My family had a good Catmus Day. I did too, but my thots go to my poor Angel Tao. Feels so sad that he is gone and maybe cause I don't know what happened. Maybe I don't really need to know, but I miss him and I know his Sissy misses him so much more. Mom checked out Sissy's facebook page and she not mentioned him since the day he crossed the bridge. Nothing on his facebook page or Catster page. Tao and I were together from Oct 2011. Guess we were "kitten" love, each other's first love.

I learned tonight that my wonderful hansom Purrince Tao has crossed the bridge. Newman reached me with the word and my heart is too sad for words. Purring big time for his mom Sissy. I know he having fun will the the kits and pups at the bridge but he was way too young. I don't understand why these things happen. Someday we will be together again at the bridge but right now be so full of sadness.

So, my peeplz are going a little nuts again. They did this last year, too. Maybe they need to go to the vet. Maybe they need their shots. They brought a tree into the house. What's with that??? Then Dad got out these cool lights and started swinging them around. So, isn't that a new toy? Guess not cause he wasn't happy when Bob started climbing the tree to play with the lights. Hum. I sat and watched. So, then they put a big bowl of water under the tree. Must have added flavoring, because Phoenix went and played in the water. Then Bob and she started playing with the pine needles while Mom trying to clean them up. So, if she didn't want needles, why did she let Dad bring a tree in the house anyway? Crazy humanz.

Bad Fall

What happened was what mom warned me would happen. But it was too much fun to stop. It be fun to knock the ceiling tiles down. Mom was not home when it happened; she was out paintballing. She likes to shoot people-Sean mostly. Anyway, back to the issue.

She came home to find a ceiling tile out in the basement. That has happened before. But - it wasn't on the floor, it was twisted sidewards in the gridwork. And, on the floor shattered was an old cabbagepatch lamp that had been on the bookshelf (so long to Mom's ebay listing!). Pretty obvious that I had fallen through the ceiling tile, hit the bookshelf and me and the lamp hit the floor. Mom and dad started looking for me. I finally came out from behind the shelves in the workshop (where I go when I am upset). Limping a little on my front left leg (the weak one). No outside injury, but some swelling and I am licking it a lot. Nothing to do but try to keep me quiet for awhile. Both Dad and Steph are off work tomorrow and can keep an eye on me. Pretty sure I will be okay and mom hopes I learned something.

Vet started Hope on prednisone and an antibiotic. She eating little bits - total of about 2oz food so far today on her own. Mom be giving her some nutristat mixed with water in syringe and sometimes more food that way. Mom brought her up and sat with her in the sunshine a while today, remembering that help human babies with jaundice. Mom really hoping she make it, but preparing herself that little Hope may not be with us for very long. Trying to decide about makin' her own page. If she dies, it will be the first little one we have lost in a very long time. Mom trying to remind herself that they said I would die. They said Phoenix would die. We are both still here! Any ideas on what more we can do to counter the jaundice?

Calling her Hope

Mom kinda doesn't like to name kitties who may not make it, but decided this little one at least needed that much, so she be now named Hope. We moved her cage to the downstairs bathroom since the wind was picking up. She ate some of the organic tuna kitty food from Trader Joe's that mom watered down (maybe about three tablespoons). Mom going down to feed her little bits every hour or two since she only eat if someone with her. There be a little pee in the box this afternoon. Hope was once very much a lap kitty. She curled up on mom's lap and they just sat there for over an hour. Mom guessing she is somewhere between 6 - 8 years old, lookin' at her teeth. The investigation lookin' for the owner started today.

Mom got a feeding question

Mom and dad went to look at some farm property with Siobhan and Jonny. No one had lived in the house in two years. There was a house tailer on the property though that had been lived in until a few months ago. Siobhan and mom went to look inside and could hear a cat crying inside! They forced the door open and there was the sweetest little black and white cat. Mom had never seen a kitty so emaciated and thin! There were cockroches everywhere, so mom thinks the kitty was living on them. This baby is just skin and bones! Probably doesn't weigh five pounds. Her fur is falling out along her spine. And still this little baby was purring and wanting to be held and petted - even after her humans had abandoned her. Months!! The realtor could not get ahold of the listing agent or find out anything. Out in the county area, law enforcement would not press charges on one abandoned cat. They are often dealing with hundreds of animals in one place. We brought her back with us, have placed her in the large cage in a protected place on the porch away from our kitties. Mom gave her a bowl of water and a small amount of food (which she ate, but not as quickly as we would have expected). Afraid to feed her too much. Hated to have to leave her out there alone after she has been alone for so long, but we don't know if she has a disease. Cannot get to a vet until Monday (almost two days). Anyone have experience feeding a seriously malnourished kitty?
