My time living in J-Pop's place with Thor and Blitz

I lived in mommy’s room for half the day, enjoying the cool air from the air conditioner, kitten food, water, and best of all, plenty of attention. I like to hop around like a bunny rabbit because that would get me chuckles and smiles, and I love to drop on the floor and lie there with my pot belly facing the sky so that in a few seconds, I could get a belly rub. See how smart I am! Mommy fed me yummy kitten food and when I finished, I licked my chops to let mommy know how delicious it was. I was so full and so sleepy! So as I was sitting there, purring like a motor, I began to fall asleep, monkey style! Yeah, monkey style; you know, how like a monkey sits at the base of a tree and starts to nod off to sleep. Yep, monkey style is the best, especially when I sleep with my arms and legs sprawled apart. Everything was all good until I was woken up and carried to a car.
My adopted dad, a.k.a. J-Pop, has an apartment where I could stay for a while and that was where they were taking me. I know mommy and I have only met for a few hours, but doesn’t she know that I despise cars? I hate the way they look, the way they sound, the way they make me feel when I am in ‘em – basically, I hate CARS. I cried throughout the whole ride. I felt so uneasy; I really want to get out. I tried hiding behind mommy but that didn’t help; I crawled to the back seat, climbed to the back windows, climbed back down to the seats onto the floor, then back to the front where I ended up being next to the break pedal for a while. There was really no way out! I was in total distress. We, finally, arrived at the apartment. J-Pop gathered me in his arms while mommy got the doors.
They opened the door of the apartment and out rushed Thor and Blitz, my soon to be BFFs! Even though I knew I was smaller than Thor and Blitz, I hissed and growled at them to keep their distances. Mommy and J-Pop thought it was best if they kept me secluded in one room and the boys in another. After a few days of not getting along, I gave up the hissing and growling. As the cats on the streets would say, “If you can’t beat them, join them. Meow!” Besides, having enemies sucks and I rather have someone to play with than to be isolated in a room. I made everyday afterwards fun and wild. I would chase Blitz and Thor around the room even though I’m half their size and I would play fight with them while they’re in the middle of grooming. LOL. That was really fun to do. I had the best time while living with J-Pop.
After 4 months of goofing around with my BFFs, mommy decided that it was time for me to come back home to her. She felt so love-sick while I was away and hates it that she never spends enough time with me. Although I know mommy loves me lots and I love mommy uber much too, my time with Thor and Blitz is a nostalgic memory that I frequently visit.

When I met Mommy

I was drowsily lounging around on the cement porch of a row home that thankfully had no busy traffic of people coming in and out. Come to think of it, no one has been coming in or out for a while, at least not when I was there. It was a Sunday morning and it was dog-gone-it hot; scorching to be honest. I havent eaten in days and was uber depressed that my mommy (biological mom) was no where to be found. A couple (Hoang and Melissa) walked pass me. I’ve been crying all week for someone to come and take care of me, so when I cried again for attention, it came out as a tiny whimper. Luckily, they heard me and walked right back. I was so happy! Forgetting that I haven’t eaten nor drank in days, I pranced around the cement porch, then plopped on the floor with my belly up in the air. They gave me a belly rub and I purred and purred. A car passed by and I got scared again, so I retreated to a corner where I thought I would be the safest. They discussed what to do with me and in a few minutes, my future mommy appeared! She cooed about how tiny I was and gave me non-ending love scratches. I resumed my purring again, and the next thing I knew, she swept me into her arms and away she walked. She laid me on her bed with the air condition running; it felt so good, I purred even louder! Ever since then, where ever mommy goes, I am just a step behind her.
