Arrival Story:
I went to PetSmart one day in June of 2002 to look for a fish. The local no-kill animal shelter was there with lots of cats and dogs looking for new families. As I browsed the cats and kittens, I came across two kittens in a carrier together. I reached in to pet one of them and the other started meowing. I wanted just the little girl cat, but the nice lady from the shelter convinced me to take both the boy and girl cat. That day, I welcomed Apollo Anton and his sister Artemis Josephine into my home and heart. I can't imagine life without them.

Bio:
Apollo is so much better than most of the human males I know. These are the reasons why. -He is always willing to listen without arguing. -Sure he has lots of body hair, but it looks good on him! -He doesn't leave the toilet seat up. -He never complains about those "few pounds" you put on. -He shares the covers. -He doesn't snore loudly. -He won't complain about my dates. -He's always willing to cuddle. -He loves me unconditionally!

Ok, so it's that time of the year. Mommy calls it Christmas and tells me that "Santa Claws" is coming to visit me and Josie, but I call it "How much trouble can I get myself into?"
Mom put up some shiny stuff on the walls. She just hung it so high that I can't get to it. If I could get a hold of that though... Oh, I would love it.
I spent the time that I normally use to bother mommy in the bathtub just staring at it, ploting its demise.
In our front room, there is our Christmas tree and I don't know why mom won't let me play in it. This is why I don't understand: Mom puts the really shiny stuff up really high on the wall, but the tree has stuff within my reach to play with. She laughed at me for staring too much at the shiny stuff, but if I put a paw anywhere near the Christmas tree, suddenly it's "APOLLO, GETAWAYFROMTHETREE!!!!"
I'll get that shiny stuff, just you wait....

Here fishy!

Mommy decided to clean the fish bowl tonight. She cleaned the betta tank, and I got to watch. I appreciate mommy cleaning my "pets" bowl.
I so wanted to play with that fish. Mommy set it in a cup on the kitchen counter while she was cleaning the tank, and I sniffed the glass. Ooooh, water! And that bright colored fish swimming in there. I had to put my paw in there.
Then two things happened. First, I realized, water is very wet. I knew that before but I was more after the fish. Second, Mom yelled at me!
I knew I was in trouble then!
Now the fish is back in his tank and he seems happy. I can go back to ignoring him now. I'll focus my attention more on whatever Josie is doing.
