Mom kinda doesn't like to name kitties who may not make it, but decided this little one at least needed that much, so she be now named Hope. We moved her cage to the downstairs bathroom since the wind was picking up. She ate some of the organic tuna kitty food from Trader Joe's that mom watered down (maybe about three tablespoons). Mom going down to feed her little bits every hour or two since she only eat if someone with her. There be a little pee in the box this afternoon. Hope was once very much a lap kitty. She curled up on mom's lap and they just sat there for over an hour. Mom guessing she is somewhere between 6 - 8 years old, lookin' at her teeth. The investigation lookin' for the owner started today.

Mom and dad went to look at some farm property with Siobhan and Jonny. No one had lived in the house in two years. There was a house tailer on the property though that had been lived in until a few months ago. Siobhan and mom went to look inside and could hear a cat crying inside! They forced the door open and there was the sweetest little black and white cat. Mom had never seen a kitty so emaciated and thin! There were cockroches everywhere, so mom thinks the kitty was living on them. This baby is just skin and bones! Probably doesn't weigh five pounds. Her fur is falling out along her spine. And still this little baby was purring and wanting to be held and petted - even after her humans had abandoned her. Months!! The realtor could not get ahold of the listing agent or find out anything. Out in the county area, law enforcement would not press charges on one abandoned cat. They are often dealing with hundreds of animals in one place. We brought her back with us, have placed her in the large cage in a protected place on the porch away from our kitties. Mom gave her a bowl of water and a small amount of food (which she ate, but not as quickly as we would have expected). Afraid to feed her too much. Hated to have to leave her out there alone after she has been alone for so long, but we don't know if she has a disease. Cannot get to a vet until Monday (almost two days). Anyone have experience feeding a seriously malnourished kitty?

Okay, so mom and dad be fostering little kittens who need homes. That be okay. It even be kinda cool that Dad's work place found poor lost and trapped little Amielle and we be looking her her family and trying to get her a new one....but this beat all. Stephanie got a call from the sheriff's office today. They found three quarter horses wandering on a twisty turny highway. Pretty horses, well cared for, but cannot find their owners. None of the local farms claimin' them. Now we fostering found horses! How does one lose three horses and not miss them????

Mom asking me to let the purring kitties know cause me don't think too many see Phoenix' page. Two foster kittens, Julius and Brutus (pictures on Little Sweetie's page) are very sick. Not sure if it be viral or parasite (coccidis) but little ones at the vet and word is Brutus may die!! Now Phoenix sick too cause she doesn't have the resistance most of us do. She still eatin' but she not feelin' good at all and be havin' diarrhea, too. Mom real upset and cleanin' and sterilizing everything she can find! How did they all go from roley-poley playin' to this in just a day! Mom prayin' cause we beat the odds with me and with Phoenix. We don't wanna lose this time! She just look at the top of the page here. The kitty on the left by "catster tips" looks like Brutus! Make her eyes leak!

Mom came home from work today and put the plastic on the floor of the spare room. Not a good sign. Then Frances came (she was the Caring Hearts lady who helped Mom with me and with Phoenix). Yep, she had a cat carrier. They put up the big cage and then ..... two little balls of very scared fur. Little black tux long hair boy and his brother white with black ears a tail. Their mom was TNRed not knowing that they and their four other siblings were around and so little! They all were found and Frances split them up by twos. Mom gonna socialize these little ones, then place them for adoption to forever homes. May name the black one Brutus and the white one Julius. Mom say socializing going well for the first day.

Meez just wish life could stop for a while and be nice and lazy. This is summer after all. What about them lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer? Sigh, not for us I guess. Little Phoenix be a daddy's girl, so she not noticin' the stuff happenin', but I be devoted to my mom who has been at the peeplz hospital with the ancient one graddad now for almost a week. She come home twice at night, but the rest of da time I be hidin' out in da ceiling of the basement missin' her. Dad think I'm a sensitive girl cause I got all upset when Linus went missin' last year, now I all upset cause mom be gone. He figure I be eatin' a some time, but nobody seein' much of me. Now Phoenix be hangin' in da basement cause that be where I am. Dad not too happy cause there be lotz of stuff to get into trouble with down there. Mom come home to sleep last night and I try to get to her but Linus chased me off! So I back in hidin'.

Mom and Dad went away for five days and left us with Stephanie. That be good, she don' forget to feed us. While mom and dad gone, me and Phoenix decided to be BFF! They come back and we is rompin' and playin' together. That make mom happy. Phoenix see dad and climb his leg like tree and jump into his arms - that make HIM happy! Then something not so happy. Just as they were unpacking Siobhan called and said she needed them right away. It was poor Tana. Mom got there right away, but there was nothing to be done. Tana had lived out her 15 doggie years. Seems she had a stroke. Siobhan and mom sat on the floor with her crying and pettin' her as over about 10 minutes she peacefully passed over the bridge. They picked a special place out back and dad and Jonny dug a big hole (shepherds are kinda big dogs!). They spent a long time at Siobhan and Jonny's, but we did not mind. We know that at rainbow bridge there are lots of loved animals, but the peeplz can be there too. Tana and Jonny's mom loved each other very much. They are together again now forever.
