I guess I was getting greedy. From 7 adoptions last week we went to 4 this week. Although 4 is still really good. I am not complaining. That means that my person can take in some more kittens from our local shelter. She picked up two last night pretty fluffy tabby girls. She gets 1 or 2 tonight.

Saturday was our placment adoption day. Many of our foster homes were tired from the big event last weekend so they stayed home to rest. We were able to adopt 5 cats!! Two teams went together and one was an adult who had been adopted a number of years ago. She was brought to the shelter. . skin & bones. A beautiful Maine coon mix. A wonderful couple saw how beautiful she would be again and took her home for a real forever home.
Adoption rantSeptember 30th 2005 10:45 am[ Leave A Comment ] Well the weekend is coming and it is time for what I now think of as my adoption rant. All animals in need of forever home should get them!!! Please join us in the Power of the Purr chain to purr for rescue and for adoptions this weekend. I will keep ranting until every animal that I know of that needs a forever home is adopted. Join me!!!!
AdoptathonSeptember 27th 2005 12:59 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Well my person was so tired. The Yolo County SPCA did an adoptathon Saturday and Sunday the 24th & 25th. It was very successful. Not only did we get to meet lots of nice people (well of course I didn't go) but all of the groups got lots of dogs & cats adopted. Thank you everyone for your good thougths and support.
more hurricanesSeptember 22nd 2005 1:04 pm[ Leave A Comment ] My person is very worried because her sister lives in Houston. She promised she would be leaving Houston today, though. I worry about all the animals, but my person looked at the Houston SPCA website & saw that people were able to take animals with them. My person's sister went to the Astrodome to help the people evacuated from New Orleans. She gave a ride to a couple so they could get to a hotel. The woman was very brave, in her backpack she had brought her little dog. She wouldn't leave it behind in New Orleans. Let's all purr for rescue. Please join the power of the purr chain to purr for all kinds of rescue.

I wish that every cat/kitten, dog/puppy, rabbit/bunny who needs a forever home finds one. I wish that all of the animals separated from their person by the disaster of Katrina is reunited. I wish that all of the families separated are reunited.
