What's black and white and red all over? Me!!

I got lots of sleep and I've been looking for chippies to hunt. I didn't find any so I went into the kitchen. Mama heard a "lick lick lick" and said, "what is he doing?!" A few minutes later papa went in and caught me red-handed. Eating cheese off the pizza on the stove! He yelled at me and made me go away. Mama grabbed the squirt gun but I told her I don't care. It was worth it.

There was much grumbling and disowning. Papa said "of course he's your cat. He likes pizza!" I'm pretty proud of myself though because I got enough pizza sauce on me that I had to lick it off and clean up. Mmmmm.

Visitors

Last week we had visitors and there was A Girl too. I didn't like her because she moved too fast. But I soon realized that these people didn't move much except for the girl. So I roamed the house and sat on each of them. Kind of like the 3 Bears story. Each night I slept with a different person and no, I didn't forget the pawrents who feed me all the time. I didn't want that to change, MOL. Now they're gone and I can get my regular sleep between hunting for squirrels. A bunch of my furriends hunt squirrels from inside too and a lucky few even get to go outside!

I've been waiting for mama to come home this week for 4 days and papa told me that I'll have to wait a few more. I'm getting tired of waiting for her by the window so maybe I'll go beg for some treats.

Thank you so much to my furriends who are celebrating with me. Newman sent me a tasty ice cream cone, Hooch sent me a patriotic flag to match my page, Buddie, McKenna and furmily sent me a fantastic pawmail, Vivien said "Way to go on being a diary pick today, Sparky! I guess the Diary Gal doesn't like rules either, but she likes your diary!", my good pals Kitty P. and Indiana sent me a cool duckie in a pool (I looves duckies!) and Milo, Mea and the other M's sent me a yummy shrimpy. MOL, thanks everyfur!

I think the Diary Gal likes it that I thanked HQ and I definitely agree with Samoa's theory that Diary Gal picks the winners by hand. MOL

I don't need no stinkin' rules

It all happened on the same day. Well, first of all let me explain that I stretch and scratch almost every time I get up. It feels good and it's just what I do. I like my sissal scratcher the best but momcat says the problem started when they got the new couch from grandma's house. See, the couch is textured so it feels like a big, giant sissal scratcher to me. So that's what I do.

Well dadcat came home and unbeknownst to me, put stuff on the couch. I had no idea what he was doing because it was see-through. When dadcat was done, I went to my spot on the couch and scratched. But it was pawful, my paws stuck to the couch! I was so scared I did a tapdance all over the couch - something had my paws!! It was so hard to pick them up that I ran away once I could. It was pawful... so pawful...

Then I was on the laptop with mama like always. She was typing too much and I bit her. She scruffed my neck and slowly let go of it until I stopped. I didn't quite know what she was doing but she told dadcat she got some advice at work and that I "was like a spoiled child, but not happy." (anyfur know what that is?) So she said she's conditioning me to not lash out anymore and so dadcat's not allowed to make me mad on purpose anymore. So now I have all these pawful rules to follow and I don't want to! If you have any advice let me know.

Uh oh... spaghettioooooo!

So it all started Friday night when mama left the leftover spaghetti on the stove. She knew she was taking a chance but I was on my best behavior so she thought maybeeeeeee I wouldn't get it in it. Boy was she wrong! In the middle of watching their movie they heard a clink, clink, clink... coming from the kitchen. Sparky! Get outta there! is what I heard before I went running.

It was worth it though. Mmm I loves me some spaghetti sauce! The pawrents have been awfully sick with a bad, bad cold. When mama was having her bad bad day and papa just a bad day, it happened. Papa said "what's that awful smell?" Let's just say, the spaghetti decided to make a reappearance... on the wall! Papa doesn't even know how I did it. He said he was grossed out and amazed. MOL.

Hunting away

I've been suuuper busy hunting squirrels and such from my window. So much so that I was exhausted last night and attacked mama..... twice. She was not happy with me and still isn't really talking to me, but that's ok. MOL. Nothing much new to report other than mama brought home a new plant and I like to eat it even though I'm not supposed to. Meeoww!

Finally rested

I haven't been on Catster lately because I've had so many squirrels to hunt down. A loose cat has been coming to our back door and I go nuts too. I've been so rattled I haven't been able to type! I jumped and jumped and was all in a tizzy. So much so that I attacked dadcat by accident too.

This weekend we had visitors and they had a little human with them. Momcat says that was my guinea pig. Not sure what she meant but guinea pig sounds good doesn't it?

The little human was ok but it moved kind of fast and I didn't like that. I scratched it, got scruffed and went under a chair. One night I got really tired and momcat locked me in the bedroom, which I thought was really mean.

Gotta go hunt more squirrels!

Tuff guy

I got so many prezzies over the last week I haven't been able to keep up! My furriends spoil me way too much mama says.

The neighbors have noticed that I am a very good watch cat. I wait in the window and make sure the neighborhood is in order and everyone is where they're supposed to be. Tonight mama brought my box down so dadcat could clean it.

It was raining so hard with thunder and lightning outside. Mama opened my back door cause she said I needed to know that outside was bad and scary. It was sooo loud and pawful that I hid under a chair! Then I got brave enough and I got wet from the rain. Well I did not like that so I walked away.

When they looked over, I was in my box taking a poopie doop. MOL they were laughing so hard but I didn't know why. MOL.

DDP and ice cream

So last night was 90 degrees here (about 30 for my Aussie furriends) and I was hot. I mean I had it with being stuck in a warm house. So when mama got her ice cream out I told her I wanted some. I keep pawing at the dish, time and time again. She actually got kinda mad. But because I was so persistent she put it on the ground so I could lick the bowl! (This is a big deal for me b/c I'm on a special diet.) It was sooo yummy and I licked that bowl clean. I daresay my furriend Platelicker better watch out, because I'm good at this. Mama said she couldn't even tell it had been used, MOL.

Word on the street

The many opinions have been fascinating to read. Ok so who likes change, no one I think. I like some of the new stuff but I agree with furs that we want to show off Catster's life - it's members! I don't think that comes through very well from the home page. I agree about taking the FB stuff off. Those of us who love Caster know they're there. The small icons are effective at the top but take up less space. Could we add a diary to the pull down menu? The old one didn't have it either but those of us who paw in our diaries a lot could use that.

But I like the background and cat toys a lot. I think that shows the humor of Catster's catsters. A lot of furs are giving great constructive criticism and some aren't. For those that are being mean, remember there are humans behind these decisions. They're not purrfect like we cats are - that's why we purr and they don't. MOL.
