Kiosk Dinettes

Are you a messy eater? Some of us are, so we've been eating out of these in the medium size for awhile now, all lined up! Since we were looking them up for a friend, I thought I'd share the link to the dinettes here. The picture may look like there are four "bowls" but what you're seeing are how the tray is made to keep the bowls from moving around. You can shop for a better price, too:

Happy eating!

Good Test Results from my Physical Exam

My blood, urine, and heartworm tests all came back negative. In other words, the results were boring. Boring is good! There was no specific reason why Mom wanted to have these tests done except for peace of mind.

I have a confession to make. When they were trying to get a urine sample I gave them more urine than they bargained for and was very embarassed. They just made me nervous!

My Annual Physical Exam Today

Reebok and I were sleeping in the master bedroom when Mom walked in with a carrier in her hand and set it down on the floor. Even though she was moving slowly and quietly, we knew it was time to run under the bed! Mom looked under the bed and luckily for her, I had stayed near the edge and let her bring me out and put me in the carrier. Then it was time for her to get Riley and Joy because they were going for their exams too.

I was nervous during the car ride and in the exam room while Dr. Wong checked me out. She said that she could tell I was Reebok's sibling! She also said my teeth looked good and later took a blood and urine sample, so they'll call us next week with those results. As soon as I was finished with my exam, I scooted back into the carrier.

The last time I checked, my profile said I was 16lbs but I weighed in at 19lbs. That's still 4lbs less than Reebok. We're big boys and I'm even taller!

You should have seen how fast I ran out of the carrier as soon as we got home.......

Mom's Foot

Mom is more relaxed since she's been working from home the past couple of days after she spraining her foot on Monday. She's helped a few of us update our diaries tonight and she rarely does that because she's normally too tired, especially since she's on the computer at work too.

Even though Mom knew in her mind that she wanted to work from home the rest of this week to elevate her foot as much as possible, she was going to take it one day at a time before telling everyone at work. She sent an instant message to the big boss today that went like this:

Mom: Is it alright with you if I work from home the rest of the week?

Big Boss: Absolutely!

Mom: I'm not doing something right because the swelling has moved towards my toes.

Big Boss: Well, at least it's not moving towards your brain!

Mom: I'm going to soak my foot in cold water and put an ice pack around it without bandaging it. (It helped)

Big Boss: Well, speaking from experience, since you're talking to a guy who has sprained his ankle several times (he plays softball), you need to wrap it loosely. I may not be a doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn one night!

MOL! We wonder where he went for lunch and how many drinks he had. He's definitely been watching too many commercials.

Mom's Got a New Shoe!

But her new shoe isn't a Reebok or Nike brand. She twisted her left foot on some mud at work Monday morning and now she's wearing an orthopedic shoe! It looks and smells funny. The hospital should change their brand of shoes.

The only thing that's making us happy about her accident is that she is working at home the rest of the week so she can hobble around here instead of at work.

I spent most of the day under the bed and didn't even come out to go in the backyard with everyone else. Mom wondered if I was sick so she tickled my belly under the bed to see what my reaction would be and then she heard me sneeze. I just rolled over on my side.

Mom says I am probably okay because I came out later to eat and jumped on my favorite bed and kneaded and sucked on it like I always do. I have an appt. with the vet on Saturday anyway for my annual physical exam, along with Joy and Riley. I hope the vet will see how tall I am and not say I need to go on a diet.

Mom Looks Like a Tabby Again

Mom went to the hair salon today so that she wouldn't look like a tabby and white cat. What's wrong with looking like a tabby and white cat anyway? She is my Mom isn't she? Then she combed my fur today and when she got to my lower back, she said I looked like I had dander. I think she made a mistake and meant that I looked fine and dandy.

Dad Won the Toothpaste Contest!

I heard Dad say to Mom,

"I WON!"

Mom asked him what he won and he told her that he won the toothpaste contest. Toothpaste contest? Dad felt that since he squeezed the last bit of toothpaste out of the tube he shares with Mom that he was a winner.

Geesh, some Dads get excited over nothing. Maybe we need to pay him more compliments. MOL!

Did Someone Say Anniversary??

Reebok and I received rosettes from OSKERR MIKE & FAMILY wishing us a Happy Anniversary tomorrow. It was a surprise to us because we didn't even realize we had an anniversary to celebrate! Mom had to think about this for a minute and then realized that April 27th will be the 3rd anniversary of the day that Dad brought Reebok and I home. How could she miss this when she's the one who noted the date in our bios? Duhr.

Now that Mom is paying closer attention, she just noticed that Reebok and I will also grow a third candle on our Catster birthday cakes on May 2nd.

I think Mom needs a secretary to keep track of all these dates!

Another New Bed!

Cat beds, dirt beds, grass beds, dog beds, guest beds...I love them all. Unfortunately, the dirt beds that my favorite dog brother Quincy created in the yard have been replaced with grass and bark, so I'm not getting as dirty outside as I used to get, since I love rolling in dirt!

When Grandma stayed here this weekend, I fell asleep on top of her bed. She never knew because she was busy watching TV in the other room and I was gone by the the time she was ready for bed. Mom saw me, of course. I kept a safe distance from Grandma but when she was out in the yard picking the last few lemons that were left on the tree from last Winter, I was out there watching her and even did some bug chasing......from a distance.

I'm lovin' my background because not only does it have Maneki Neko cats on it, but did you notice the shoes? Nike shoes of course! How purrfect is that!!?!!

We have a small collection of Maneki Neko cats at home and have met a few families here who collect them. If you're not familiar with these cats you can read about them here:
