Happy Mothers Day

I know we all have wonderful Mothers here on catster. Just wanted to send out a BIG Happy Mothers day to all of them. I gave my mom a big cuddle today for mothers day. Gordy gave her a pile of cat puke (hairballs) this morning. I think mom was happier with my gift but I know she loves all of us.

A little bit of Spring

Well we have had a little bit of spring here. We have a had a lot of snow and a lot of rain too. We are thankful that we haven't had any bad weather though.

My new little brother Cole is doing good. We added some more pictures to his page too. He is really loving Toby. He follows him around everywhere. Toby lets him win in play fight too. Mom says its really cute.

I have been having my eye allergies already this year. Its going to be a long year : ( They are going to have to call the vet and get some more of my eye meds soon.

Things have been going pretty good with him around the house. Toby and Gordy are pretty much fine with him. Melody hisses at him but then runs away. Cole likes to puff up at the others though. Its funny to think of a 17lb cat running away from a kitten.

Does anyone know?

So after our whole ordeal with the kitty mom found with the microchip that wasn't updated mom started thinking about us.

Does anyone know if we have to pay every year in order for our microchip to work or is that just for updated services? We are registered with Home again. I guess mom will call on Monday but does anyone have an idea?

*Update*
Mom called Home again Customer service tonight and asked if I was brought in and my chip was scanned would it not work because my membership is not active anymore.

They said my chip will always work and I am still registered with them. I am just not paying for the EXTRA services as a member now. Mom is not sure what they are but will look into them.

So if My chip was scanned it would still have my name and all of the contact info which is really what is important to mom.

Oh My!!

Well poor mom has been crazy busy the last two days. Her and dad were on there way out last night when mom heard some meowing by the car. Now of course mom had to look and see where the meowing was coming from and it was right behind the car tire of the car next to them. Out came this little tabbi kitty. So mom and dad took it to our vet to see if she had a microchip and she did! Well the address was listed for Texas and we live in Minnesota : ( Voice mails were left but no call backs.

So today at work mom was super worried. What would she do with another kitty? We are only allowed three.

The animal shelter said she should post a "found" add on Craigslist which brought in a bunch of weird emails. People saying they were rescues. Mom was going crazy not knowing who to trust. How does she know if its just some weirdo trying to get a free cat or just trying to make a buck and not caring about the cat at all? I guess mom is a little paranoid with all the stories she hears.

Well mom got off work and called the number on the microchip again. This time she got a hold of the lady but she lives in Texas : ( Again we live in Minnesota. The lady told mom that she adopted "Mitsy" in Texas but couldn't keep her because she didn't get along with the other cats. So she gave her to someone who moved to the deep North (Minnesota LOL) and could only remember her first name and her sons name.

Mom decided to take a picture and post some flyers. THANK GOODNESS! Someone called within 5 minutes of the flyers being posted. It was the same people that the lady from texas said she gave the kitty too. They were both thrilled to see Mitsy again. They said they had been looking all day. They live in the apartment right next to ours and Mitsy jumped down from a three story balcony (WOW!) with no injuries.

Mom is thrilled!

Lazy days

Hello Pals! Well its warming up here enough for me to lay by the open door. Its my favorite passtime in the summer. Laying by the screen door watching the world go by. The sun has even been shining. Hoping Spring comes fast and we all can get back outside.
