We are sending lots and lots of purrs to all of our friends that they stay safe from Sandy. She looks like a vicious storm and I hope all of our friends are safe in their homes or get away from the storm.
Hugs and love from our house to yours

Just to update anyone who doesn't know. During the week of 8/27, mom noticed me acting kind of listless and wasn't eating hardly at all. Finally on Thursday 8/30, dad took me to the vet, where they diagnosed me with Pancreatits and kept me for two days.
I was released on Saturday 9/1 with just a few meds and some I/D canned food. I had a good couple days and then was very slow eating again. Mom got worried and called the vet on Tuesday but he said I was progressing OK.
Within a day or two, I started getting more active again and eating my regular food and acting my normal self.
I am happy to report, I am now my normal rug-chewing, wrestling, running kind of kitty again. Eating good and having fun. I have lost a little weight and would like to get it back but I'm lean and mean right now! And mom is relieved.
I had lots of friends purring and my love, Lillian, sending love across the continent to get me well and it worked. Thank you friends.

I've been tagged by my friend Spirit....first time for anything like this for me.
"Who are you really?"
1) Tell me your funny Christmas story.
The year that I taught mom the bulbs on the Christmas tree will bounce three steps down the basement steps before they break....MOL.
2) Where's your favorite hiding place when playing hide and go seek?
In the couch.
3) What did you dream of being as a young kit?
NO MORE BATHS!
4) What's your favorite hobby? Anything goes.
I think I do sleeping best
5) Whats your one "bad habit" that you love and your Mom hates?
Chewing the rug in the bathroom. Mom swears she is going to pull my teeth if I keep it up, but I've made it 14 years and still have em. MOL.
6) If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?
I have a fear of leaving the house, so I think I will stay here, thank you very much!
7) What is your guilty pleasure? Food, skirts and suits or cars? What?
My catnip mouse, my paper ball and any box.
8) What is your favorite make believe monster? And yes girls, unicorns and fairies are included. Post a pic of this mysterious beast.
I don't think I have any.
9) What is the one dreaded thing you have to do at home? Babysitting, taking baths, entertaining guests....what is your dread?
10) I’m not so sure if Zach and Zoe are going to have coed ships this year or not, but in any case, which ship would you want to be on: Zach’s, or Zoe’s?
I don't understand this but will go with the guys and say Zach
I like Ka-zar's anwer...if you read this and want to play, consider yourself tagged.

This has been an up and down year but it is getting better.
Started out with Patches, my sisfur sick. I didn't know how bad it was but in April, she went to the bridge. I missed her alot because she was with me since I was 5 weeks old.
Then mom and dad brought Spice home. I wasn't too sure of this decision. She is young and liked to smack me and try to boss me. But we have worked this out and I like to play with her now. Mom says there is a new spring in my step since she came and I have some one to play with all the time.
NOW the BEST NEWS. I have a girlfriend kitty. I've never had one before. We started batting a paper ball back and from from the east coast where I live to the West coast where she lives. I asked her today to be my girl kitty and she said YES. Her name is Lillian (ID 291986) AND SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! I'M so happy today!
Life is good for this old guy who doesn't feel so old anymore!

We had our Olympics for the last week too and our closing ceremonies yesterday. We had A tug of war game, 50 and 100 foot climbs for both kitties and pups, Duck Hunting contest, clay pigeon shoot, Eating contest and probably other games I have forgotten (please don't take offense if I forgot...I'm getting up there in years. We had medals awarded and rosies and zealies to give out.
We had so much fun and lots of participation from lots of pups and kitties. The admins worked well together to get it organized and make sure all had a good time. It is and honor and fun to be a part of the admins in a group that does such a great job and has so much fun.
Can't wait for the next Olympics. Gonna have to start training right now...I was a little out of shape for this one, but gave it a good shot! Winter Olympics next...in two years. I'll have the gold then!

Ok, I've asked mom why she writes for Spice and she did for Patches but not for me. So here is my chance.
I have a new sister named Spice
She's pretty and gray and quite nice
She runs through the house
Squeaking like a mouse
I'm guessing she was worth the price
HMMM Never knew I was a poet. Dad writes limericks, I must have gotten it from him.
At least now I got to put something in MY diary!

It was two months ago today that my sisfur Patches went to the bridge. We had been together since I was only three weeks old and played together and she was my pal. She had been sick just before hand and had been gone for a while. On the day she left, I knew she wasn't coming back and said goodbye to her. Mom took some pictures of that but hasn't been able to post them at all.
I finally got used to being an only cat, then along comes Spice two weeks ago. My world was a little upside down again. This cat has A LOT of energy and smacks and hisses. Mom says Patches sent her though and so she must be OK, I just have to find out what is good about her.
Two months...hard to believe. I still miss you Patches, and Mom and dad do too. I know you are watching over us and taking care of us from the bridge and I'm glad you are no longer sick and in pain.

Wow, I've been on Catster just a little over a year and active on it for about 8 months and can't believe I was chosen for this honor. I LOVE to play in KCK and have lots of friends but there are so many KEWL kitties and to choose me...that truly means a lot.
Thanks to all my friends at KCK who think enough of me to vote me into this. A whole month worth of honor is pawsome!

Mom took pictures several weeks ago and FINALLY downloaded them and put them on our pages. I was wondering if she was EVERY going to do it. I posed....Gave her my best profile shot, turned to make sure she got both sides, looked right at her and she got another good one.
I mean, I looked good in those pics and I know she liked them. Couldn't figure out why she didn't download them. Yesterday she had the camera out again. Here we go!
She followed Patches around, sat by her, laid on the floor. Patches didn't want her picture taken. So......I'll sacrifice. I came in and sat down with Patches to show her how to give mom a good picture. And mom DIDN'T take one of me??????? Really mom, ReallY? Both of us are sitting here, and Patches keeps turning away. I'll let you get me if you want.
She followed Patches until Patches went in the bathroom and put her nose against the wall. I waited and when she came out, I got up where she could see me and sat looking my best. And she put the camera away.........
OH Poor ME.....no new pics of me from that photo shoot. One day I'll ask mom why, but now I'm just too hurt to even want to know.

Today is our Gotcha day and we are SO glad mom and dad found us. We were running with a dog when we were found. Mom called and asked about a cat and the lady wouldn't say anything until mom said she wanted at least 2 cats. They didn't want to separate us and I'm glad they didn't. We have been best friends and play together so much. As we get older and Patches hasn't felt as well, we don't play as much, but still love being together (or at least I do).
I was barely 5 weeks old and Patches was 10 weeks old. They brought us home and gave us baths for the ringworm we brought with us (and shared with both mom and dad). Then we met our dog brother and loved our new home. Mom and dad play with us and feed us good and our lives are so good cause we are here. We love to celebrate our gotcha day every year and I'm not sure why everyone else celebrates 12/31 with us, but we are glad they do!
