I wanted to let you know that I let my parents administer my fluids at home yesterday for the first time. They hung the bag on the back of the bedroom door and it made the fluids run smoother. :) I only made a little fuss at the end of the treatment. When it was over I got lots of loving and treats!
I am so happy I didn't have to make the trek to the vet's office to get them done. Please purr that I continue to let my parents give me the fluids at home.

Total Score (Place your score/name in your Diary Title):
My Score is 26 (times a million) of Feisty Points!
0-5 LAIDBACK LOVEBUG: You are a lovebug. You are sweet (and probably floofy) and you go with the flow. Nothing *really* bothers you and you like everybody. You don’t even mind having a feisty sibling! You are a laidback lovebug!
6-15 COOL CAT: You are one cool cat. Smooth with a touch of mischief. You’ve got a bit of feisty in you and a bit of lovebug. Balance is good; you know how to have a good time by chasing and pouncing AND you know how to have a good time by being a mellow kitty and just hanging out. You are a cool cat!
16+ CRAZY FEISTY: You are a nut. A cheeky little monkey! Crazy, feisty, the talk of the town! Chasing kitty sisters, demanding your human feed you NOW, eating your mom’s favorite pair of shoes, turning on the oven with your freakishly strong teeth just because you can! The world is your playground and you’ll try anything once (or twice). If your human can handle the shenanigans of a CRAZY FEISTY kitty cat, all is good! If your human cannot handle the shenanigans, wait until she leaves for work to get crazy and then blame it on your sistercat when your human comes home! You are crazy feisty (and a whole lot of mischievous fun!)!
Any kitty that wants to play is invited! Feel free to tag friends to find out just how feisty your friends are!

I was tagged by Tao AKA Pharaoh Princess to play this game. It's the Family Tag Game. Instead of talking about our kitty selves, we talk about our family. :)
Mom: Mom works for a retail company. Mom's hobbies are computing and reading. She likes to read romance, as well as science fiction novels. Mom is not much of a television watcher, but her favorite shows are House Hunters and Dr. Who.
Dad: Dad has worked in retail for the past 25+ years. He used to be a store manager but his company folded and he lost his job. He now works for the same company as Mom does. Dad's hobbies are computing and reading. He likes science fiction and historical novels. He enjoys watching television; Fringe and Dr. Who are among his favorite shows.
That's it; that's my family!
I am tagging:

I wanted to update you on my health. As of Saturday, I gained back the 5 ounces I had lost the week prior. Now if I can just stay on an upswing with my weight, that would be good. My appetite is fine and I haven't been throwing up since I started taking the Famotidine (Pepcid). Unfortunately, the other cats sometimes pick on me because I am ill and old. But, Mom and Dad step in and put a stop to it. :) I am doing well getting my fluids at the vet. My attitude has improved about that. So, Mom and Dad want to try to give them to me at home. I'll let you know how that goes.

I was tagged by Art Blakey to play the Lovebug Tag Game! I'm to answer six questions and then tag other kitties to play:
1. Meow! Are you a noisy kitty or a quiet kitty?
I am a quiet kitty except when I am hungry, then I let mom and dad know I want food!
2. Litterbox! Cover your business or let some other kitty cover?
3. Happy! Favorite Daily Routine?
My bed time routine is my favorite, which is when I get to sleep next to my mom.
4. Hiss! Least Favorite Routine?
Getting my nightly medicines! I take two liquid medicines every night for my CRF and related high blood pressure.
5. Ding-Dong! What do you think about visitors to your house?
I love company! I'm not afraid at all.
6. Friends! Do you like other animals?
No, I don't particularly. I loved my sisfur Taylor; she was my litter mate. But I don't like my other brofurs and sisfurs much, except in the Winter time when I let them sleep next to me to keep me warm! mol
Everfurryone is welcome to play if you are reading this and you want to play, consider yourself tagged! Be sure to let your friends know they've been tagged by sending them a message or rosette! Angels can play, too! Tell us about your life at the bridge or your life at home before the bridge!

My vet said my heart murmur sounds better, though not completely gone. I am feeling better being on fluids twice a week, though I certainly don't like the drive to the vet...a windy mountain road, 25 minutes each way. Though, the treatments are keeping me alive and that is what is most important.
I want to mention that my friend Xena Princess Warrior is having surgery today for a breast lump. Please purr for her!

My mom is making me tell you what I did this morning. I christened my grandma's suitcase! Mom has no idea what has gotten into me. I've never done anything like that before. All I can say is that she has two cats and I probably didn't like their smell and wanted to assert my dominance. After all, I am 18 years old! MOL

I had my checkup today. My heart murmur has lessened and I had some more fluids. The vet wants to see me on Wednesday for a recheck. I'll also be going in twice a week for fluids. My appetite is good and I seem to be feeling better. I'll let you know what the vet says on Wednesday.
Love and purrs,

I had a little setback on Wednesday night, but I'm doing better now. My mom took me into the vet yesterday and it seems I needed some fluids to help me feel better. There is good news and bad news. The good news is, my weight is up. I gained some ounces since my checkup last month. :) The bad news is that the vet heard a heart murmur. This is something new, but she thinks/hopes it is due to my being somewhat dehydrated yesterday. I go back to see her on Saturday for a follow-up.
The other good news is that my blood pressure is normal. The change in the amount of medication has helped. It was slightly elevated last month, so the vet upped my Amlodipine.
Mom and Dad are going to start taking me into the vet to get fluids administered, since I won't allow them to do it themselves at home. The vet said that they won't charge for the administering of the fluids, just for supplies, so that helps out financially. :)
Purrs that the heart murmur is temporary would be most welcome.
