too much

Well, I just threw up. mom cleaned it up and comforted me. Now I'm cleaning my face. What a birthday! Goodnight, everybody!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I am one year old today! I am happy to be alive and loved! my mommy loves me SO MUCH. she posted a baby kitten pic of me with one of my brothers. I didnt meet my mom until I was 7 months old, so she didn't get to experience me in my tiny kitten time unfortunately. she got tons of pics from the breeders, who are great people. I see them every now and then, they love me too. Happy Birthday to Me! Hurray!
And thank you to my catster friends for the love, happy laughs, and attention! looking forward to many years of friendship!

spring cleaning

Spring is almost here, almost time for spring cleaning. I did my best to remind mommy, by helping her clean today. She had so much stuff out on her dresser, so I very helpfully swept it all off with my paw. The remote control, her hair clips, tissues, her wallet, envelopes, make-up, pens. I just HATE to see a messy surface. You're welcome, mommy.

Today, while momma and I played with one of my rattling mice, she noticed that my brakes have improved tremendously. I used to run run run! then slide slide slide! then CRASH! Into the wall or whatever. I was like a Ferrari with a reckless driver. But now, I am EXPERT at going fast then turning and stopping. Nice and tidy stop. Beee-u-tee-ful! I am still a Ferrari, but I just know how to control it. Fast and furious!

the man in the mirror

When I was younger, I was afraid of my reflection in the mirror. Especially if my mom carried me to the mirror. Yes, I know, very embarrassing, especially since I am not afraid of almost anything now. Anyway, it's been awhile since I was scared like that. You can't fool me! That's not a strange cat!
Last night, mom was making something and giving me sneaky looks. uh oh. Suddenly, she picked me up and put something green and uncomfortable on my head. she carried me over to the mirror, and what do I see? A STRANGE CAT WEARING A GREEN HAT! I stared and the cat's eyes got bigger! I struggled and flailed out of mommy's arms and SO DID THE STRANGER! I ran as fast as I could into a bag. Mom took me out and put me on the bed. I allowed her to take a couple pics, then she took pity on me, and took off the hat.
Today, she tried again and put the hat and a collar on me. We went over to the mirror- I started to struggle, then she brought me close so I could sniff the stranger. oh. How silly of me. That's me! And don't I look great in green?
I settled down a little and we took some pictures. She even changed the collar. By then I had had enough, and tried to shake off the hat. Shake shake! Mommy took it off. Hurray! I love being naked! Happy St Patricks Day everyone! Let's spend it in the nude. At least the kitties.

Blackout!

something's happening! there are no lights on! I can hear rain and loud wind. mom told me it's a rainstorm. she lit the candles and pushed me back when I tried to look at them.
right now she is playing with my number one rival: the iPhone. she can hear me playing with a rattling mouse.
uh oh- quiet! where am I? D'oh! right by her feet.
okay, mommy, time to throw the mouse for me!

last night I stole a beef dumpling out of the toaster oven. Mommy thinks we will have to work on my manners.

This morning I touched mommy's face with my paws. Then I sat behind her pillow and put my paws on either side of her head like it's a crystal ball.
"I see... a can of Wellness beef & chicken!"

I have been testing out new ways to wake up mommy at 5:30 am.
My usual way is to knock things off the desk with my paw. pencil cup, remote control, anything. Sometimes I get on top of her chest and purr and nuzzle her face. The other day I got on her chest and I pressed my paw on her mouth. Mommy laughed and asked if I was trying to suffocate her. She told her boyfriend about it, and he said that's what the little troll does in the eighties movie "Cat's Eye". True! And mommy does love that movie, but she knows it's me, not some evil troll. As if I would let a little troll run around here! I'd squash him in the dark. Anyways... this morning I stepped on her cheek. Twice.
I just want to play and get my breakfast a little early. Wake up you lazy mommy!

Tonight mommy and I are watching the Oscars. She thinks Sandra Bullock's Marchesa dress is beautiful. Me, I prefer being naked. We both thought the John Hughes tribute was great but should have been longer! Mommy grew up on John Hughes. If I was a John Hughes character, I would be Ferris Bueller: adorable, charming, smart, troublemaker. That's what mommy thinks, I'm actually sleeping on her bed under the blanket. ooo- Rachel McAdams dress is great too. Meryl Streep looks amazing, like Bette Davis in Now,Voyager.
