Mommy didn't let me out in a couple of days because my allergy (whatever it is) was kicking up Sunday and Monday. She didn't let me out at all yesterday and today. Yesterday I really gave her a scare because I had a sneezing fit and I howled and my bad eye was shut. Mommy had to calm me down by giving me a "T-Touch" on my ears and stroking the sides of my neck, and sweet-talking to me.
Today, I'm doing pretty good and did not sneeze at all since she's been home. Of course, I wanted to sneak out when she fed Cammie and in order to stop me from running out the door, she put me in the cellar.
I guess I can kiss the idea of going outside bye-bye! Mommy knows best, I guess. Whatever's outside makes me sneeze. Perhaps the dried leaves or some type of weed that blooms toward late summer and throughout the fall. Last year the same thing happened to me and it was far worse.
Anyway, I'm going to go now and lay down in my cat tree and dream of Nala. I was hoping to hear from her, but she and Rips are not on line so I can't try it myself either.
Breep to everyone in Catsterland and good night.

Mommy got home late as she had dinner with her Dad at Bennegan's. No, she didn't bring home any salmon.
She also has to put some more gooey stuff in my eye as it's not doing so good. It's still red and it's been five days since I last saw the vet. Mommy's going to call the vet tomorrow (depending on how I'm doing).
Wish me luck. Nobody seems to know what I'm allergic to. All we know is it happens every late summer and throughout the fall.
I'm still thinking of Nala and I saw her diary and like what she wrote about me. I'd like to make a movie of myself for her, but Mommy doesn't know how to do the slideshow/video thing yet. She's rather new at website making.
So anyway, Nala if you tried to reach me, I'm sorry. Mommy just got home.
Breeps and purrs and sandpaper kisses to everybody and Nala.

Nala, who is Ripley's sister and I met at Nipfields Park today and had just a wonderful time. We jumped a bit on the trampoline and took a nice long stroll through the path, talked and watched the squirrels and birds. When we came back, we had a salmon party and packed ourselves with the salmon sandwiches Bail and I brought along and the salmon patties Rips brought. We, of course drank plenty of catnip cranberry juice.
We are great together and Nala asked if I would be her boyfriend and I said, "yes". I feel really great that we hit it off. This girl is really fun and she likes me even if I am seven years older.
I like her even if she's seven years younger.
When I got home, I let Mommy take my picture a few times, give me my medication and then I took a nice long nappy.
Merl, of course, was teasing me like he did with Bail: "Nala and Sampy sitting in a tree K I S S I N G!!" You know, the rest.
During my nap, I had very pleasant dreams about Nala and our fun time at Nipfields Park.
Got to go now and take another nap and have some more beautiful dreams of Nala.
Breep to everybody in Catsterland,

Hey, it's Sampy and my eye is still red. It's a tad better and it's got all that goo in it (medicine) so it looks watery. I can't wait until it gets better. My sneezing is almost gone. The vet said that I was to take the antihistamine (1/2 pill) twice a day for four days (today is the fourth day) and then give as needed. So, that's good. I don't have to take them twice a day anymore unless the sneezing comes back full force.
I'm to meet Nala at Nipfields Park tomorrow morning. I was there early today and she didn't show up until later. We keep missing each other. She did IM me so we did talk.
Anyway, I'm tired and am leaving the room right now to drift off to Judy Collins singing "Turn, Turn, Turn". Her voice is a lullaby to me.
Breep to all me Catster friends

Nala (Ripley's sister) and I talked yesterday! We had a nice talk and I find her to be a really nice girl. She's pretty too with a lot of red patches in her coat. She looks like a shorthair version of a sister I used to have named Jasmine Bibette. She has the "red blaze" on her nose as Jasmine did.
I love those "red blazes". My current sister Camille has one too.
Nala and I have a date perhaps early Sunday morning at Nipfields Park. I am looking forward to this and hope to see her then.
Looks like Bail and Colleen are doing great too! Poor Merl wants a kitten friend sooo much. I told him to put an add in his Diary for a kitten girlfriend. He said he would do so.
As to my eye, it's still red (maybe a little better). I'm still sneezing. I think this is the alergy I get every August through October. It is either the dried leaves or some weed that grows around that time. It might even be the bamboo that Rick next door uses as a fence between our house and his. See Merl's story "Attack of the Green Stalks" and I believe I did the sequel "Attack of the Green Stalks Part II" which refer to the bamboo.
I hope all these meds work because I'm already tired of it. Pills . . . yucky tasting and gooey crud in my eye just "don't get it". I want to get better soon.
Got to go now as Merl is breathing down my back so he can put in his kitten girlfriend request. Breep to all my Catster friends!

