OMC! It is my meowday and my furmily has been telling me that evfurry time they walk past me and then I get some extra ear and chin scritchings, too. I love all the attention...but don't think that I nevfur get any when it is an 'ordinary'day! MOL!But today they are just adding some extra loving words...
Well that Jack Frost dude was furry busy at our den this past night. When the big light in the sky got turned on, gradually through the fog...yes, fog at 25F!...I could see that all the trees and bushes were all covered in thick white fur! Too bad it wasn't Christmas morning!
It sure was a wonderfur sight to behold...but it didn't last, cause the sunlight made it fade away, before meowmy could get some pictures.
But it was nice of the Jack Frost Dude to think of making it a spawsial morning fur me! Thanks JF!
Well since I got my birthday gifts with my Christmas presents, together with Pipo, there won't be anything to open up today...but there sure are lots of nice purrsents on my page, here from all of my wonderfur furends! Thanks so much, all of you! I love you all!
Eventually I will try to send out purrsonal thank you notes.
It sure gets busy at our den...with all these yearly catabrations all coming so close together fur us! Now meowmy will have to put up a New Year's pic fur me & Pipo...hope that Catster will not be down...yesterday, when we tried to get on, the furs there said they were taking a bath! At least they came out of the tub after a couple of hours! OMC! Was that a flea dip they were having?? I am glad I didn't have to sit in the tub with them...MOL!
May you all have a safe and fun New Year's Eve, and a furry Happy New Year!

Its Boxing day!
So that is why I like boxes? They made a holiday for us kitties...what kitty can't resist a good box to hide in, ambush someone or poke a paw out of to shag a toy or a passer by!
MOL!
Or perhaps it is a day to go boxing? But while I often have tiffs with my furbros, I don't think I would want to see a real boxing fight...I am a kitty, and I like peaceful activities!
Actually, Boxing Day is British, also celebrated in other countries, such as Canada. The folks would make up boxes and deliver them to families in need.
It is my furbro Pipo's Birthday! Happy Birthday, Pipo!
It is also my Grammy's Birthday!
She is 92, today...but unfortunately, she has not got much memory of anything these days, hardly knows when she gets a visit, and talking on the phone with her is so hard, because she is very deaf, and never wanted a hearing aide...but now she would probably not be able to properly use it.
We called her yesterday to wish her a Happy Christmas, and now we are waiting for our uncle to go there and put us in touch, so we can wish her a Happy Birthday!
Oh the sad days of life, when we can no longer function very well, and the children become the parents...but we do cherish having her with us, still...even though she had to go to a nursing home several months ago...she kept falling, and uncle couldn't help her properly. She seems to like the added activity there, too...there is more going on around her, than in her home.
I don't know that I as a kitty will get to be that elderly, but for now I will accept the fact that soon I will be also having a milestone marker on my lifeline...all of 6 years!
Meowmy posted up some new pics of me and some of our Christmas and birthday gifts. We got the B'day gifts early...cause the pawrents will be too busy on those days, and also then my unfurbros could watch us play with them!
And there is some pics in which you can see Skeezix giveaway gift. It is blue. Just the right color, I love blue! Thanks Skeezix!
Soon, meowmy will put up some pics for my B'day...
The snow storms of late have not bothered us too much, so we are able to get around quite well, or rather our pawrents!
Hope that the current storm in the northeast and southeast does not cause too much trouble...hope that all our furends in its path stay warm, cozy and above all safe.

Wow!]
Christmas/Catmas has come!
After all the getting ready, and stuff like that, it is great to finally say to all furs and furends:
Meowy Catmas/Merry Christmas!
Santapaws has been busy on my page, dropping off prezzies and stuff.
Thanks so much to all of you, and when the catretary has some spare time?!?, she will try to send out thank yous.
We got our Skeezix giveaway, yesterday! That box was the best...I jumped right into it...my bum is small, so I was able to sit in there...then I tried to eat some of the packing crinkled paper...then I found the catnip bag inside the box! OMC! I started to bite that so that there were holes in it...and then nip was flowing out! Heaven! I was nuts! Meowmy picked up that bag to rescue it, and put it in the kitchen drawer! Then she saw me go there and try to pry open the drawer!
Shucks! It still has a baby lock on it from the days when my unfurbros were babies! Busted and thwarted!
So then I went back to the box, and jumped in, and began an ambush on the eggsersizer toy package...
Later meowmy put some catnip in there, and I had fun rolling around. She can't put treats in it unless dog guy is not here, cause he would get a-hold of it...and likely destroy it! That Dog! Wat a rascal he can be sometimes...but I still gave him and ear wash!
Thank you Skeezix!
Today we got our other gifts, and also our birthday purrsents!
Kind iof a bummer to have a birthday so close to Catmas, but meowmy will be too busy with other things on MY day!
This way Pawppy is home, too!
Then she tried to make some pics...hee-hee!
I was not cooperating too much...but then I smelled the nip! It was in a bag on the dining room table!
I was in cat-heaven...and she has pics of me 'killing' stuff!
One of the very few times when she let me get on the dining room table!
Pipo was there, too, but he was not in portrait mode/mood!
It has been dull outside, and so the camera had to be used with flash, and that is what bothers him...plus the ping! it sounds when it is turned on!
Last night we had fun romping and rustling in the paper wrappings as they were cast off the opened presents...my furmily prefers to open the gifts on Christmas Eve...so they can more focus of the real meaning of Christmas on that day.
They left early this morning to go to church. While they were gone, Pipo & I could smell the turkey roasting...Mmmm!
We got a tidbit of it, too, at dinner time. Now all the peeps and pets are napping...so I guess I shall go and join them fur a while!
Have a nice remainder of this Catmas Day!

