Funny title and of course what happened to poor Merl and I isn't funny. See Merl's Diary today about what Landy did to his left ear during an altercation. Of course some of this is Merl's fault as he has a habit of pinning Landy down. Mommy was witness to those type of fights and has broken them up before they got worse.

Anyway, Merl's ear is doing better.

As to my eye, it's better too. On Saturday, before the vet's appointment, my eye was red and leaking some gooey stuff. The vet took a stain of my eye and found no ulcers which is good. She told Mommy my eye may have an infection in it or maybe pink eye. She prescribed the same type of ointment I had several years ago when I had pink eye. I have to have this stuff put into my eye twice a day for one week. I don't like the way it feels in my eye and I tried to rub it off this morning.

Anyway, if this eye issue doesn't clear up in a week, I'm to go back to the vet for further care. I surely hope it doesn't come down to that.

Well, that's about it from me. Good night,everycat!

Now it's my turn with a runny eye. Mine, of course, looks worse than Bail's did. I'm squinting my right eye and it looks red and had some gooey stuff in the corner near my nose. Mommy has scheduled an appointment with the vet for me tomorrow.

I hope the nasty pink eye isn't back. Wish me luck.

Hey, everycat! I know, I know, we haven't been writing in over a week. It's been awfully busy with Thanksgiving and all. Now, Christmas is just around the bend, so our pages are under construction for that pawsome holiday. Last night, Joss' page was done (except she has two more cool pics to add).

This morning, Mommy's pretty much done with my page too. Bail has his background and that's it for now. We have a new pic to add which is compliments of Auntie Dana (she's the one who gives us really pawsome pics when we get diary honors).

Anyway, on Thanksgiving, Auntie Mary stopped by and of course, me and Landy know her well so there was no problem. Bail, of course was a bit shy and Merlin started coming around (he finally pushed past his fear of other people in the house besides Mommy). He let Auntie Mary pet him twice and he also stayed downstairs next to the coffee table instead of hiding under the couch or bed. As to Joss, she thought she was seeing two Mommies for a minute and got a little scared. It didn't take her long to warm up to Auntie Mary either as she has a cat named Kali (Merl's sister) who looks like a bigger version of Joss.

The whole house smelt of roasting hen while it was cooking. Unfortunately, us kitties didn't get any even though we begged for it. Mommy said some stuff called white Zinfandel was poured on the hen before it was cooked and she didn't think it would be wise to even let us have a taste. When the hen was cooked and the vegetables were prepared, they bagged it all up and took it away. I later found out they took it all to Auntie Mary's Dad's house and ate the meal over there. When they got back, part of the hen was given to Mommy along with some of the veggies.

Still there are leftovers which Mommy has been eating all weekend.

Lastly, Joss is getting bigger by the minute. As you can see by a lot of her newer pics, she has a lot of Maine Coon in her. Her ears are pointed and long (not rounded and small like Bail's). She also has those well-known "owl eyes" which is another Maine Coon trait.

Landy is giving Joss the "brush off" lately and hisses at her. I suppose he's telling her she's getting too big to launch herself at him all the time. When she was a little tyke, he was able to volley playtime with her better.

So now, guess who she's been launching herself at lately?? Me, of course as I'm bigger than Landy. Oh boy!!! Am I in for a treat!

Well, that's about it for now. It's heart medication time!

Thank you Diary Gal for honoring me as one of the Diary Picks today! Woo-Hoo!

I also thank my pawsome friends for their gifts & concats:

1. MILO - yummy turkey leg and cool comment;
2. TATE - yummy pumpkin pie & cool comment;
3. JASPER - cool comment;
4. ANGEL BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
5. SMILEY CASSANOVA - pawsome pawmail.

Also, it's been a busy day for Mommy so far. First, she had to take Bail to the vet today because his left eye was running. It turns out that he didn't have pink eye. The vet thinks something "flew" in his eye and whatever it was, disappeared.

Also, she had to go to the MVA to get her license renewed.

Anyway, she'll be back home soon to finish our pages and Bail and others, I'm certain, have something to say.

I can't believe that Halloween has come and gone and now Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

Oh by the way, I'm still doing fine and am back to my normal self except for the bald chest the cardiologist gave me when he did the echocardiogram last month. Because of the baldness, I get colder and have been cuddling with Landy more, camping out in front of the dining room vent or laying in the fleece lined cat bed. I hope my chest floof grows back soon!

Also, I concat Joss and Bail on the Diary luck they've been having this month. I think the Diary Gal loves them both!

Well, it's time to go back on the vent until my heart meds time.

Hurricane Sandy is on its way. Right now, it's been raining all day and the wind has been picking up. Mommy is watching the news on Channel 5 which is updating the storm continuously. We're supposed to get the brunt of this storm between 6:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. We do expect to lose power some time during these hours. Of course, we plan to camp out in the living room to be safe just in case one of the trees come down.

Right, now one of the redbud trees keep banging on the side of the house. We hope and pray this tree doesn't come down like part of it did during June 29th's derecho.

Alright, Mother Nature! What gives with all these violent storms in the past several years?

We will hunker down and ride this storm out just like we did with Isabel, Irene and the derecho. We pray that we, our neighbors, and all people in the path of nasty Sandy (a killer storm a/k/a Frankenstorm; a storm of tremendous magnitude).

Pepco Holdings have called in extra help for when these power outages occur.

