I just wanted to wish my good friend from San Francisco, Baci, and her new fursband Redd Catt all the best in wedded bliss. I was bestowed as her meowaid of honor. They were married on Saturday, October 24th on board The CHRISTINA-O YACHT in Venice, Italy.

The ceremony went smoothly, the nuptials were romantic and sweet, and a great time was had by all at the reception. Chef and friend Rooster catered the entire event, and all of the food was heavenly!

I hope they are having the time of their lives honeymeowing in Crete. Can't wait to hear about your trip guys!

Kizmet or luck?

Aloha friends!

The word kismet is of foreign origin and is used in Turkish, Urdu, Hindi and Arabic. In Hindi it would be pronounced more like kismat, and it means "fate" or "destiny.

Whether it was kismet or luck, I feel very blessed to have won two drawings this week. I'm not usually a gambling cat, but I love playing lotto!

The first was ♥All Fur Fun's♥ HOT PAW Zealies Jackpot where just us cats - Frederic Chopin, Sam, Sasha, and myself picked lucky number 7 to share a great jackpot.

The second was the 53rd drawing of the Zealie Lotto Group. Charlie the cocker spaniel picked out the lucky numbered treats that revealed Dylan, Gizmo, and my lucky number 18. Wowza!

Well, I'm off to share my good karma with friends........

April Fools everyfur!

Tee hee hee! Happy April Fools Day!

Several of us kitties in the "Orange and White and We Look Alike" group swapped main photos today to confuse friends and amuse ourselves.

Well, I think it worked so well that even close friends didn't even notice the difference. I even tried baiting some good doggie friends with, "do I seem different today? Nothing was noticed, so I guess my swappee (the beautiful Ashley) and I really do look alike.

Some other great swaps involved Sparky and Winston, Bruce and Fillipusis, Andre and Micheal, Lewis and Boxie Brown, Dusty Miller and Kibbles, Alfie and Charlie, Sab and Sammy, Francis and Victor Gibbs, Nekko and Ginnger, Osiris and Buster, Clive and Titch, and transgender swaps (tee hee) Molly and Morris, Bo Peep and Sparky, Sweetie and Jason Cash, Nikki and McKinsey, Roxanne and Chance, Sparkman and Chloe', Sammy and Willow, Toby and Willow - now I'm really confused! I think there were a few triple or even quadruple swaps. (I apologize if I missed anycat or was incorrect about a swap.)

We sure had fun today! :-)

Aloha and Hauoli Makahiki hou!

Or as they say in Ireland - Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Daoibh and please pour me a pint o' Guinness - Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh! Sláinte! ...

Yowsa! What a great excuse to be Irish for a day! I received so many beautiful Irish prezzies from friends, thank you all so much! I feel so blessed to know such kind and considerate furends.

Oh, and mom let me snack on some corned beef and tried to feed me something green called - cabbage? Ick! Loved the beef but hated that green stuff! I also really loved the potatoes but was on the fence about the carrots. It was also fun seeing everyone's decorated pages and appended Irish names. Totally fun!

Erin go braugh!
(a phonetic version of "Éirinn go brách," which in Irish (Gaelic) means "Ireland Forever." It was an Irish blessing used used to express allegiance to Ireland. )

Rain rain go away!

Wowsers! It is common for it to rain a little bit each day here in the islands, but this storm has been a doosie!

The forecasters said to baton down the hatches and stock up on supplies for this whopper of a storm that is coming. We usually pay some attention to the forecast, but take it with a grain of salt (as they tend to exaggerate sometimes).

Well, this one arrived around 5pm Wednesday afternoon and has been dumping buckets and buckets on us here on Oahu and Kauai pretty steadily ever since. Last night was the worst! During the middle of the night there was relentless thunder, lightning, with gusty winds up to 35-40 mph along with more buckets and buckets of rain!! The wind and rain seemed to come from all directions and it seems that our backyard and street are somewhat flooded.

It's almost 8pm on Thursday and it's still raining! Sheesh! I just wish it would stop.

A tasty banana pie recipe from my friend Buster

Aloha everyone! I just wanted to post an update in my search for good banana recipes. My friend Buster from Honaunau on the big island of Hawaii gave me this tasty looking recipe to try.

He writes, "Mom likes to make a double crusted banana pie with bananas. The apple bananas are especially good. You take bananas, crushed pineapple, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut up bananas, enough for a deep dish pie crust, add a 10-12 oz can of crushed pineapple, drained about a cup of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and mix all together. Put in pie shell, top with another pie shell. Seal and poke holes in top crust. Bake @ 350 until golden brown. It is great served warm with vanilla ice cream, Mom makes this all the time when she has an abundance of bananas. Hope you try it!"

Boy does that sound tasty Buster! Mom will definitely try it with our next batch of bananas which should be in about a month or so. Much mahalo for this recipe!

Going bananas!!

Mom enjoys having a garden. She really loves being surrounded by tropical flowers and especially fruits and veggies. So speaking of fruits - we are up to our eyeballs in bananas! We've never grown them before, but our first tree produced an amazingly huge bunch of beautiful apple bananas.

We hadn't tried an apple banana until we moved out to Hawaii. They are actually very tasty - not quite as sweet as the Chiquita-type banana and smaller with a firm texture. The stilly thing about bananas is that THEY ALL RIPEN AT THE SAME TIME!! So, here we are with about 50 beautiful ripe bananas - trying to find all the tastiest recipes for them. So far we have made banana nut muffins, chocolate banana popsicles, and bananas foster. Yum! Actually, I haven't tried the popsicles, but have had a nibble or two of some muffins and some ice cream from the bananas foster dessert. Mom puts bananas in and on everything too. Even dad will eat one for a snack because he says "they're soooooo tiny and cute." Believe me, he's not a huge banana fan either, but is quickly becoming one. If anycat/dog has a favorite banana recipe, please pmail me and we would love to try it out! Aloha for now.
