indoors Arrival Story: I was at the rescue shelter I volunteer at one day and some people returned this guy they had gotten 4 years ago as a kitten. They said he had cronic urinary tract infections and they could no longer afford his special diet food. (He doesn't have cronic UTIs- his previous home just didn't clean out his box enough! He's fine now.) He was scared to death at the shelter and hid under a blanket in his cage. I had just adopted out a blue point kitten I had fostered and fell for this guy. I swore I'd just take him home and foster him until we found him a home. But...he just went to my house and hid under the bed. I never saw him for months. I knew he'd eat and used the box but I never saw him. My old orange tabby, Bing, would go under the bed and sit with him every night....kind of saying..."hey, it's ok here". Every once in a while I'd lay by the bed and talk to him but he'd never come out. Finally 4 months later he started venturing out at night only and would sit on the bed in the cat room but any time me or a dog would walk by he'd run back under the bed. About a month later he finally came walking out of the room meowing with that very distinctive Siamese voice. He doesn't like the big dogs but he's ok with the ones about his size (he's large himself). He'll only come out at night still- but he's still here...and permanately.
