JANUARY 1, 2012

What a way to start the New Year . . .Yikes . . . Mommy gave me a nail trim! That was uncalled for! Poor me, Poor Landy and poor Merl had to deal with this. I suppose Sampy and Cammie will have their fun time tomorrow.

Anyway,I hope everycat and their families had a safe and pawsome New Year's Day! We did except for those nail trims!

Mommy stayed in last night and likewise did today. She spent the whole day loading up something called an IPod and shredding junk mail. These two projects did take up the whole day with meal breaks.

During her "staycation" she went shopping. She also had the car and the vacuum cleaner in the shop. She went out to eat a lot, went to her brother's two days after Catmas, and also she bought a bunch of DVD's (three "Twilight" series and "Super 8". Sampy, Merl and Landy stayed downstairs for all the movies. I stayed upstairs as I don't like to watch movies. I'm into the music only.

Lastly, tomorrow and Tuesday Mommy has off work so she'll be taking down the tree.

Anyway, I'm going to close now as I'm getting tired again.

Purrs & Breeps to all,

Bail

THIS CATMAS EVE

Last week, Santa Paws had a little tree-lighting pawty up the street. This week he cruised our neighborhood in his shiny red fire engine which emitted loud wails and honks. In fact, he went right by our house! Of course, my sibs and I were too scared to look out the window as the noise was too loud for our delicate kitty ears! Mommy was the one who did, and she told us she saw him in his red suit! He even had two elves with him!

Also, I, who was on Mommy's bed near the window, could hear him wish everyone Merry Catmas between the wailing sirens and horns blowing.

On that note, I wish everycat and their pawrents a very Merry Catmas!

Also, thank you HQ for the free-bee miseltoe! How pawsome is that? We gave some away and plan on giving some more tonight and tomorrow. I also thank our friends for the miseltoe gifts that arrived today!

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF WINTER!

This is surely a happy first day of winter! We're having unseasonably warm temps right now! Today will hit 60 degrees! Can you believe that? Tomorrow will be around 50 degrees and they expect us to have a 50 degree Catmas! No white Catmas for us and Mommy's glad of that because Auntie Mary won't be able to come by if there's a lot of snow.

Also, it should be Friday today. Mommy almost thought it was several times as this has been a long week.

Next week, Mommy has her Catmas "staycation" which will consist of a visit to an orthopedic surgeon for her bad knee and possibly an MRI (what's that???) during that week too. This MRI will tell just what's going on inside her knee and if she'll need total knee replacement or an arthroscopic proceedure. She hopes it's the latter. So do us kitties as she'll not have to be in the hospital as long.

Anyway, I'll be on my way so I can chase Landy up the stairs or some type of early morning exercise.

Purrs & Breeps to all,

SANTA PAWS COMES TO COLLEGE PARK & HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOMMY

OMC! There was the screech of fire engines and children yelling and running down the street. Yes, Santa Paws is in College Park right now and he came by fire engine! He will turn on the tall community tree while the neighbors and their children stand around and watch. Hot chocolate and goodies are passed amoungst everyone. This is always a small pawty lasting only one half hour.

Mommy went once when she was much younger. Also, this is the first year they've had this celebration as there was road construction and big trenches dug to put in drainage pipes.

Anyway, all's quite now and the tree should be lit up really pretty. Mommy's going to look out the back bedroom window to see if she can see the tree.

Lastly, our tree is up in the computer room. Mommy promissed me she'd let me see it soon. I'm one of the lucky kitties as I don't mess with trees.

Well, I got to run as dinner will be served soon.

Happy Birthday Mommy!!!

THE TWELVE DAYS OF CATMAS

December 13th 2011 4:16 am

I'm trying my best to get Mommy into the Catmas spirit. She's depressed and stressed about her job (nasty, control freak boss who expects her to snitch on her co-workers and his partners) and that's not good and discolors everything. She wants to retire but can't at this time, even though her retirement $$$ will be arriving early next year. Without her job, she'll have to sell her house because the retirement $$$ can't pay for everything plus the mortgage. Now if she had a husband, she would retire.

So, I'm posting this "The Twelve Days of Catmas" early. This was done last year with the help of some of Mommy's FB friends and Catster friends:

On the first day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, one salmon fillet!

On the second day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, two furry mice and one salmon fillet."

On the third day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet!"

On the forth day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, four bags of catnip, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet!

On the fifth day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, five crinkle tunnels, four bags of catnip, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet!

On the sixth day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, six cans of Tiki Cat, five crinkle tunnels, four bags of catnip, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet"

On the seventh day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, seven pom-pom balls, six cans of Tiki Cat, five crinkle tunnels, four bags of catnip, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet!

On the eighth day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, eight scratching posts, seven pom-pom balls, six cans of Tiki Cat, five crinkle tunnels, four bags of catnip, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet!

On the ninth day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, nine scrunchy balls, eight scratching posts, seven pom-pom balls, six cans of Tiki Cat, five crinkle tunnels, four bags of catnip, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet!

On the tenth day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, ten kitty-dancers, nine scrunchy balls, eight scratching posts, seven pom-pom balls, six cans of Tiki Cat, five crinkle tunnels, four bags of catnip, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet!

