Skills:
Sylvester was a watch cat. He alerted us to potential danger so we could act appropriately. He also was a search-and-rescue cat who actually found my other cats when they got lost!

Arrival Story:
I lost a cat to FIP when I went to the local shelter to adopt a cat; the house was empty without a pet. I spotted this cat I thought to be full grown and neutered. I found out the hard way that neither was the case--he peed and stunk up the house. Sylvester was only 6 months old when he adopted me. He looked full grown because he was a Maine Coon kitten--not a full grown cat--and he ended up reaching his full weight of 20 pounds when he was 5!

Bio:
Sylvester had gone to Rainbow Bridge in February of 2003, shortly after I lost my mom to a heart attack, and my apartment to eviction. I had no choice but to surrender him to a shelter, where they put him to sleep because of his severe asthma.
