Good Evening, My Friends

Bummer! The iPhone won't let me spell a couple of words. One of them is a slang or made up word for fluff. When I try to type it the phone changes it to 'flood'. The other word is 'every cat'. If I type the two words together, it adds a 'h' at the end. The phone has a mind of its own, yet it does let us spell 'breep' without any problem.

Mommy googled the word and a breep is a burp or a noise a bird makes. So when we say Purrs & Breeps we're not burping and making bird calls. MOL!! Breeps to us are those happy trills a lot of cats make.

Anyway, an hour ago, we had a small T-storm. Luckily. it wasn't nasty enough to make us lose power.

On Friday night, Mommy noticed that I was itching more than usual. At first, she thought I was stealing Cam's food again (she saw me try to do it the other day). Anyway, she took the flea comb to my coat and pulled up some flea dirt and a few fleas. She did it again and found more. Note: we are inside cats and these fleas must have been hitch hikers and came in on Mommy's shoes or maybe even the grocery bags as she always sets them on the stoop before she opens the front door. Perhaps they could have come in our upstairs windows while they were open. That's some high leaping, if that's possible. We never had this problem since 2009 as Cam was already an indoors cat and I was not allowed out anymore because of my heart condition and arthritis. We hadn't any fleas until this year! Mommy saved a lot of money for three years.

This year, we're not so lucky! Merl also had a lot of fleas (but he never had the itchies like me). Landy had a couple and so did Bail. Mommy found nothing on Cam except for dandruff. She doesn't hang with us boys so she got lucky.

Anyway, Mommy treated Merl and I Friday night and watched us carefully so we wouldn't lick the spots where she put the flea stuff. We did good and didn't lick at all. Merl says he never felt the stuff on his neck as his fur is so thick.

The next morning Landy was next and he freaked out when Mommy put the stuff on him. Boy was he a BIG BABY about this! I suppose he got spooked by the way the stuff felt cold on the back of his neck and didn't like the squirting noise it made when Mommy squeezed the tube. He took off like a bat out of you know where and flew downstairs!

Poor Bail, didn't like it either, but Mommy managed to hold him on the bed for a little bit and he took off.

Well, that's it for now. I'll let Bail blog about his grooming ordeal and Merl about the nasty t-storm we had Friday night.

WOW! I'm following Bail's two DDP's. Looks like we're on a roll! Thanks Diary Gal for the honor!

Again, like Bail, I didn't get one of those emails regarding I was a DDP! I suppose they did away with that. Does anycat know??

Anyway, I thank my friends for their gifts and concats:

1. BUDDIE & Family - pawsome pawmail;
2. SMILEY CASSANOVA - yummy ice cream cone;
3. TABATHA - pawsome pawmail and cool pic;
4. CALIE - cool comment;
5. ZEKE - cool comment.

Lastly, I'm keeping this short as Mommy has to go to bed early because she has her last (so far) P.T. session at 7:30 a.m.

Purrs & Breeps to all,

An hour ago, there were several rumbles of thunder. Mommy shut all windows and then the storm decided not to continue. She opened the windows and as of now, they're still open.

We're all hoping that there' s not another one lurking nearby. Friday night we had a T-storm that was short and nasty and left us with no power for a few hours early Saturday.

Right now, all of us kitties are doing fine. Bail loves my duck and pea wet food and I don't mind as I don't pay for it. Cam's got a problem with pooping on her blanket sometimes and I sometimes am the phantom pooper. Merl and Landy got nail trims this weekend. The rest of us will get ours trimmed tomorrow.

Lastly, Mommy's still having pains in her low back and tailbone areas along with throbbing in her non-operated knee and right thigh. All of this from the physical therapy and her body getting used to the new knee. The new knee feels pretty good and has more range of motion. She can't wait until all these pains go away.

Well, that's it from me.

After I took my nap on Saturday,I woke up feeling much better. I felt better on Sunday and also feel good today!

Thank you: Zack, Orange Ruffy, Tigger and Kibbles for your purrs and concerns!

Today, is a rainy one, so that means more naps for all of us!

I'm going to keep this short as Mommy has to get ready for work.

