Here's an update sent via Mommy's iPhone: She's doing okay & the swelling has gone down on her knee. Intense P.T. starts tomorrow.

Us kitties are doing fine. The pet sitter, Peggy, managed to lure Merl out from the bed with nip. Auntie Mary stopped by today & Merl let her pet him. This is great progress!

Lastly, I thank the DIary Gal for the DDP honor today & cool comments from my friends!

Just a short late note to let everycat know we're doing fine.

Mommy's having her total knee replacement surgery tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. so keep her in your prayers and purrs. We're purring loudly too!

Mark and Peggy will be sitting for us while Mommy is away. Landy, Cam and I met them both; they're very nice. Bail and Merl hid under the bed. They're the shy guys.

Anyway, we'll be back in the regular swing of things after Mommy's back.

I'm 15 years old today! I'm still going strong heart wise; but am still dealing with the itchies that don't want to go away completely. I also have arthritis in my back legs which makes it harder to walk up and down the stairs. Still, I work my legs by giving them a lot of exercise so they don't stiffen up on me totally. Walking up and down stairs is good exercise, hint, hint, hint Mommy!

I thank HQ for the yummy birthday cake, treats and birthday email.

I also thank my following friends for their gifts, etc.:

1. CALLIE ROSE - pawsome pawmail and card;
2. MILO - & Family cute bunny;
3. VIOLET & Family - lovely Easter egg;
4. BELLA & Family - lovely Easter egg;
5. WESLEY & Family - lovely Easter egg;
6. HAZEL LUCY - cool comment;
7. DA TABBIES O TROUT TOWNE - pawsome pawmail;
8. MUPPET & FAMILY - lovely heart.

Lastly, I concat our angel Max on being Diary of the Day! Way to go Max. It's great to see that two of my angel brothers (Bentley) have gotten Diary of the Day in the same year. I believe Bentley was up in the spotlight a couple weeks ago.

Anyway, I got to take a nap.

I'm the spokescat tonight and extend happy birthday wishes to Bail on behalf of all of us!

I get my turn at having a birthday on Friday, April 6th. I'll be 15 years old!

Also, Mommy found out some good news from my cardiologist's tech today. I don't have to get an echocardiogram until November! That's good 'cause I'm not in the mood for getting my chest shaved right now. Also, it's good for Mommy as she's all lined up with doctor visits and surgery this month.

Well, that's it from me.

My furmily and I decided to transfer a bunch of Zealies to another pawsome Catster family, namely ANGEL BUDDIE, CASH, GIBBS, et al. We're rolling in Zealies and haven't had much time to send any out in some time. Some of these Zealies were left over from a photo contest Catster used to have wherein we did a lot of voting.

Bail, did send his girl a BIG yummy cake today. Yep, we're feeling generous today!

As to me; those itchies happen mostly early morning and times when Mommy wants to sleep. I ROCK the bed with my itching and scratching and licking. She thinks I've been stealing Cam's food, because she's seen me almost do it twice.

Also, somecat did a yucky load of poop in the hallway! Now, we got another phantom pooper in the house. Hmmmmmmm, who could it be??? Mommy thinks it's me again as Cam's food probably upset my system after eating the RX food for a long time. Innocent until proven guilty on this, I say!

Anyway, Bail is going to be an old mancat tomorrow (he-he). He'll be 7 years old. On April 6th, I turn 15 years old. Now, that's an older mancat!

Lastly, Mommy's trying to schedule my heart exam for early April instead of May because of her knee surgery and one month recovery. She called the hospital yesterday, and the receptionist said they don't take drop offs. Mommy told her she has to drop me off as she's run out of time off from work because of blood tests for her upcoming surgery. The tech, will be calling Mommy tomorrow with an answer. Hopefully, she'll agree to this. They let Mommy drop me off last year as I was having a hard time walking two days after the sedation they gave me. Hopefully, they'll make an exception this time too. Cross your paws that they say "yes".

Anyway, that's it from me.

Will the phantom pooper ever stop dropping evidence on the dining room rug? This happened again a couple times this week and in fact yesterday evening was the latest deposit.

