I concat Cam on behalf of myself and the others! Way to go, Sis!!

Does everycat know that Cam and I are almost friends? She and I have sat side-by-side a lot of times while Mommy brushed us. Neither of us attacked the other nor hissed. Also, I trill every time when I come into her room to visit her.

I think Cam realizes I'm an Olde Furt too and have a hard time moving around due to that nasty old "Arthur Itis" just as she does.

As to Landy, she hates his guts! She hisses every time he looks at her.

Anyway, I'm going to keep this one short. It's medication time.

I can't figure out why the itchies are still around. Today, they're less than yesterday and the day before. Last night, I was itching up a storm. It was awful! I shook and rocked Mommy's bed with my licking and scratching.

Hopefully, those itchies will not bother me when it's time to go to bed.

Also, I hope everycat had a great Valentine's Day. Even Mommy had a phone call from a gentleman who will be meeting her on Saturday. Hopefully, he'll work out. He loves cats and dogs even though he only has a dog. He used to have cats in his past.

That's about it. I feel a nap coming on.

I'm bringing in February with the first diary pick in our family. My bros, Landy and Bailey took over January or was it Merl and Bailey? Anyway, thank you Diary Gal for liking my Friday's entry about the dog food issue! I bet she was rollin' when she read that!

Also, I'm sharing the limelight with our dear friend VIOLET! How about that! Thank you Diary Gal for picking him too!

I also thank my pawsome friends for their concats as follows:

1. BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
2. VIOLET - cool comment;
3. MILO, MALLEE & Family - purrty red rosette & cool comment;
4. TABATHA - beautiful pic & pawsome pawmail;
5. THE BUSH FURS - purrty blue rosette;
6. ZEKE - cool comment;
7. PHARAOH PURRINCE TAO - cool comment.

Well, the dog food issue's all solved. It wasn't the receptionist who put Mommy's last name on the bag of dog food, it was one of the techs. It was the receptionist and Mommy who also took part in this big unawareness issue by not noticing it either. It took three humans to mess it up! Typical humans! At least Mommy caught it before she opened the bag and again before I chewed on it.

Lastly, I hope the sun comes out today. It's been a dreary and damp weekend so far. No snow though!

Mommy and the receptionist at the vet's have CRS (can't remember stuff(I cleaned this part up)because of giving and bringing home a large bag of dog food when only cats live here!

MOL! I'm so glad we have some Royal Canin left over for cats. This was a funny adventure for tonight (see Merl's entry plus that of Mommy's on FB). We all needed a good laugh, didn't we? Next time, Mommy and the receptionist have to look closer at the bag of food and make sure there's no doggie pic on the front!

Also, I'm glad I didn't chew holes in the bag like I'm known to do some times.

Lastly, my itchies are still around and at the same time, they are much less than the last time I wrote.

Have a nice weekend, everycat!

I didn't have many itchies when Mommy came home from work today. Hopefully, they'll be gone soon.

Also, tomorrow is Friday! It took a long time getting here! Mommy's glad of that as she worked overtime for two days straight. That meant us kitties getting our canned food later than usual and her eating her dinner later too. Of course, she always leaves us dry food and water.

Well, that's about it. I'm tired.

First of all, I extend our belated concats to Merl for his DDP yesterday.

Secondly, here is an update on my "itchies":

I still itch, but not as much. Mommy told me she called the vet's office and the lady there said it takes 4-6 weeks for the itchies to go away. At first, she and I thought the duck and pea was faster acting than 4-6 weeks.

Hopefully, within another 5 weeks, I shall be itch free. If not, I'm allergic to something else around the house or maybe it's stress since our angel Bentley left us in 2005 (this is when the itchies first appeared).

Lastly, the cold weather is back after 60 degrees on Tuesday. In fact, they're expecting a winter mix starting Friday night.

Mommy's crossing her fingers and praying that her car starts as on Monday, it didn't. She's not sure why other than there was moisture or ice in the gas tank. The battery was fine as the radio, wipers and lights were working.

Anyway, I must go now. I'm tired after having a nice breakfast.

This morning the itchies were still here. Later on, I slept a lot so of course, I didn't itch. We'll see what the night brings.

