Diary of the Day

Thanks HQs, for featuring me as Diary of the Day today! Thanks also to our friends, old and new, for always being so kind to our family. Due to time zones, so many of you find out about these things way before we do. To top things off, we received a special package from Dexter and his family today. Not only did Dexter send Joy something special, being that he's her best friend, but his entire family sent us a big bunch of Kitty Hoots catnip toys and Feline Greenies! You should have seen us maul all of the catnip toys, even though they were still attached to their packaging--we were in kitty heaven! You can see some of what they sent us on Joy's page. There are more than enough toys for each of us.

It has definitely been a great day!

Love,

Playing with Joy

My little sister Joy has chosen me as one of her favorites for wrestling. Her other favorite is Milo, who gives her the best baths. She's been pouncing on me alot and we've been rolling around kicking and biting each other. For a small kitty she sure is tough, but it's all that kitten energy she has. With the rest of the family, she plays hide-and-go-seek or sniffing games. Seems like it was just yesterday when I was her age and size. She's a great new toy!

Until next time,

My Pal Joe

I just wanted to tell my good friend Joe that I appreciate his friendship. Joe lives with his mommy, daddy, cat brother Jack, and this other creature named Vinny who looks like a big mouse. Among other things, Joe and I talk about the fact that we look similar and have white-tipped tails. He and Jack have cool videos on their pages and my Mom especially likes the song in Joe's video. If I were to ever meet Joe face-to-face, I'd greet him with a high-five white-tipped tail!

My Dad

I love my Dad because:

1. Like Reebok, he brought me home and gave me a chance for a great life.
2. Although I have stolen a few of his favorite dinner biscuits from the kitchen counter, he's forgiven me.
3. Dad cleared a spot on the very top shelf of the hutch that sits on top of the computer desk just so I could jump up there safely and not knock anything over. He even put a little cushion up there for me to nap on.
4. Every day, he goes in the fridge to get us a little bit of that boiled chicken that Mom makes.
5. He gives good head pats.

I love my Dad!

Dirty Fun

Dear Diary,

I like Quincy (one of our dogs) because he dug a big hole in the backyard. I jumped into it today and pretended that no one could see me. Then I rolled around and around in it until I turned into a brown and beige tabby. I think that's why Reebok pounced on me because he didn't recognize me, but I got him back and turned him into a brown and beige tabby, too. That's what brothers are for and after all, people sometimes refer to Reebok and I as the "Sneaker Twins" and that's what sneakers are for.... to run in, play in, and get dirty in!

Mom turned Reebok and I back into black and white tabbies after that and then thanked Quincy. See? I knew Mom liked him as much as I do!

Spring is in the Air

Rain or shine, I've been enjoying the Spring season, and love being in our garden. I love to chew the grass, chase the bugs, and watch all the little birds flying and singing. The occasional squirrel running along the top of the fence gets me really excited! If not for the fencing system we have, I'd go chase the squirrels. I'm also intrigued by rain puddles. I attack them with an iron paw and they fight back by splashing water all over me. But, they dry up eventually.

We just had our photo shoot for the Spring season. Mom promised us we wouldn't have to wear anything on our heads or body this time, and she kept her word. Truthfully, we are very good about cooperating for holiday photos, though I usually find them extremely boring!

Meowing out for now,

My First Birthday!

Dear Diary,

Reebok and I turned ONE on February 23rd and we never knew how much fun having a birthday could be. The Terrific Tabbies group threw us a surprise party with great food and company!

Seems like yesterday when Dad scooped us up in a cardboard box and brought us home. Mom and Dad were reflecting on our first days here and they are really proud of us. It's been a great year being part of this family and I'm a happy and healthy boy.

Time to go have some fun and make some noise before calling it a night!

I'm the Biscuit Kid

Dear Diary,

I'm proud to say that I've earned the nickname, "biscuit kid". Once those freshly baked biscuits are taken out of the oven and no one is watching, I make one of them mine. I pick one up with my mouth and off I go! Ever have six other cats, two dogs, and two humans chase you at the same time? Geesh, they can't even be satisfied with the crumbs I leave behind. The humans are now trying to remember to put them away temporarily until they're ready to eat them, but I know they're going to forget again. In the meantime, can someone please pass the butter? Or gravy?

Life in the Fast Lane

Dear Diary,

Reebok and I are so relieved to be out of that outdoor storage area at dad's work. The guys were trying to feed us but it was pretty scary, noisy, and cold out there. People say we weren't feral because they were able to pick us up by hand and put us in a box for dad to take us home, so they think we were dumped there. We know what happened but we don't know how to tell them.

Anyway, we've been in our new home for almost three weeks and we're loving it! We run around with the big cats but we have to watch for traffic jams and collisions sometimes, especially when chasing that red light. Mom was driving the red light this afternoon and I was in the fast lane while Pebbles was in the middle lane. Mom turned away for a minute and BOOM, Pebbles and I ran into each other! But, mom was relieved when she saw that we quickly shook it off so that she could continue driving the red light for us.

Yep, life in the fast lane can be dangerous around here especially with seven of us, so mom needs to pay closer attention when she's driving the red light, and we'll need to work on changing lanes to avoid any serious accidents!

Little Paws,
