Arrival Story: My room mate & I fostered strays for a few months. 1 morning my roomie left me a message "we have company" &, in the crate, was a tiny ball of orange fur with a strong personality along with his slightly timid sister. They were left in a sealed box on the front steps of the local shelter on a hot day. As we acclimated them to the house & thier other borthers & sisters, Rex made frequent visits to my room where me & my 19 yr old kitty stayed. She was in her end stages of life, suffeting from kidney problems. Seeing as she was so old, I felt the best thing to do was to let her live the rest of her days without stressful trips to the vet & medications that couldn't save her. Rex must have felt my hurt & stayed by my side till my little angel crossed the rainbow bridge. I asked my room mate if I could keep him & of course, she agreed. He fast became a well known presence in our permanent & foster feline family. I've since moved to my own apartment & Rex is right by my side. I'm a little sad I couldn't take his partner in crime Luci with us but, she's in a loving home just across the street.
