I haven’t used a FURminator deshedding tool in a long time, so when the friendly folks at Chewy.com offered to send me one, I decided to give it a try again. Allegra eats a primarily raw diet and as a result, she doesn’t shed much, but I still brush her every day, and I still get some hair out of her, so I was curious to see what the FURminator would do for her.
Description
The FURminator deShedding Edge Cat Brush features a stainless-steel edge that reaches through topcoat to remove loose hair and undercoat without damaging the topcoat or cutting skin when used as directed. The ergonomic handle provides comfort for the human, and the curved edge provides conforms to the cat since it conforms to her natural shape.
Putting the FURminator deShedding Edge Cat Brush to the test
The tool is easy to maneuver, and Allegra seemed to really like the feel of it on her skin. I had forgotten just how much hair this tool removes, and how quickly and easily it does so.
The tool comes with an ejection button designed to make it easy to release the hair, but I didn’t really think that feature was necessary. It was just as easy to pull the hair off the tool with my fingers.
My take on the FURminator deShedding Edge Cat Brush
This is a great addition to your cat’s grooming routine. Combined with a regular brushing routine, it will keep shedding to a minimum