It's a blah, rainy, cruddy day in September. I swear it feels and looks like April!
Mommy gave me 1/2 pill this morning and I spit it back out. hehehehe! But then she put it back in my mouth and it disolved on my tongue. I made a face and Mommy picked me up and carried me to my bowl of dry food and told me to eat something to get the yucky taste out of my mouth. I did so.
No sooner did I regroup from that, she came at me with a tube of gooey crud and squeezed it into my left eyeball. No fun, at all, and to top it all, this ritual has to be repeated again tonight. I hate getting stuff wrong with my body.
This morning before the rain got too bad, Bail and I took a jog around Nipfields Park. Nobody was there. It's like we keep missing everyone. I did get a Paw Mail from Nala (Ripley's sister) wanting to meet me. I want to meet her too. I saw her website and she's a pretty patched tabby (torbie) and a younger girl. I like them younger.
Sooo anyway, I hope our timing works out when we're both at the park the same time.
Got to go now and breep at everyone later.

Sorry, it's rather on the late side. Mommy was gone part of the day and then her Dad came over and after the chicken party, they defragmented the computer.
So here I am now with my update on my vet visit:
1. I now weigh 12.8 lbs (I gained);
2. My temperature is normal;
3. My heart and lungs sound good;
4. I had one bad tooth but it fell out on it's own and the infection that was in it
had gone away from the last batch of antibiotics I was given;
5. I have an alergy which we think is to dried leaves;
6. I have one RED eye (left one under the lid) and vet isn't sure if it's an
allergy or if I got something in it;
7. The vet prescribed an ointment for the red eye (twice a day);
8. I was also prescribed an antihistamine for the allergy (1/2 pill twice daily).
So that's the results of my physical. The vet said he didn't have to take any blood now, but would like to some time soon.
So, I'm thankful that I'm doing pretty good and so is Mommy.
Got to go now. Just thought I'd let everybody know that I'm pretty healthy for an older guy.
Breep to all my Catster friends,

Tomorrow, first thing in the a.m. I go to the vet. I'm not too excited about this either. They're going to give me a complete physical and I mean complete and as I am a senior cat they will want my blood too.
I hope everything goes okay and so does Mommy.
I know my alergies are kicking up again as I'm sneezing a lot (nothing like last year August, September October) but it's happening and Mommy's concerned. I also licked off a bunch of fur at the base of my tail and tummy. Something's making me itch and nobody ever found out for sure. I'm wearing the flea protection stuff so it's not fleas. I was prescribed prednisolone (similar to prednisone) for what the vet thought were alergies. I hope I don't have to go that route again. I hate pills even though I'm the best cat to give a pill to (I don't put up much of a fight and spit the pills out like Bentley used to).
Anyway, wish me luck tomorrow.
Breep to all my Catster friends and enjoy your day.

I was outside with Mommy when she did some early morning yard work. She had two big paper bags from Home Depot and filled them with twigs. If I were a dog I would have had the most enjoyable time playing with all THESE TWIGS. Twigs of all sizes and shapes she packed into these bags. There were two HUGE ones which I believe are called limbs. She dragged them across the yard and placed them across the street for the trash men.
It was fun watching. I'm inside now of course dictating this. My meowting was most pleasureable today even though the sun isn't out. It's not raining yet and it's not hot either.
I'm glad Mommy's home today. My brothers and I really miss her when she has to work all week long.
We'll enjoy it while we can and so will she.
Later. We all may take a trip to Nipsfield Park later on today.
Breep to all my Catster friends,
Sampy =^ . .^=
P.S. There will be a photo shoot today.

Mommy came home from her picknic/cook-out with her Dad, his second wife, brother and sister-in-law. They had quite a spread of goodies, but Mommy only brought home bread, cake, soda and pretzels. All the other stuff stayed at the campground or was consumed by everybody.
SHE DID NOT BRING HOME ANY MEAT OR FISH. That's not good, not good at all.
Anyway, she fed us boys our cat food and when she opened the door to bring Cammie her dish, I flew out. Mommy tried to get me, but I tore across the yard, down the driveway to the front of the house.
Fifteen minutes later I was enticed back in by Mommy shaking a bag of catnip before me. It always works. I just can't seem to resist that nip!
Well, I must go for now. I feel a nappy coming on.
Breep to all my Catster friends
