Tigger's Mom here. Tigger needs your prayers and purrs. He has an urgent care appointment this morning at 11:40 with his vet. I don't know if the combination of the CRF and the new developments with the Pancreatitis and IBD are just too much for him. I put him on the scale at home last night and he has lost weight, which he cannot afford to do. His appetite has tapered off over the past two days, and his bowel movements have stopped. It might be simply a sign of constipation that can be treated, or it might just be that tired his little body is giving up. I will let you know what I find out from his vet.
Thank you all for your continued love and support for my boy. It means the world to me.

I promised an update after my vet appointment yesterday. My vet believes I may have IBD and an inflamed pancreas. My intestinal wall is slightly thickened...she says that could be inflammation from the bad diarrhea bout I had. I had an in-house blood panel done and my Amylase was high, which is what indicated the inflamed pancreas.
Regarding my CRF, my Creatinine level has increased and my BUN level has decreased since my last blood panel. My vet recommended increasing my fluid sessions to twice a week and she prescribed an anti-nausea medicine for me to take. As of now I am taking a high blood pressure medicine, an antacid and now the anti-nausea medicine.
I want to thank Finney, Lacey and Angel Alex's mom for emailing with my mom about IBD. (Their mom has the IBD Kitties website.) My mom got some good information on foods and such that may help with IBD.
I will see my vet again in two weeks for a recheck. I sure could use some healing purrs my friends.

Thank you so much for your purrs and good wishes! They really helped me and my mom a lot. Mom felt so alone last night...she was really scared about my sudden symptoms. I was having trouble controlling the diarrhea and I went poop on the carpet in the bedroom. :(
Today, my diarrhea has subsided and no more vomiting. Also, my appetite is normal. Mom and Dad gave me fluids tonight and used a purrito wrap on me. Since I was not able to fight the fluids process as much, it went a lot easier for all of us!
My appointment with the vet is for Sunday. That is Mom's day off. I will keep you posted as to what my vet says.

I'm not doing too well tonight. I vomited up my dinner and I started having diarrhea. Mom waited a bit and then gave me my dose of Pepcid and my Amlodipine. She offered me food about an hour later and I ate 1/3 a can of my Fancy Feast and licked up all the gravy. So, I'm not completely off my food.
Dad and Mom are going to give me fluids tomorrow to try to offset the diarrhea. And, Dad will call the vet for an appointment this weekend. Thank goodness my vet's office is open on Saturday and Sunday for urgent care. Mom hopes this isn't my CRF acting up, but it's possible. Maybe I just have a virus? Please purr!

Mom and Dad gave me my fluids tonight and I put up one heck of a fight! I've still got spunk even at my age! MOL I heard something whispered about them trying a "purrito" on me next time, whatever that is?

Here are some questions I saw in Blizzard's diary. Any kitty can play!
1. Do you wear a collar? If so, what color?
Yes, I wear a multi-colored striped collar with my healing charm from Simba' mom.
2. What kind of food do you like?
Wet and dry
3. What are your favorite treats?
4. Do you have a Valentine or a significant other?
5. Do you get table scraps
Yes, mainly chicken
6. What is your favorite toy
I love my catnip cigar that River's mom made. Although not as much now that my siblings have slobbered on it!
7. When is your Birthday?
October 1, 1992
8. How many times a day do you eat?
The dry food is available all day long. I also eat wet food three times a day.
9. Do you have a favorite color?
Pink! (Real men cats love pink!)
10. Do you have any siblings? If so, do you like them?
I have four siblings. I don't like Bob at all. I like Marmelade, especially sleeping next to him in the colder months. Midge likes to pick on me, so I don't like her all that well. Pippin is okay; she likes me! :)
Anyone who wants to play, consider yourself tagged!!

I wanted to let you know that I let my parents administer my fluids at home yesterday for the first time. They hung the bag on the back of the bedroom door and it made the fluids run smoother. :) I only made a little fuss at the end of the treatment. When it was over I got lots of loving and treats!
I am so happy I didn't have to make the trek to the vet's office to get them done. Please purr that I continue to let my parents give me the fluids at home.

Total Score (Place your score/name in your Diary Title):
My Score is 26 (times a million) of Feisty Points!
0-5 LAIDBACK LOVEBUG: You are a lovebug. You are sweet (and probably floofy) and you go with the flow. Nothing *really* bothers you and you like everybody. You don’t even mind having a feisty sibling! You are a laidback lovebug!
6-15 COOL CAT: You are one cool cat. Smooth with a touch of mischief. You’ve got a bit of feisty in you and a bit of lovebug. Balance is good; you know how to have a good time by chasing and pouncing AND you know how to have a good time by being a mellow kitty and just hanging out. You are a cool cat!
16+ CRAZY FEISTY: You are a nut. A cheeky little monkey! Crazy, feisty, the talk of the town! Chasing kitty sisters, demanding your human feed you NOW, eating your mom’s favorite pair of shoes, turning on the oven with your freakishly strong teeth just because you can! The world is your playground and you’ll try anything once (or twice). If your human can handle the shenanigans of a CRAZY FEISTY kitty cat, all is good! If your human cannot handle the shenanigans, wait until she leaves for work to get crazy and then blame it on your sistercat when your human comes home! You are crazy feisty (and a whole lot of mischievous fun!)!
Any kitty that wants to play is invited! Feel free to tag friends to find out just how feisty your friends are!