I'm out of sorts today. First of all, I was downstairs in the dining room when Mommy gave me my pills (in a pill pocket). A few minutes later I was meowing loudly and then all of a sudden I gacked and up came a long hairball following by the pill pocket. I also barfed all over my front feet. YUCKY!! Mommy had to wipe off my feet and then clean up the mess on the rug. Of course, she had to re-pill me as the one that came up wasn't even dissolved yet.

After that ordeal, I took a nap and a few hours I was up. I meowed and before I made it to Mommy's bedroom, I dropped a long poopie in the hallway.

Mommy asked me what was wrong and I looked at her funny. Hey, I don't feel that great! I think I need some purrs!

Anyway, I'll take another nap. I don't know why I'm feeling so yucky! I ate a good breakfast and that stayed down. Mommy thinks my grooming too much is the root of my problems. There's just too many hairballs! She says "even Bail with thicker and longer hair doesn't yuck as much as you do, and it's because he's not a compulsive groomer".

Well, that's about it. I hope I feel better after my nap.

Mommy now has something else in common with me besides arthritis. It's the ITCHIES!!!

My itchies are still hanging around and they mostly come at night. Mommy thinks it's because I sneak Cam's or my brothers' wet food.

Her itchies are from the flaking and peeling skin around the incision scar on her knee. She also thinks that the body washes she uses irritate it making the itchies worse. She then puts lotion on the itchy areas (not on the incision itself, but around it). She wants to get regular soap and use that instead of these fancy body soaps she has. Hopefully, that'll keep her itchy knee feeling better.

Also, I was naughty to Cam the other day. I don't know what got into me. I know she's trusting me more with each passing day and then I had to be a complete bad *&^ to her by boxing her. Believe me, she boxed me back. Serves me right for being bully no. 2 in the house (Landy is no. 1).

I must keep telling myself that Cam doesn't want to be bothered with nasty brothers and that she trusts me more than the others.

Lastly, we got a warm weekend around here. So far, it's early so the heat isn't on yet. Around noon or so, we expect the temps to rise. No t-storms are called for either. This is a rainless weekend!

Well, that's about it, my friends. Keep cool!

I extend my concats to our sister, Camille Rose, on her diary pick today! I'm glad she got it as she's been under a lot of stress because of Landy's picking on her, and she needed something to cheer her up.

Cam's right about me being her best brother. Since I've gotten older and also have arthritis, I can sympathize with her as to not wanting to be bothered by younger cats such as Landy. I don't like it when he tries it on me and of course, I give him firm hisses to let him know that I don't appreciate rough play all the time.

I've done my best to stay in Cam's room with her a lot of times and even breeped at her. We've sat side-by-side before when Mommy's in there with us.

I've given up on chasing her and boxing her like Landy currently does. Yep, I've mellowed in my older years. Poor Jasmine Bibette used to get that bully treatment from me when I was Landy's age. She'd stay upstairs all the time in the bedrooms and when she ventured downstairs, I'd chase her back upstairs. I was a terror!

Hopefully, when Landy gets older, he'll mellow out like I have.

Anyway, Mommy has a visit with the ortho at 3:00 p.m. today. Pray for good results. She's ready to go back to work and earn more money.

I'm one of those compulsive groomers and because of this, I launch many hairballs. Tonight was one of those nights. I was asleep on Mommy's bed when the urge to yuck came upon me. I'm always considerate and never do this on her bed; I jumped to the floor and deposited it right there. Mommy thanked me for putting it on the floor.

Anyway, I feel much better now.

I hope every cat is having a great Memorial Day weekend!

Today is a lazy day for us kitties. Bail, Landy and I are on Mommy's bed right now. Landy is out like a light as he had the cat crazies as soon as the sun rose. Bail's drifting off to some song by Chloe Agnew from one of the "Celtic Women" CD's. Of course this was dictated to Mommy a few minutes before I nodded off.

Mommy told me that Ms. Peggy wrote little day-by-day notes on her progress with us kitties and how Landy and I followed her around the house like dogs. She mentioned that Merl only came out when some organic nip was offered to him. MOL! He can never say no to nip even when a stranger offers it. She also caught Landy stealing Cam's moist food; she bought a tube of Nutri-Cal for Cam as she thought she was listless. Lastly, she brought over her radio and had it playing classical music 24/7. Yep, us kitties were introduced to another type of music and we loved it.

Anyway, I'll be on my way. Have a pawsome Sunday, my friends.

Purrs and Breeps,
