I extend my concats to our beloved angel Bentley on his Diary of the Day. He's been at the Bridge since May 23, 2005, and believe me, I still miss him and so does Mommy!

He was the first and only one of my sibs at that time who liked me. Max would have but he was too sick with cancer to pay me any mind. So, it was Bentley who became my best buddy in 1997 and was until he left us in 2005.

Also, Mommy just found out that her knee surgery is set for April 23, 2012! She also has a petsitter lined up and he'll be over on this Saturday to meet us kitties. He charges $20.00 a visit which is cheaper than the other place which charges $26.00 for the first cat and $2.00 for each extra (that's a big rip in the wallet!!). Also, this gentleman or his wife will be giving me my meds (good luck!!!).

Mommy tells me that she typed up feeding and pill-giving instructions for each of us so it'll be easier on the sitters. She even put our pictures on the instruction sheets.

Anyway, that's it for now.

Today is a nice sunny day. Not sure how warm it is though. Mommy has to go out to the car to get a thingy of kitty litter out of the trunk and she'll report to us soon. She thinks it's warm as she saw some people walk by on the bike path and they weren't dressed for cold weather.

Anyway, Bail and I were laying side-by-side in a sun patch in the spare bedroom (our litterbox room). We were enjoying this to the max.

Also, Mommy's knee has been aching and locking up all week. She can't wait until the surgery is over and done with. She's worried, of course, and she needs to get somebody lined up to take care me and my sibs while she's in the hospital. Since we live in a two story house, and Mommy has no husband nor roommate, she has to stay in the rehab center for 10-14 days. Believe me, she's worried and stressed about this whole thing and organizing stuff and getting the pre-op and the pre-op working out well. If her health isn't good enough to have an operation, she doesn't know what to do.

Anyway, she could use the purrs. All of us kitties could use them too because Mommy won't be home for 10-14 days, and we'll be scared and lonely.

Well, that's it for now. I hope everycat is having a pawsome weekend.

I'm a DDP today! This has been one busy month with all of us landing in the Diary Spotlight. Again, thank you Diary Gal for this pawsome honor!

I also thank my following friends for their gifts and concats:

1. MILO & MALLEE - yummy shrimp & cool comment;
2. PEACHES - cool comment;
3. BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
4. TABATHA - lovely pic & pawsome pawmail;
5. EMILY - cool comment;
6. NAVIN R. JOHNSON-DAVIS - lovely rainbow.

Also, Merl must keep in mind that when I'm nuzzled next to Mommy, he has to wait his turn! Yep, it's a territorial thing! I was there first and when I get up to leave, he can take over. Landy is the only one who I let share Mommy at the same time. Perhaps, it's because he's my best bro friend in the family.

Also, we have a lot of Zealies in our "trust account" and I'm thinking of how to disburse some of them. We may have a trivia contest and each question answered right will be worth 25 Zealies. Also, we're thinking of sending out ones to kitties who need a lot of purrs for their health issues. I'll post more on this subject during the weekend when Mommy has more time. She works all week and has a doctor's appt. tomorrow.

Hey, everycat! It's "Sampson S. McDollar" which is my Irish name for St. Patrick's Day. We will (finally) be getting our Irish on this weekend. That means our pages will be in full Irish decor along with some rocking Celtic music!

As to our other names:

Bailey G. McCloud;
Merlin O'Panther;
Camille Rose McGrumbles; and
Landy O'Crazy

Of course, our new Irish names fit our looks and/or purrsonalities!

As to my itchies; I think they've moved in for good. I still itch even though it's less. Less itchies are better than total itchies! At least my hair is getting longer in spots that I used to lick and scratch at.

Lastly, the wind outside's been howling since 8:00 p.m. last night. Then it stopped around 1:00 a.m. and now it's back at almost 9:00 a.m. today! We don't like very windy days around here as the power tends to go out. So far, we've been lucky!

Well, that's it from me for today.

Purrs & Breeps & have a pawsome weekend, everycat!

I concat Cam on behalf of myself and the others! Way to go, Sis!!