Also, Mommy looked in a couple of Petsmarts for a cat throw that heats when a cat lays on it. Cam has one that her former Mommy got for her. Anyway, Mommy had no luck in finding one of those at Petsmart, so she ordered it from Doctors Foster and Smith online. They had one just like the one Cam has, but it looked bigger in the picture on their page unless a very small kitty was laying on it. She wanted to get me the gray leopard with black backside, but unfortunately, it was several weeks on back order. So, she ordered one just like Cam's tan leopard with tan backside.

These throws are good for kitties who need extra heat and also good for arthritic ones like Cam and I. Now, Mommy wishes they made those for humans. Perhaps she can get a large dog one for herself. MOL!

Lastly, I thank my pawsome friends who gave me purrs and concerns about my itchies and arthritis.

Anyway, I'll be on my way.

I hope everycat is having a great weekend.

"You get that itchy twitchy feeling (itchy twitchy feeling)
You start a-rockin' and a-reelin' (a-rockin' and a-reelin')
Soon your arms and legs are flapping
Like a hound dog mouth a yappin'
You're rockin' and a rollin'" from Bobby Henricks' "Itchy Twitchy Feeling that was out in 1958! Mommy says she remembers this song too.

Okay, Mommy this is NOT funny! My itching is not a rock and roll song! My itching, more than likely, is from the moist food that my sibs' have no problem with (Fancy Feast). Bail doesn't like it anyway, but the others swear by it. They love it and have no problems with it.

I do, as it makes me itch all over like I'm rockin' and a reelin' sometimes. Mommy feeds Merl, Landy and Cam first and then puts Merl's and Landy's dishes on the kitchen counter so I can't reach it. As to Cam's dish, she puts it farther into her corner so if I'd try to steal any of it, Cam would attack me.

My food RX is offered to me under supervision or in the computer room as Landy loves the stuff too and wants to steal it. He'll eat anything for sure!

I still itch, but not as much. Mommy thinks that maybe the Royal Canin SO makes me itch too. She's not too sure of that though. I'm not sure what can be done then as I'm prone to UTI's (I've had a nasty one in the past wherein I had to go the the ER).

Mommy will have to call the vet to see what to do next.

Keep the purrs coming, my friends.

Also, I wish Merl a happy 6th birthday and concat Bail on his DDP today! This calls for a chicken pawty. Unfortunately, the vet doesn't want me to have any treats either. That stinks!

Oh well, such is life!

Dr. McMichael says I have arthritis: my feet, hips and back
are tender to palpation;

I have a slight heart murmur (soft and no cause for worry);

My itching is not due to fleas (there were none on me), mites
he took a skin scrape for that and there were none either. I
possibly have a food allergy (my moist food as these itchies
were happening before I was on the Royal Canin SO. He
said those itching fits are called "hyperasthesia" (sp. ?)
wherein the cat itches so badly that they look like they're
having a seizure.

No, I'm not telling everycat to "duck and pee". This
is the bird mixed with the vegetable pea. This is one of
the RX foods that Dr. McMichael gave me to try out along
with something called "Z/D". So far, the duck and pea is
pretty good. I don't like the dry Z/D though. Yucky!!!
You know the duck and pea is good as Landy stole some
of it. He's such a pain when it comes to stealing others'
food being it Mommy's or ours!

So I could get used to eating my new food last night,
Mommy and I camped out in the computer room last night.
She wanted to monitor how much of this food I ate without
"you know who" stealing it. Of course, she had water and
my litterbox in the computer room too.

I thank the TABBIES O TROUT TOWN for their kind concats and
concerns. Mommy and I also thank all the Catster Moms
who showed their concerns for us on FB!

Lastly, the itchies have subsided. My fasting yesterday and
eating the duck and pea is so far working. Keep your paws crossed that this keeps up.

Mommy's really concerned about my compulsive licking and scratching. I favor my neck, underarms, and front feet. I itch like I have fleas, but I don't. Mommy combed me last night and other times too. Every time, she found no fleas nor their yucky dirt.

She called the vet today and will drop me off tomorrow morning for bloodwork, examination, and observation. I'll be there all day until she gets off work.

Maybe my blood work will tell what's wrong with me. She's never seen a cat itch so much and actually go into a fit of itching and scratching. It got so bad that I ran off the bed in hopes that I could shake those nasty itches off me! We don't know what's wrong with me and hope and pray it's nothing serious.

I surely could use the purrs at this time.

As to tonight, I'm doing better and I ate my dinner and took a long nap in the wicker basket near the living room vent.

Anyway, I'll keep everycat posted on the results of my vet visit tomorrow evening.
