Friends, I need some help figuring this out. I overheard Mom say some strange things. What could she be talking about? Here is what I heard:

A week ago it was two ninety-nine.
On Tuesday Mom really needed some but because it was Xpensive with three Oh seven, she only got a little bit.
On Wednesday Mom kicked herself for not getting more because now it had gone up to three seventeen.
On Furrsday I overheard Mom talking that it is just outrageous and how do they Xpect people to be able to afford it. And three twenty-five was just way too much.

There was alot of grumbling and mumbling and Mom didn't look happy at all. Whatever it is, there seems to be some gas involved. It can't be me. I haven't been gassy lately. I admit, sometimes a tiny amount of gas escapes me. But I don't think it's enough for any of the women in my house to notice.

Now I have noticed that we are a little short on cat food. I hope that she is not talking about cat food. I have been asking for seconds a lot lately. Oh please let it not be cat food! Well, I guess I could cut down a little bit if it would help Mom out.

What could Mom be talking about? Any ideas?

I think if we harnessed all the newmies from the kitties in the world, we wouldn't need gasoline from other countries. My mommy can have my newmies for free!

Ooooh, so our peepL are buying gas, and lots of it. I wonder why they need so much gas. I'm always happy when I don't have gas.
$4 a gallon in San Funfrancisco. Wow, that's alot Luke.
Finnegan - I like your idea with the biogas made from newmies. Yes kitties, LET'S FREE THE USA FROM FOREIGN GAS! That's probably why Mom always picks our newmies out of the box. She makes biogas out of it. I bet, if you dry newmies, you could also burn them in our fireplace.
The many uses of newmies. Newman should write a new chapter.

Tabbies - you are right on. Fishing for trout is so much more fun than buying gas, price less.

Need to go and give Mom some more material to make biogas.

I liked that idea up until you said to burn it in the fireplace, MOL. El stinko!!!! But other than that I think it's a terrific idea! Let's make lots of newmies to put in the gas tanks. That'll supply everyone with enough gas forever and ever! No more oil! that way, we can get to the lake to fish for trout. Right?

Congrats on being a DDP today!

Where we live, gas cost $3.29 yesterday. It's probably higher today. Food prices will probably go up too and that includes CAT food!