Does everycat know that Cam and I are almost friends? She and I have sat side-by-side a lot of times while Mommy brushed us. Neither of us attacked the other nor hissed. Also, I trill every time when I come into her room to visit her.

I think Cam realizes I'm an Olde Furt too and have a hard time moving around due to that nasty old "Arthur Itis" just as she does.

As to Landy, she hates his guts! She hisses every time he looks at her.

Anyway, I'm going to keep this one short. It's medication time.

I can't figure out why the itchies are still around. Today, they're less than yesterday and the day before. Last night, I was itching up a storm. It was awful! I shook and rocked Mommy's bed with my licking and scratching.

Hopefully, those itchies will not bother me when it's time to go to bed.

Also, I hope everycat had a great Valentine's Day. Even Mommy had a phone call from a gentleman who will be meeting her on Saturday. Hopefully, he'll work out. He loves cats and dogs even though he only has a dog. He used to have cats in his past.

That's about it. I feel a nap coming on.

I'm bringing in February with the first diary pick in our family. My bros, Landy and Bailey took over January or was it Merl and Bailey? Anyway, thank you Diary Gal for liking my Friday's entry about the dog food issue! I bet she was rollin' when she read that!

Also, I'm sharing the limelight with our dear friend VIOLET! How about that! Thank you Diary Gal for picking him too!

I also thank my pawsome friends for their concats as follows:

1. BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
2. VIOLET - cool comment;
3. MILO, MALLEE & Family - purrty red rosette & cool comment;
4. TABATHA - beautiful pic & pawsome pawmail;
5. THE BUSH FURS - purrty blue rosette;
6. ZEKE - cool comment;
7. PHARAOH PURRINCE TAO - cool comment.

Well, the dog food issue's all solved. It wasn't the receptionist who put Mommy's last name on the bag of dog food, it was one of the techs. It was the receptionist and Mommy who also took part in this big unawareness issue by not noticing it either. It took three humans to mess it up! Typical humans! At least Mommy caught it before she opened the bag and again before I chewed on it.

Lastly, I hope the sun comes out today. It's been a dreary and damp weekend so far. No snow though!

Mommy and the receptionist at the vet's have CRS (can't remember stuff(I cleaned this part up)because of giving and bringing home a large bag of dog food when only cats live here!

MOL! I'm so glad we have some Royal Canin left over for cats. This was a funny adventure for tonight (see Merl's entry plus that of Mommy's on FB). We all needed a good laugh, didn't we? Next time, Mommy and the receptionist have to look closer at the bag of food and make sure there's no doggie pic on the front!

Also, I'm glad I didn't chew holes in the bag like I'm known to do some times.

Lastly, my itchies are still around and at the same time, they are much less than the last time I wrote.

Have a nice weekend, everycat!

I didn't have many itchies when Mommy came home from work today. Hopefully, they'll be gone soon.

Also, tomorrow is Friday! It took a long time getting here! Mommy's glad of that as she worked overtime for two days straight. That meant us kitties getting our canned food later than usual and her eating her dinner later too. Of course, she always leaves us dry food and water.

Well, that's about it. I'm tired.

First of all, I extend our belated concats to Merl for his DDP yesterday.

Secondly, here is an update on my "itchies":

I still itch, but not as much. Mommy told me she called the vet's office and the lady there said it takes 4-6 weeks for the itchies to go away. At first, she and I thought the duck and pea was faster acting than 4-6 weeks.

Hopefully, within another 5 weeks, I shall be itch free. If not, I'm allergic to something else around the house or maybe it's stress since our angel Bentley left us in 2005 (this is when the itchies first appeared).

Lastly, the cold weather is back after 60 degrees on Tuesday. In fact, they're expecting a winter mix starting Friday night.

Mommy's crossing her fingers and praying that her car starts as on Monday, it didn't. She's not sure why other than there was moisture or ice in the gas tank. The battery was fine as the radio, wipers and lights were working.

Anyway, I must go now. I'm tired after having a nice breakfast.