We just had a small power surge right now so I'm going to post this before I lose it . . .

First of all, many of you may know that on the morning of my cardiologist visit, I barfed up bile and refused my breakfast. I was super grumpy when the doctor shaved my chest and he had to mildly sedate me. I didn't have to listen to his silly machine nor feel that probe on my chest.

Anyway this is the assessment written on the cardiologist's report: "The echocardiogram continues to show evidence of restrictive cardiomyopathy. The left atrial size is larger than last time, and this probably denotes progression of the heart disease. Today he was less cooperative, and a bit dehydrated. We gve him 100 mls of SQ fluids after the exam. Overall the heart function still appears stable and not close to the development of clinical signs. For now there is no need to adjust medicatin. Recommend to monitor, if the appetite continues to be poor please check with College Park AH for complete blood work."

There above, it is in a nutshell.

Last night I ate a little bit of dinner, and this morning I ate more breakfast (didn't clean my plate though . . . I never do that anyway). I'm more myself today and have been meowing, holding my head up more and even licking Landy and Mommy. I even gave Joss a little lick on the top of her head.

Mommy and I thank everycat and their parents for purrs on prayers here and on FB! It works!

Also, I thank the Diary Gal for choosing Bail and I as Diary Picks today. Also, our little friend ZOEY is in the limelight with us. Concats, ZOEY!

I also thank my pawsome friends for their concats, Halloween gifts and healing gifts as follows:

1. ANGEL BUDDIE & Family - lovely blue healing rosette and pawsome
2. TATE - scary ghost;
3. TONY & ANNA - lovely blue rosette;
4. TINY & TIGER - cool pumpkin & cool comment;
5. SAMOA - cool comment;
6. XENA WARRIOR PRINCESS - cool comment;
7. SMILEY CASSANOVA - pawsome pawmail.

I have a visit with the cardiologist tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.for my yearly echocardiogram. I don't like going there as I have to get my chest shaved again! How embarrassing! I also don't like being held down by the tech (even though she's nice) and having the cardiologist rub that probe back and forth over my chest while his silly machine records what my heart is doing. It makes a funny whooshing noise which is my heart beating through the machine!

I'll be glad when it's over with! Last year, I had to be sedated during part of the echocardiogram as I wiggled too much. I hope I don't get sedated this year as the stuff he gave me left me way too zonked out!

Anyway, purrs are appreciated for my heart to still be stabilized. I've been on the Sotolol and Enalapril since September 2009 without having to have the doses or type of meds changed.

Also, little Joss is getting bigger with each passing day! She tries to jump on me and all I do is trill at her and walk away. I don't want to be mean so I sing to her. I don't like to be jumped on and that's when Landy comes in really handy. Landy and Joss are the purrfect playmates.

Lastly, we're starting to work on our Halloween pages. It's going to take some time though.

First of all I concat our new sis, Jocelyn Mae a/k/a Joss, sometimes we call her "Jazz-Lynn" or Jossie. Anyway, she's been writing a lot of diaries, much more than the rest of us. She's a bundle of energy and wants to play non-stop. I think she's really attached to me and Landy. She's also got these Ninja skills that she uses on us. She's even tried them on Merl and Bail. Mommy wanted to take a video last night, but unfortunately, the battery was dead.

Anyway, she's quite the opposite of Cam; she loves us all and is very social. She's not afraid of 17 lb Merl either. Poor Cam was scared of us getting too close to her as she grew up being the only cat from 1992 to 2000.

Still we miss old Cam and know that she is with many angels and young and healthy again. Jocelyn is her gift to us to help our family heal.

Today is a special day as Cam and I both are in the DDP lineup! Thank you Diary Gal for honoring us :)!

I also thank my pawsome friends as follows:

1. ANGEL BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail concats;
2. TATE - cool comment and pumpkin;
3. ANNA & TONY - cool acorn;
4. MILO BLUE EYES & Family - lovely red rose;
5. TIMMY TOMCAT & Family - pumpkin;
6. TABATHA - pawsome pawmail and lovely pic;
7. SMILE CASSANOVA - pawsome pawmail;
8. THE BUSH FURS - cool comment;
9. EDWINA - cool comment;
10. GRAZIE - cool comment.

Also, it's a rather cool day today as a cold front came through last night after the small storm we had yesterday afternoon. Mommy, as usual, got caught in this storm after shopping and getting her hair done in Laurel. On her way home, the sky opened up overhead, but to the sides, there were no clouds and the sun was shining. She called this a "dome" cloud. While it was still raining, the center of this dome-like cloud opened up and there was blue sky. The cloud then became a "doughnut cloud". She wanted to take a picture of this, but unfortunately by the time she could pull over, the cloud had changed it's shape.

Anyway, around 2:00 a.m. a strong wind came up and blew a lot of acorns off the big oak in our backyard. This morning, the squirrels are having a pawty!

Lastly, I still miss Cam and at the same time, I'm feeling better. During the earlier part of the week and last weekend, Bail and I were extra sad. Also, somecat, Mommy's not sure who, had a projectile barf on the litterbox room wall. It was a smelly mess and had also landed on the window/cabinet perch blankie and had dripped all the way down the wall onto the baseboard and floor. Mommy wasn't too happy to be cleaning it up when it was late at night.

Well, that's about it from me except we have to get our fall pages on. Mommy says this weekend and that's almost over with. She's now saying this evening she'll start working on them.

Purrs & Breeps to all,
