Modern Kitty Art Sneaks into Kari Egan’s Pop Doggie Shop

Adorable prints and refrigerator magnets of cats take over a site named for dogs.

Illustrator Kari Egan created Pop Doggie to put a smile on the face of dog lovers and friends, but she’s doing a pretty good job of entertaining cat lovers, too. She describes her aesthetic as modern canine art and dog magnets with a twist, but her feline-inspired designs reveal a deeper knowledge of cats than she may be letting on.

Egan’s “Cats Being Cats” print is an amusing take on their tendency to do exactly the opposite of what they are supposed to do, while the “Heater Vent Kitty” magnet adorably illustrates the endearing feline habit of picking the warmest spot in the house to let it all hang out.

If you have a puss who is prone to disappearing, the “In or Out Cat” magnet is the purrfect tool to help everyone keep track of kitty’s whereabouts. And is “OS X Tabby” anything but a not-so-subtle nod to how cats are taking over the Internet?

Cat and dog owners rejoice at this modern art shop that caters to animal lovers of all stripes. Check out more of Kari’s fun designs at Pop Doggie on Etsy.