Yep, the phantom pooper is me! Of course, Mommy had her suspicions all along as I go to my litter box, try to go and then nothing happens so I go elsewhere or part of goes where it should go, and some of it lands on the floor somewhere.

Yesterday, I tired to go in Cammie's box and nothing happened. Mommy saw me, then guided me back to the box. I turned around and ran downstairs. Sure enough, there on the dining room rug, was the evidence.

She's not sure what to do about this. This doesn't happen everyday. I normally go in the box but if the poopies don't want to happen, I go downstairs.

She thinks my arthritis has something to do with it as I try to go and then nothing happens and I go downstairs and the urge comes back; and my back legs are too stiff to run back upstairs to make it to the litter box. I believe she's right.

What's the solution to this, anycat. Should I be on arthritis meds for kitties? Or maybe a poopie softener so when the urge comes, I go more easily in the litterbox?

Anyway, I think Mommy's going to talk to the vet about this when she picks up my special food tomorrow.

Merl and Bail are back-to-back Diary Picks! Concats to both!

Mommy has a new phone; of course Bail let everycat know that.

It's a back to work day for her so, I'm keeping this one super short.

First of all, Happy Friday, everycat!

I still have some itchies but not as bad as a bunch of fur has grown back on my tummy, britches, tail, and ruff.

Secondly, Mommy is going to have one of those echocardiograms (sp?) tomorrow like I have once a year. At least they don't have to shave her chest like they do with me! MOL!! This will will show more detail on her heart functions.

Third, she's going to call my cardiologist soon as she won't be able to take me for my check up because of her surgery and inability to drive for one month. She's going to either schedule my visit before April 23rd or after May 23rd.

Also, our Auntie Mary emailed Mommy last night and said she'd gladly take her to the hospital for her surgery.

Lastly, tomorrow after Mommy has her echocardiogram, the pet sitter will drop by to meet us kitties. I know Landy and I will greet him at the door as we're not afraid of strangers. As to Merl and Bail, Merl will hide under the bed, Bail will stay in the bedroom, Cam will stay in her bathroom corner.

Well, that's it for now. It's breakfast time.

I extend my concats to our beloved angel Bentley on his Diary of the Day. He's been at the Bridge since May 23, 2005, and believe me, I still miss him and so does Mommy!

He was the first and only one of my sibs at that time who liked me. Max would have but he was too sick with cancer to pay me any mind. So, it was Bentley who became my best buddy in 1997 and was until he left us in 2005.

Also, Mommy just found out that her knee surgery is set for April 23, 2012! She also has a petsitter lined up and he'll be over on this Saturday to meet us kitties. He charges $20.00 a visit which is cheaper than the other place which charges $26.00 for the first cat and $2.00 for each extra (that's a big rip in the wallet!!). Also, this gentleman or his wife will be giving me my meds (good luck!!!).

Mommy tells me that she typed up feeding and pill-giving instructions for each of us so it'll be easier on the sitters. She even put our pictures on the instruction sheets.

Anyway, that's it for now.

Today is a nice sunny day. Not sure how warm it is though. Mommy has to go out to the car to get a thingy of kitty litter out of the trunk and she'll report to us soon. She thinks it's warm as she saw some people walk by on the bike path and they weren't dressed for cold weather.

Anyway, Bail and I were laying side-by-side in a sun patch in the spare bedroom (our litterbox room). We were enjoying this to the max.

Also, Mommy's knee has been aching and locking up all week. She can't wait until the surgery is over and done with. She's worried, of course, and she needs to get somebody lined up to take care me and my sibs while she's in the hospital. Since we live in a two story house, and Mommy has no husband nor roommate, she has to stay in the rehab center for 10-14 days. Believe me, she's worried and stressed about this whole thing and organizing stuff and getting the pre-op and the pre-op working out well. If her health isn't good enough to have an operation, she doesn't know what to do.

Anyway, she could use the purrs. All of us kitties could use them too because Mommy won't be home for 10-14 days, and we'll be scared and lonely.

Well, that's it for now. I hope everycat is having a pawsome weekend.
