate kitty and let Mommy pet her a lot. In return, she rubbed on Mommy's feet.

After Willow left the back porch, Mommy came back in. She said Willow is all floof! In fact, Mommy picked her up to find out how heavy she was. Not. She's lighter than Cam. Perhaps around 7-8 lbs.

Lastly, our Thanksgiving pages are finally done! It took quite some time.

I hope everycat has had a pawsome weekend!

Can you believe it was snowing yesterday? Snow before Halloween is a total oddity in our neck of the woods. Mommy told me that she remembered only one snow before Christmas and that was Thanksgiving of 1991.

Because of this way too soon winter-type weather, I'm holding onto my floof; it's getting pretty thick. I look like a big wooly-bully! MOL!

Also, as Landy mentioned, Mommy got some new snow boots yesterday. The box they came in was huge! In fact, she left the box on her bed for a bit, and I decided to take a nap in it. I found it was very comfy!

As to today, there is no snow on the ground. Instead we have our very first frost. You can now say there's "frost on the pumpkin"! MOL! I truly believe we're headed for another winter of many "snowmageddons" like in 2010. I think this October is the shape of things to come . . . .

Woo-Hoo! Landy's in the Diary Spotlight today! He wrote about playing with his Catmas toys and it's not even Halloween yet! Silly guy! Anyway, it went over big with the Diary Gal.

I, too, like him am purraying for more of that yummy salmon tonight!

I got to run and let Mommy have her breakfast . . .

I just wrote another nice diary and the fleas took it away again! I thought this issue had been resolved! I guess not. The next time I write a good long diary I'm going to save it in Word Perfect in case the Catster fleas strike again . .

Anyway, my diary that got sucked up by the fleas, by memory is . .

Yesterday Mommy went to Petsmart in Laurel to get us more food and litter. Whenever she goes there, she has to look at the shelter adoptees they have from Last Chance Animal Rescue (this is where I was rescued from back in May 2005).

Anyway, one kitten caught her attention. It was a little girl who was a gray (blue) ball of floof just like me with a little bit of white on her muzzle and green eyes. She meowed happily through the glass while Mommy looked in at her. Mommy also said she would have named her "Jenny Gray Cloud". OMC!! MOL! Mommy's on a trip!!!

Anyway, Mommy didn't get her as reality came up front and told her that five cats were enough for her right now especially with Sampy's heart problems, special food for Merl and other expenses. Instead she's praying that the little one and the other kitties all find loving homes.

Lastly, Mommy bought a DVD of the movie "Paranormal Activity" which turned out to be quite scary and creepy. The ending made her jump. When she went to bed she heard noises downstairs around 3:00 a.m. (just like in the movie). Except this was Merl having the cat crazies and not a demon. We all know it was Merl as a head count was taken by Mommy when she heard this noise.

Anyway, I'm praying that this diary saves. If not, it's backed up on Word Perfect. MUWAAAAAHHH!

First of all, my girl COLLEEN, is one of the Diary Picks today! I'm so proud of her and I hope her Meowmy throws her a chicken pawty today! I know Colleen LOVES chicken (so do I). In fact, my Mommy owes me some chicken. We haven't had that in quite some time; lots of salmon pawties though!

This is the first week that the Catster fleas seem to be gone. HQ's techno cats must have used tons of strong flea powder on those nasty pests! They're gone so far! It's so pawsome that I was able to give my girl a jack-o-lantern and a comment without being told to "logon" a gazillion times!

Also, Mommy has another "staycation". Of course, she has the regular weekend and added Monday and Tuesday to make a four day weekend. She plans on going shopping and doing house cleaning (oh no, here comes that scary monster the vacuum cleaner), and laundry. She also has to finish up the seasonal clothing change. She's done everything except taking out the super winter clothes which are in the big trunk.

Also, on Tuesday, she has an art class at the Prince George's Community College (Laurel branch). In this class, she will be drawing with pencil and charcoal. She used to draw a lot when she was in her teens and twenties and after that she got into other things such as writing and crocheting. She wants to revive her drawing talent.

Also, somecat was hacking and wheezing while Mommy was downstairs. When she came upstairs, Sampy and I were the only cats awake and we were fine. She thinks one of us was ready to launch a hairball.

Lastly, it's cold today. Mommy still has the heat on. No open windows for us today. Bummer!!!

Well, that about it from me. Now let's see if this diary saves. Everything else is working normal so far . . .