On the eleventh day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me, eleven fleece blankies, ten kitty-dancers, nine scrunchy balls, eight scratching posts, seven pom-pom balls, six cans of Tiki Cat, five crinkle tunnels, four bags of catnip, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet!

On the twelfth day of Catmas my Mommy gave to me twelve cat condos, eleven fleece blankies, ten kitty-dancers, nine scrunchy balls, eight sctaching posts, seven pop-pom balls, six cans of Tiki Cat, five crinkle tunnels, four bags of catnip, three balls of string, two furry mice, and one salmon fillet!

I hope this cheers Mommy up. I don't like seeing her feel awful all the time.

HAVING SOME FUN!

Early this afternoon, I had some fun! Yep, Mommy went outside to take out the garbage and another autumn leaf stuck to her shoe and so happened to drop on the kitchen floor. I found it, picked it up in my mouth and ran off with it. Eventually, I dropped it on the dining room floor! Boy was that fun!

Also, Mommy's been trying to get into the Christmas spirit. She even played Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" on her computer a little bit ago. She just found the CD called "Christmas Extraordinaire" by Manheim Steamroller. She believes she has a CD by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, but hasn't found it yet. Also, she did our pages and even put up the same new no. 1 pics on FB.

Still, she has yet to go Christmas shopping. She always saves that for the last week as money is short until her Christmas bonus comes in. I don't think we'll get a new cat tree this year as we got one last year. Those things are so expensive!

Anyway, Merl is driving us all crazy by rattling the computer room door. Mommy doesn't let him in there much at all as he still likes to jump upon the display case that holds her antique kitty cat figurines.

Well, I'm going to sign off. Have a pawsome night.

LANDY DOES IT AGAIN!

Landy's on a roll! He's got two Diary Pics in a row! Boy oh boy is he lucky! Maybe he ought to play the lottery too. We need some extra Catmas money this year anyway!!! MOL!

Also, I spent the whole night sleeping on the windowsill perch while my three brothers slept in bed with Mommy. It has to be very cold before I pile up in the bed like that! My floof is like wearing a down coat all the time so I'm pretty warm in the 40-60 degree weather.

Anyway, I got to run. Have a pawsome day, everycat!

SURPRISE!

First of all, we had a small salmon pawty! I managed to have a couple pieces.

Afterwards, I followed Mommy upstairs into the computer room. She sat down and I noticed she had a dish with something in it. I then surprised her and jumped into her lap. I never done this before in my entire six years. I wanted to see what she was eating, that's why. And then she told me I couldn't have any of her "Chuncky Monkey" as it had chocolate in it.

Oh well, I took her word for it and jumped off her lap and onto her bed.

She's now watching a movie called "The Fugative" and I'm ready to take a nappy. Goodnight, everycat!

BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

November 30th 2011 4:03 am

The cold weather is back! We had Sunday and Monday wherein Mommy had TWO open windows upstairs for us kitties to enjoy the 70 degree temps. Today, it's only 40 degrees,so no more open windows for some time unless we have another heat wave.

Tomorrow is December 1st! That means Catmas is not too far away. Hint, hint, hint Mommy! That means our Thanksgiving decor has to be replaced by that of Catmas. More new pics too. She did photo three of us wearing the Calvin Collar and those were shown on FB so far. She told me those will be added to our Catster pages.

Also, one neighbor put up his Catmas decorations already. He won't be lighting them until a week before Catmas. That's the "hubcap" tree and bicycle wheel snowmen! One of us mentioned this last year. A few days ago, Mommy got a pretty good pic of said tree and posted it on FB! She didn't think the guy would put it up this year as some sorry-type kids vandalized it last year.

Anyway, I got to run and let Mommy get ready for work.

Purrs & Breeps,

Bail

MY THANKSGIVING

November 26th 2011 6:40 pm

Okay, okay, it's my turn to talk about my Thanksgiving adventure. I'm another kitty who stayed upstairs when the original meal took place. I'm shy and I don't act like Landy and Sampy by sitting on Mommy's friends' or relatives' laps. I stay on the bed most of the time.

In fact, Mommy came upstairs with Mary and I was on top of the master bedroom bed. I didn't run and I let her pet me. For me, that's an accomplishment. Much better than Merl, I'll say.

As to getting any turkey on Thanksgiving, Landy scarfed up the pieces Mommy set aside for the rest of us. We got our share the next day and today. It was still yummy! I LOVE turkey! I hope Mommy has more on Christmas!!

Lastly, early on Thanksgiving day, Mommy did a lot of house cleaning and took out the trash. When she came back inside from taking out the trash, an autumn leaf stuck to her shoe, and fell off onto the kitchen floor. I found it and played with it as if it was the bestest toy mousie in the world. Landy heard me jumping around and came to investigate what was making me have the "cat crazies". He was captivated by my antics and at the same time, he looked at me as if I had lost my marbles. He sniffed a small piece of the leaf that I bit off and walked away mumbling, "leaves make lousy toys as they always rip"!

I don't care. I love to play with leaves and wish Mommy would let me outside so I could really have some fun!

Anyway, that's my Thanksgiving story. Enjoy! I hope everycat had a pawsome and safe Thanksgiving!

Bail