This is the same entry as Pipo has...to get the word out as best as possible:
Hi Furs in Catsterland!
Many of us here know Angel Ava Corrine and her furmily.
That would be Minka, Purrsia, Andy, Arli and Avery, as well as their doggy brofur, Augie...all together with momcat Karen.
Their computer has crashed and they cannot do anything except very limited checking on things from her phone.
So frustrating at this time of the year...she can't make diary entries, comments or other stuff like that.
But she would like all of your furs out there know that she is thinking of you, and wants to convey her best wishes to you all for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Someone is coming to see if they can help her computer get back up, but Karen thinks that it may need to get into a shop for repair. AARRGH! Poor Karen!
So, now even if you want to send her stuff, she may not be able to respond or even see it...she feels so bad, but We will be her spokeskitty during these special days.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Meowy Catmas and a Purry New Year to all of our Catster Furends!
Love, Angel Ava, Minka, Purssia, Arli, Andy and Avery.
Thanks fur bearing with this family and hope they get things fixed really soon!
Here is a link to Ava's page:

You can get to her furblings from that page
Merry Christmas from us, too!

Folks and furs, meowmy read this heart wrenching poem somewhere else, but thought she wanted others to read it too...get out you hankies & tissues. This is so true, and why no one should be allowed to give pets as gifts, esp to young children, at Christmastime or other gift giving occasions.
Christmas Kitten
I once was a cuddly kitten
But now I am a stray
'Cause when I was no longer fun
They sent me on my way
They've kept their big watchdog
As he can bark and growl
But I could fly at strangers
If I caught them on the prowl
I slink around their garbage can
I mew outside their door
But it's clear from their behavior
They don't want me anymore
Now I'm cold and hungry
And getting very thin
What have I done to hurt them
Why wont they let me in
I crouch in sheds and boxes
In my bedraggle fur
So shivery and dejected
I cannot even purr
They have another kitten
Their children's whole delight
But probably next Christmas
It will share my wretched plight.

So now that you are in the throes of sniffling...dab your tears away, and read these cute and rather wise words, out of the mouths of babes, so to speak:
Can you say "I love you" any better?
What Love means to a 4 - 8 year old . . Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it.
Touching words from the mouth of babe
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?' The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:
'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'
Terri - age 4
'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'
Danny - age 7
'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more.
My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss'
Emily - age 8
'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'
Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)
'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday..'
Noelle - age 7
'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'
Tommy - age 6
'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'
Cindy - age 8
'My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'
Clare - age 6
'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'
Elaine-age 5
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'
Chris - age 7
'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'
Mary Ann - age 4
'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'
Lauren - age 4
'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image)
Karen - age 7
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'
Mark - age 6
'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'
Jessica - age 8
And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
'Nothing, I just helped him cry'
When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this.
"Heavenly Father, please bless all my friends in whatever it is that You know they may be needing this day! And may their life be full of Your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with You Amen."
The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They simply are the ones who care the most.
---
So now that your spirits are once again uplifted, go and have a nice weekend!
Oh, and I love you!

My meowmy can be dangerous to be around!
She came in from taking dog-guy fur his daily stroll.
Removed lots of garments...and walked over to me who was sitting on the nice and warm CPU...I stretched out to get my chin scritched and ZAP! I got a shock on the end of my snoot! So I jumped off the CPU and ran away as fast as I could...even before meowmy could apologize about the static discharge on my snoot...
But eventually I came back, and I forgave meowmy, and got my cuddles and scritches.
Be carefur of your peeps who may carry dangerous, unseen weapons on their personal appendages!

