Persian cats come in many different colors and typically have long hair that requires daily grooming. They have round faces and short muzzles. They are known for their sweet and gentle dispositions, making them one of the most sought-after cats in the U.S.

If you’re looking for a Persian breeder in the state of Florida, you have plenty of breeders to choose from. Below you will find 10 reputable breeders in the state.

The 10 Persian Kitten Breeders in Florida

1. Mercedes Cats

📍 Palm Coast, Florida

This small cattery specializes in bi-colors, vans, torties, blue, chocolates, calico, lilacs, and Himalayan Persians. All kittens receive one-on-one attention and have free reign of the breeder’s home. All parent cats are DNA tested for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), and all kittens go home with a Florida Health Certificate.

All cats and kittens are tested for FeLV/FIV and can go home to their forever family at 8 weeks.


2. Barmont Cat and Cornish Rex

This cattery breeds from top bloodlines and has solid, bi-color, and parti-color Persian kittens available. They have been registered with the Cats Fanciers’ Association (CFA) since 1973 and have produced national and regional winning cats. The kittens are socialized and raised in a clean environment.

A non-refundable $300 deposit is required to reserve a kitten.


3. Beaubell

This CFA and international award-winning cattery sells solid, tabby, bi-color, and parti-color kittens. They are dedicated to showing and improving the breed and were awarded the CFA Cattery of Excellence. Check out their website to find more information about their kittens currently available.

The breeders are British and became USA emigrants in 1992.


4. Ocalicos Persians

📍 Ocala, FL

These breeders specialize in breeding tri-color and bi-color Persians. They are registered with CFA and adhere to the CFA standard of breeding, using only Persian parents with champion bloodlines. They only ship internationally via air cargo and do not ship within the U.S. All kittens receive plenty of love, personal attention, and socialization.

This breeder converted their attached two-car garage into a climate-controlled cattery for their kittens. Occasionally, a retired, altered Persian will be available for adoption, too.


5. Purr Kitty

📍 Miami, FL

This CFA-registered cattery specializes in bi-color and solid white Persians. They use Pedigree cats as their foundation cats, and all kittens are tested negative for PKD, FeLV/FIV, and HCM. All kittens will have the necessary vaccines, be spayed/neutered, and come with a certified health certificate. Their kittens are known for their sweet temperaments.

If you are interested in a kitten from this cattery, the first step will be to fill out the questionnaire from their website. From there, the breeder will contact you with information about available kittens.


6. Storybrooke Persians

This small cattery works with reputable breeders within their area to use the best bloodlines as foundation cats. This breeder’s cats typically have deep coloring with wide eyes, small ears, and short bodies. They range anywhere from 8 to 12 pounds. All kittens come with a Florida health certificate, are up to date on all vaccines, tested PKD and FeLV negative, and are fungus and parasite-free.

The kittens are raised in the breeder’s home with lots of love and socialization. Litters are only available twice a year, but you can ask to be added to the waiting list when litters become available.


7. Belcher Purrs

This breeder specializes in bi-color and exotic shorthair Persians. They are dedicated to raising the kittens with the utmost socialization. Their two sons, ages 9 and 14, help with the socialization process by exposing them to cuddles, being held, and becoming familiar with children’s toys, such as video games, masks, etc.

This cattery is dedicated to the safety of the parents and does not overbreed the females. Kittens will be fully vaccinated, go home with a certified Florida Health Certificate, and test negative for FeLV and parasites.


8. Altyn Cattery

📍 Sarasota County, Florida

CFA-registered, this cattery specializes in solid, tabby, and bi-colored Persians, as well as exotic kittens. All breeding cats test negative for PKD and FeLV and go home with a Florida Health Certificate and vaccinations. The number of vaccinations received depends on the time of purchase.

They are also worm and flee-free. Kittens are available at 12 weeks. This cattery has been quoted as being “a pleasure to deal with.”


9. Cats Creation

This cattery has been breeding Persians for over 5 decades. They have teacup Persians available and specialize in silver, white, and golden. They breed to produce healthy kittens with sweet and gentle personalities, and all cats and kittens come from pedigree lines. All kittens test negative for FeLV/FIV, are examined for external and internal parasites, and will have received their first shot and deworming.

The kittens are showered with love from birth and are socialized with grooming and playtime. Kittens go home at 8–10 weeks with a health certificate from a licensed vet. They ship to most major airports, as well as hand-deliver your kitten to several locations.


10. Ethereal Persians

This small cattery specializes in the doll face Persians, which they feel is a healthier breed of Persian and resembles the traditional Persian from the 1960s. All kittens are spayed/neutered and are available for adoption at 12 weeks.

All come with a Florida Health Certificate, microchip, a 1-year health guarantee, vaccines, kitten care packages comprised of grooming accessories, CFA registration, health certificate, and other necessary paperwork.