OMC! Meowmy has just seen the little birthday cake that signifies that I have been on Catster for one year, plus one week! How time flies! So much has happened since she started 'showing us off'!
But we and she love being here, and there is so much fun stuff to do. Pipo has been here a day longer than me...but that's OK cause he is a few days older than me!
We both have our meowdays in the week after Christmas! We will be 6.
Wow! Meowmy can hardly believe that!
Seems so fresh in her memory of us being such little teeny fluff balls! And I was such a dirty stinky little runt. Not sick, really, but just very neglected. Now while I am not very big, I sure look a lot more like a real kitty than that first day or two at meowmy's place...even the vet was impressed how I thrived, cause he thought I would not. Meowmy has lots of baby pics of me, but none of that day she took me out of my birth house...
Birthday; this meant that there was yet another excuse fur meowmy to have a picture session with us. I did pretty well, until I tried to eat some of the streamers on the birthday horns...and then I started retching on the picture taking set up! MOL! Just goes to show you meowmy, that I don't like these sessions...but after I was cleaned up, and watched more carefur-ly so that I would not chew that stuff again, she took about a gazillion more pics! But you all will just have to wait until Christmas is done, before I let meowmy show them too you! MOL!
We meanwhile are getting more ready fur Christmas.
Cards, etc...
Pipo & I got a pawresent from Simone and River...one of their famouse catnip pillows.
Thanks so much!
I attacked the envelope that was holding the pillow, and nearly had it open before meowmy realized what I was doing! Then I tried to climb into the empty envelope, while Pipo had a go at the pillow.
I truly am a 'nip' fiend!
I wonder what I shall find in my stocking fur Christmas, and in my meowday pawresent?

This morning the temp was above freezing at 34F.
Then it started to blow and snow..and the temp is now 17F.
The stuff of blizzards!
Meowmy even had to shut the doggy door, the wind was trying to come in the house.
There isn't that much snow, but with the wind, it is furry hard to see anything!
Here is a haiku...a special type of poetry, Which meowmy learned to do from a doggy pal, Zaidie...some of you furs may know him.
Wind is blowing hard,
And the snow is drifting, too,
A winter blizzard!
Meowmy wrote another one about a prettier snow event...
Snow fell through the night,
Covered all with its blanket,
Soft, fluffy and white.
So, there you have it...being housebound is the stuff that creativity comes from! If there was no storm, there would be no poem!
Meowmy hopes that the weather will not be like this when our unfurbros come home from college for the holidays...but if it stays cold, it fur sure will be a white Catmas! Then we can make these: ☃ with all of the ❆ that is around!
Purrs!
Stay warm & cozy!

OMC! Meowmy nearly fell off her chair this morning!
Not only was Pipo a DDP, (Concats to him from me, by the way!), I was also a DDP, for the second day in a row! Wow! (Meowmy didn't think that that would even ever be possible with all the kitties who are on Catster!)
Did you read her complaints yesterday about being busy...well, today has been doubly busy! MOL!!
Poor, poor Freckles, our doggy brofur! He is feeling neglected! (Not!)
We got treats in the form of some cheese, some yogurt and some sour cream.YUM! And lots of playtime, and cuddles!
Meowmy was putting laundry away, so I came to help, and saw a big box. There had been pears in there, but now it was empty. So I pushed it open, and climbed right in, making myself a new nest! Peek-a-boo, too!
Later after I got bored with that, I helped meowmy to wrap up a gift that had to go in the mail...I tried to chew the corners of the package, so that the recipient, who is a cat lover, would see my greeting, too. She misses having cats, anymore, but at age 87, she does not want to have any live ones...so she has quite the collection of real looking toy ones! Some of which she got from meowmy.
Then the fun started for real!
Meowmy opened up all the new baubles that were to go on the 2 table trees which we have here.
She had them all sorted according to color and texture...and then she went looking for the hooks. NONE! She dug high and low, and was sure that she had seen them earlier. Eventually she gave up, put all those pretty balls in that pear box and went off to do other things!
The trees will have to wait still another day to get dressed up!
Thank you furry much to so many of you, who sent me messages and gifts, yet again.
Meowmy tries to thank you for each one, but right now there are so many of them (and including a load for Pipo), she hopes no one will be insulted for getting their thanks by way of my diary!
I love you all, and want to purr, and knead in all of your laps, as well as send you some of my patented kitty hair lickings!
(I regularly use my sandpaper tongue on meowmy's hair! She still remembers when her hair was gone from chemo, and I would try to groom her scalp! OMC!)
Now I will purr my good nights to all of you out there in my beloved Catster-land!

Meowmy took a quick peek at her e-mail this morning, way early, before she had to be gone all day!
Lo and Behold...I was a DDP! And not only that, two of my furends are DDP's, too...Nadia and Samoa. Concats to them, too!
So I have had to wait a long time to play here...but better late than nevfur!
First of all, I wish to say a sincere thank you to all of you who have sent gifts and messages. I so do appawsiate all of you fur sending them to me. My gift box and mail box are full! Whee-o-whee! My slave will be keeping her fingers busy! At least she has already treated me to some good nip! And a good dose of lap time...
There is this big bag waiting fur meowmy's attention. It has these sparkling, glittering, shiny balls in it. Surely those little balls are meant fur me to be toys to swat all over the floor?! My purrsent fur being a DDP!? WHUT? They are to be put on the tree? Well, then at least I will have a load of kitty fun, trying to snag them and bash them to the floor.
Well, it is late yet again another day has slipped away, and meowmy still hasn't done her Christmas cards fur Europe, or Canada...she mostly can send E-cards, now, but there are some relatives of hers who do not have 'puters...
Good night to all, and may all sleep nice and cozy on this furry cold night!
